Amazing service from the making of an appointment for an eye test through to picking up my new glasses. Friendly and welcoming staff, cannot complain and will sing their praises :)

The eye exam was first class - thanks heaps. The prescription is perfect for my eyes. The fitting of the glasses was really good - I bought 2 pairs. The progressive lenses, which are also transition, are the best I have ever worn. I will back should the need arise.

I had the most awesome experience with OPSM Rotorua (particularly with Carey) when it came to an insurance claim and replacing my bent Ray-Ban’s. It was the busy Xmas/New Years period when I first went in, plus I moved cities but my new glasses have arrived to me in Auckland and are just perfect. I’m so impressed. Ngā mihi nui team!

I was blown away with the new look store. The staff were genuine and friendly. I had the unfortunate need to use the other leading optician in Rotorua recently. I felt like a number, they constantly tried to sell me new frames, even though I made it clear I would not be purchasing any, I felt bullied and pushed around. I only went in to check a problem I was having with one eye. The staff there have a superior jumped up attitude. I ask everyone try OPSM and have a friendly old fashioned experience where you feel like they care about you not your wallet.

It’s gonna be a long review but please read it to the last Yesterday i have called OPSM Rotorua, from Auckland and explained them my situation that how i am a frontline officer and i need to get my contact lens test done. Due to alert level 3 no optometrist were available in auckland therefore on the advice of ministry of health i was looking options outside Auckland. Luckily i got in touch with Tina store manager of OPSM Rotorua , she listened to my situation and provided me with the booking in next three hours. Not only this she also provided me all the paper work required and on reaching to the store at OPSM Rotorua she showed such an amazing customer service from receiving me from entrance door to finalise my new contact lenses. She has maintained all the protocols and guidelines set by government for covid 19 during my eye exam which was harder part. Her optometrist Astha Rai was such a beautiful soul and so humble that they both didn’t let me feel once that i am not an OPSM customer and visited them first time , actually i felt like i am consulting with them from ages and they are my family doctors. A big thanks to Astha Rai who attended me on such a short notice. I have been in Nz for almost 7 years and i was customer of specsavers for years but they have never provided a good service. But i would like to mention Tina as one of the best store manger i have ever met who was so kind , generous and thoughtful when it comes to serve customer. And Astha Rai one of the best optometrist in whole Nz so humble, kind and has such a deep sense of understanding for her patients. I would recommend this place 200 times to everyone to visit and especially to these two beautiful people optometrist Astha Rai and Store manager Christine.

So this review is a couple of years in the making as I’m now needing new glasses but anxious about getting some. My experience here was incredibly uncomfortable. Getting the prescription was awesome however when it came time to picking frames, it all went downhill. The girl “helping” me mentioned my “big face” or “wide face” about 15 times, whenever I pointed to frames I was interested in she would state that they wouldn’t fit my “big face”. Now, I’m a plus sized girl but I’ve never had anyone comment on the size of my head and face and have had many pairs of glasses prior to this experience. In the end, due to being so uncomfortable and embarrassed, I picked out a pair of ill-fitting (too big) frames from the men’s section that don’t stay up properly. Once I work up the courage to go back and get the new glasses I need, hopefully the staff member has learned some tact or sensitivity!

Had an appointment with Muthana Noori. He was very professional and answered all of my questions thoughtfully. I very much appreciated his recommendation that I didn't need glasses currently, as I'm sure other optometrists would have just thought about making a sale. I'll definitely be back next time. They seem trustworthy and as such I'm heeding the advice they gave me.

How fabulous is this new store ! I walked in and thought I was in Milan ! Staff as helpful as ever. My optometrist was so helpful and explained everything thoroughly throughout my appointment. I cant recommend this team highly enough - Well done Team !

Best change ever moving to OPSM. Quality of service and expertise along with efficient friendly Staff just works. It is a great shame this shop has been taken over by OPSM. It used to be Visique and I used to get my glasses here for years. I still do as there is no choice. Staff is the same, competent and kind people, but even them get obviously frustrated by the relatively poor choice of frames. Ordering my glasses today, I had to pay about twice as much as I used to. Not very happy...

Great ambience in the revamped store. Professional customer service. Helpful & didn't rush me when choosing my new specs.
