B.I recently got glasses from Visique in Lower Hutt and am extremely impressed with both the service I received and the glasses. The eye test was very thorough and as I expected I needed my first pair of glasses, I was then helped to choose a frame and the girl who helped was fantastic and made the choice very easy. I really recommend going to see these guys if you need to get your eyes checked.

P.5 stars is not enough for this Visique Team... Nick has provided excellent care and support looking after my wonderful husband for near on 12 years with his eye sight. So it was an obvious choice when I thought it time to get my own checked. My husband had over the years raved about the Visique team but I never thought much of it. After all , well... he married me so I just assumed he was easily impressed and not that fussy, LOL. But after I was diagnosed and horrified by the thought of having to wear glasses, Nick masterly and diplomatically navigated me through this unwanted reality. The wonderful Jess provided me with fabulous support and good honest advice selecting frames. 3 years on I now enjoy wearing glasses (they are blue!) and I look forward to catching up with the Visique team each November. Now its *both* my husband and I that rave about 'our' Visique team, often it starts because people often admire our glasses :) We recommend them without a doubt!
p.I really rate this place. The service is above and beyond and Nicolas (the owner/optician) really knows his stuff. His staff are all really friendly and knowledgeable and the follow up service is great. We get our daughters glasses here too. They are great with kiddies and their range of styles are spot on, she loves her glasses and constantly gets compliments on them which boosts her confidence no end! I believe you get what you pay for and here you get a commitment to quality and expertise you won't find at some of the low cost optometrists around these days. Highly recommended!
P.I wouldn't consider going to another optometrist. The checks and tests on my regular visits are thorough and comprehensive and, on occasion, when I've had concerns about my eye health Nick and the team have always managed to give me an appointment at very short notice. You get the sense that, as one of their clients, you really matter to them.
M.I cannot recommend going to see Nick and the team at Visique enough! I have recently started wearing the Ortho K lenses and it has made my vision better than it ever was with glasses. It is awesome to be able to do things like going to the gym and swimming (which I used to do without glasses) with perfect vision. The staff are all extremely friendly and helpful, would recommend!
p.Fantastic professional service. Nick and his team are welcoming and informative in their approach. They had on offer a large selection of current fashionable frames avaliable and so helpful with picking a stylish frame for myself and my children. Always feel well looked after during our appointments.
M.If you want the best experience, go and see these guys. I've been wearing glasses for 25 years now, and this was the best experience I've had at an optometrist. Friendly, efficient, very knowledgeable and helpful, and they seem to be a good team.
I love the glasses I was fitted with, they're the best I've had. So clear and light that sometimes I think I'm wearing my contacts.

I visited Visique on recommendation after I found my eyes playing up following a minor injury. After a very thorough consultation, it turns out that I had been struggling with my vision for a while but only became aware of it post injury. K.I walked in off the street 15 years ago. I had an eye exam and Nick confirmed no problem with my eyes and no change sufficient to warrant a change in prescription at the time. I have been going back every two years since. As a senior citizen I have had years of experience but Nick and his team are without peers.

Nick's intuition, thoroughness and experience was evident from the outset and the service and professionalism of him and his team were second to none. G.During a routine test, Nick identified some swelling on my optic nerve, using equipment that evidently only around 60% of optometrists have. He referred me to the hospital eye clinic for a second opinion, enabling the diagnosis of a very serious bacterial infection. Had it not been for Nick's astute observation and the right gear, I would have been in serious trouble. I now realise our eyes are the "window to our bodies" and regular checks by the right optometrist can potentially provide an early warning for a range of illnesses, not just eyesight. Well done Visique, and thank you.

K.Excellent experience as a new customer, from entering and being acknowledged immediately, to the friendly welcome and process of filling out info in a comfy waiting area. The wait wasnt long as there was much to view, like a tv with great ads for new glasses and then the glasses on display themselves which you can wander around and view or try on. Then a lovely and interesting eye exam with the most upto date technology, the peripheral eye machine was like playing video games, which was fun!! To the actual consult with Nick who is very professional, easy going, fun to talk too and made my appointment fun but very informative! Thanks also to Skyla who was patient with me at the end of the consult with buying my beautiful Bill Bass glasses too explaining the payment options I really appreciated this!
