A fabulous place for a lookout.
Lots of space and trees and a great area for sports. Be nice to picnic here on a day like this

What a lovely domain this is...parking/camping under mature shadey trees on grassed level ground. $7.50 pp overnight for unpowered site. Powered sites also available. Modern children's playground & picnic/ BBQ area's. Dog friendly. Excellent abolution block which was very clean. Hot showers $2 coin required. Instant hotwater available in kitchenette. Walk/bike trails nearby leading to the mighty Manawatu River & Gorge. Ashurst Inn within walking distance served delicous food with a great friendly old style pub atmosphere. Great quiet location.

One of my favourite walking spots! The domain has several different walking paths to go on along the canine track. You can take one that goes all the way down to the river and through native Bush, or one that does a full circuit. Suitable for cycling and walking with dogs.

Great safe place to stay. There was a lot of motorhomes which proves it popularity. $10pp per night to plug in or $7.50 if you don't.Very clean toilets with $2 showers. Many walkways to investigate and close enough to walk into the village for a meal.

Gave it a 5 as in summer it is brilliant. Unfortunately at this time of the year it is very wet and our front wheel drive would have got stuck. This is not the camps fault. We parked outside in the carpark after we could not find a dry patch and as we arrived late and were too tired to move on. We paid camp fees though. Beautiful treescaped camp with lovely vacilities
