My experience with the Eye Centre was very pleasant. All of the staff was very hospitable and helpful, I always appreciated that they took the time to explain every step of the process to me, and I was much more calm and comfortable on the day of the surgery than I was ever expecting to be, and a lot of that was because of how well I was being treated. 10/10, would recommend.

I can't recommend Wellington Eye Centre enough. I was apprehensive at first, being worried that it may worsen my eyesight. The entire process was seamless. Recovery was faster and better than I could have imagined or expected. My vision was sharp the next morning. I did have night-time light halos/hotspots over bright lights, but I was glad to see that actually went away over the course of a few weeks. (I had SMILE (the latest generation of tech) surgery done a couple of months ago. ) Finally, I only needed moisturizing eye drops for the first month, and then didn't even need them after that. The staff couldn't have been better, extremely patient at every step of the way, and I never felt pressured or mislead at any point. Thank you!

I got my eyes corrected with SMILE here by Dr Logan and the team. Dr Logan is a kind and compassionate man and you can tell he cares about his patients and his work. Shannon looked after me for all the post operative check ups. She is also very kind and positive. Love how she calls the patient seat 'The Throne'. The receptionists/nurse, are amazing. The nurse was there for the entire operation providing support while Dr Logan worked his magic. Overall the experience has been amazing. I now have perfect vision and couldn't be happier with the result. I'm so glad I chose Wellington Eye Centre. I had SMILE surgery with Dr. Logan. I found the experience to be excellent - I appreciate how lovely and fun the staff were, they seem genuinely happy. That's always a good sign. Dr Logan clearly cares about his patients too - he's meticulous, the clinic is generous with its time and what it'll cover for you (including a hotel stay if you're from out of town as well as an optometrist visit). It's heartening that patients and outcomes are the focus of this clinic, not getting you in and out to keep costs down. I wish that was more common, so hats off to you all and thank you for making the experience so positive. Cheers for the podcast recommendation David, it worked a treat ;)

in March 2020, I had LASIK eye surgery done by Dr Andrew Logan. The goal was to do away with my need for reading glasses. It's now 7 monts later I have had my final post recovery check and I'm pleased to say that the goal has been achieved. Dr Logan and the team have been fantastic. Right from the first assessment in Nelson where I was deemed possible 'higher risk', I have always felt Dr Logan went about the process with my very best interests as priority. The discussions were always frank and very empowering enabling me to progress along the path to surgery. The surgery was absolutely fantastic, and I always felt total trust in Dr Logan. The post operation experience has been exactly as was explained to me before surgery, and as such my expectations have been 100% satisfied. Andrew, Michelle and the team are fantastic, I highly recommend going to Wellington Eye Centre if you are considering laser eye surgery. I had my surgery in October 2017 and have been so happy with how things went. Everything was explained really well , the surgery itself was surprisingly quick and the follow-up care was outstanding. I always knew I could call with any questions, and I had regular appointments in the months after surgery where I was reassured that everything was going well. My vision is now even better than I had hoped it would be!

Had SMILE surgery by Dr Logan in May last year. The whole experience was excellent - he and his great team of admin staff, optometrists and nurses all help to make you feel comfortable and informed. I was able to do my pre-assessment and post-op checks in Napier which was super conveient, as was having the accommodation on the night of surgery included in the cost. In terms of the surgery itself it was a little bit scary but the team were great and very reassuring. I had very minor discomfort that night but from the next day onwards I've had perfect vision and no issues at all.

Getting SMILE laser eye surgery was probably one of the best and most exciting life changes I've ever made. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner...! I love having perfect vision, free of the hassle and expense of contacts or glasses. Now I can jump into the sea, run in the rain (!) and sleep out under the stars, unencumbered. To anyone even vaguely thinking of getting laser surgery: do it. You won't regret it. The service I got from Wellington Eye Centre was impeccable from start to finish. Everyone was so friendly, helpful, informative and reassuring. I felt in very safe hands the whole time. The surgery itself was quicker than I'd expected. I'll be honest - it's a bizarre experience! Not painful, just briefly uncomfortable and odd. But again, I felt safe and the results have been amazing. The aftercare I received in the year following the surgery was thorough and supportive and quickly became like visiting old friends...! I had a few nervous moments in the first couple of months where my eye irritation flared up a little, but the experts were always on hand to give advice and I could schedule an extra appointment whenever I wanted. The eye irritation, by the way, was normal and to be expected. With time and the helpful suggestions and ministrations of Michelle and Dr Logan the irritation reduced and disappeared. Believe me, it's worth putting up with a little dry-eye for results like I've got!

The Wellington Eye centre did a fantastic job. I got a better than expected result and a year on I could not be happier. BUT it was the staff who put me at ease from the first consultation, throughout the procedure itself (the thought of which scared me, was much easier to handle than I thought) and the follow up, they have been kind and professional, walked me through everything, talked to me and made me feel comfortable. they have made the whole experience so easy and personal. It is one year on and I have better than 20/20 vision. It is so great for playing sport not having to wear glasses. If you can have laser surgery I would 100% recommend the Wellington Eye Centre. Wellington Eye Centre were superb. The entire team were caring, professional and very client focussed. I felt very well informed before surgery and on the day iself, everyone was fantastic, particularly Josie who helped me through some last minute nerves. Andrew calmly conducted the SMILE surgery and it was quick and painless. I did need a few extra follow up visits due to a condition I already had prior to surgery (dry eyes). These extra visits were provided as part of the package and Michelle was awesome, making it her personal mission to sort the issue. Through her patience and persistance, a year on and my eyes are now better than 20/20 and the dry eye has completely disappeared. From the pre-surgery suitability assessment, the surgery itself, to post-surgery follow-up and care, the whole service was exactly what I wanted. I had some minor issues following surgery and the the Centre provided free and very thorough follow-up care for as long as it took to sort the issue out. Had lazer eye surgery (Smile) about a year ago, wish I would have had it done sooner, Would recommend it to anyone its worth the investment in yourself. Pain free, the actual surgery lasts about 5 mins max. The comforting thing for me was the after care from Wellington Eye Clinic which as first class. Thanks, Paul.

In my mid 30's I had lasik surgery on both eyes around 2010 - performed by Dr Logan in Wellington. Owing to itchy and scratchy eyes, I visited the Optometrist at Specsavers on Cuba St in Sep 2019 for an eye exam. The symptoms were due to airborne allergens however the eye exam also revealed that I still had 6/6 or 20/20 eye sight. The optometrist made the comment that the surgery must have been extremely well done.

I had such a great experience with Wgtn Eye Centre. I had really bad vision (about -7 in my right eye and -6 in my left) and the amazing people at Wgtn Eye Centre were able to correct this with the 'SMILE' laser procedure, and I couldn't recommend the process highly enough. My experience with Wellington Eye Centre has been nothing short of amazing. From start to finish was absolutely textbook. Dr. Logan is a miracle-worker and the other staff are equally phenomenal. I have the stress capacity of a gerbil (and anxiety to boot), and not once did I ever feel rushed, pressured, or made to feel annoying with my million questions before and after the surgery (special shout-out to Shannon). I would do the surgery again in a heart-beat. I've been a glasses-wearer for almost 20 years, and I can't describe how unreal it is to wake up and be able to see straight away, to open my eyes under water in the ocean, to read a book while lying down sideways without glasses sticking into the side of my head! I'm 3 months post SMILE surgery and it has not only enhanced my vision, but my life! Thank you, thank you, thank you Wellington Eye Centre!
