Love this cinema but it loses a star because I think it's time to upgrade the seat comfort, not much legroom and feels cramped. Nice ambience in the bar area though.

This movie theatre is great. Wonderful views of the water whilst waiting for the movie, friendly and helpful staff, clean especially the toilets spacious theatres, and a lift for those who need it.

This is a fantastic, perfectly sized, cinema on the front of Mission bay. There are 4 screens that hold about 40 to 50 people each. The seats are big and comfortable with plenty of leg room. Booster seats are available for small kids, check the front underneath the screen. This is a child friendly complex. There is a well stocked sweet, drinks, and popcorn selection at the front desk, along with an adult selection of beers & wines. This really is a great cinema, which is well priced for NZ. Top tip here, join Hoyts rewards and get discounts off selected films and times. Get in early and you're pretty much guaranteed a cinema (almost) to yourself.

First time goer and I enjoyed it. Customer service is great. Nice place for a date movie.

Really nice movie venue, sea views, lots of comfy seating, snacks, ice creams, wine, beer and more. Handy restaurants and bars downstairs too.

Small but excellent cinema. For years they let me leave my bike in the closet while I watched movies. Their loyalty system really works and I have watched a number of movies for free. They tend to bring lots of Brit movies. In general they favour good quality critic-sanctioned releases. Way to go!

Great customer service every time. Whether it be over the phone or face to face. Staff are more than willing to answer queries. Situated through a narrow passageway to the right, the stairs or lift will take you to the Cinema on the top floor. Immaculate presentation of reception, theatre and bathroom alike. Featuring two theatre rooms, perfect for a girls night out or couples downtime however parents with wee children will also enjoy the relaxed atmosphere it offers. From coffee to hot popcorn, snacks or a drink (alcoholic and non) with a sit down meal. This cinema has it all minus the extra long queues. Check viewing times online. Tickets are reasonably priced. Sunday to Tuesdays tickets are 9.90each. Enjoy your movie!

A great hidden complex in plain site in Mission bay. Friendly staff, nicely appointed and hardly ever too crowded. A nice cinema experience if you have kids too, very relaxed

Great spot to watch a movie especially if you're not fond of big crowds or crowded cinemas. The location is great for dates as there are great restaurants nearby and also the beach which is across the road. Staff are friendly and welcoming. The bathrooms are old school but clean. It's a great place to visit although I suggest taking your own snacks if you don't want to spend too much on snacks, as we all know movie snack prices are not cheap.

Quaint little theatre complex. Never too busy. We love to go there because it's close and even though the theatres are smaller than e.g. Sylvia Park you never feel enclosed and encroached on. Staff are friendly and the cinemas and toilets are always neat and tidy. Oh, and the foyer is spacious with good seating, views and games to play.

This place makes me feel very warm and cozy unlike other cinema theatres probably because it’s small and that’s what makes this place special! The screens are good with good seating arrangements. Great spot near the beach, serves the purpose thoroughly!

Cool little cinema. Parking is not the easiest as upstairs from cafes/restaurants but I would still come here anyway. Clean bar/ticket area, nice toilets. Cinemas are a nice size, not too small or big. Enough leg room in cinema but not enough if ppl are wanting to get past you. Cute foyer area if you waiting arnd for movie theater. Definitely recommend this theater if not wanting the big crowds.

My child lost his phone in the cinema, we left a message there. A couple of weeks later, a staff member contacted us and told us that they had found the phone and we went there and get it without any trouble. What a nice experience, amazing staff member, great place to go there for the movies. Will come back for sure.

This is an awesome little theatre in Mission Bay. The price really can't be beat and the theatre I was in was nice and small - so not loads of crowds making noise during the movie. Love the location and the fact that it's playing current movies. Will definitely be back!

Great . Enjoyed the movies

Haven't been in years. Had a voucher to use. Staff very good and helpful. They gave a lift which was helpful as I had crutches and saved me using the stairs.

Watched the lion king with some friends to see what the fuss was about the movie. it was great, wasn't as busy as other theatres have been when I've gone , so it was alot nicer to watch a movie and not have over 50 talking kids and kids running up and down the isle every 5 mins.. so it was a nice viewing experience.

Has that historical feel to it. Could do with some upgrades. it reminds me of cinema when I was a kid. Great location but parking can be tricky.

Very cosy and intimate. Great place to take your partner as it offers a fine food/alcoholic selection. And if that wasn't enough there are more then enough bars and eatery's up and down the main road where you can endulge yourself while waiting for your session time. 10/10!

In the heart of Mission bay tucked In between the restaurants .It might be a mission on weekends to find parking close by .No recliner seats . I did have to close the other cinema doors as they were all left open when our movie started which was a bit of a disturbance listening to other noises . Some old people were not sure where their cinema was, so maybe good idea to show people where to go so not to search for the cinemas or toilets .There are stairs so for those who can't climb stairs I doubt there is any other way to get to the top floor .

Handy little cinema for Mission bay down to Glendowie area. Friendly staff, always parking at the rear car park and always well maintained and presented with the added bonus of a beach walk to stretch your legs after a long movie.

If your looking for the not so over crowded and just want to watch a movie with your loved one or simply to be by youself.. to relax and not be presurred by the massive crowd then this is the place to be. They have good, clean and comfortable seats and it feels like your watching from a private function movie.

Great value especially if you are a Hoyts member. Close to home. Licensed. Pleasant staff. Hopefully this cinema will not be a casualty of development.

This is my local theater, I am guttered that the "saver" price has gone from $10.90 to $12.50. In the Albany/ Westgate area movies are $10 and I think Berkeley should be following suit. There are usally not many people in the theaters which is great. Cleanliness is much better than other theaters in Auckland. They use to play around 20 minutes or more of advertising which was ridiculous and quite frankly rude as it would mainly include TV ads rather than movie previews however in my recent visits this has seamed to improved some what.

Has a local feel to it and, if you go Sunday through Wednesday it's only $10.90 per ticket. Plus they serve drinks and coffee at sensible prices in a very nice bar overlooking the beach.

Went on a sunday to see the latest Fantastic four movie and had a great experience. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. No problems there. Service was quick and efficient. The cheap tickets-only $9.90 from Sunday to Wednesday is fantastic deal. Love the new refurbishment as well. Phone booking system I didnt bother with as much quicker and easier to book online at the hoyts website. Would definitely come back to see another movie and would suggest this as an excellent cinema to go to. Love the place!

One of our go-to cinemas because of its location! However an experience today made me like this branch even more. We bought tickets to a movie in advanced but something came up last minute so it was looking like we wouldn’t be able to make our original time. I called and asked if there was any chance I could change our tickets to the session after our original session. Emily was super helpful and said yes and helped with the whole process. I really appreciated it especially knowing that a similar situation happens to a friend and the branch (not mission bay) she bought the tickets from would not even hear her out. Thanks Mission Bay team! Rescued our night out.

Great no frills theatre - small screens but I love the atmosphere

Tickets are reasonably priced at $12-$17 but snacks are very expensive a small popcorn and drink will most likely cost more than your ticket. if you plan on going here bring your own snacks

The cinema is nice & warm, perfect to get away from the chilly beach wind. And their cheap ticket prices on certain days makes it easy for us to watch a movie soon after work.

Clean and cosy movie theatre! Lovely staff. Just allow yourself time to find a parking space in either the carpark over the road or along Tamaki Drive (which can be busy).

Really nice! Only thing I would mark down on is they did not shut the door and it got noisey when a movie finished in the other theatre. Easy fix someone got up to close the door.

This place is awesome, clean & tidy and great location to either have food and drinks before or after your movie. Definitely my preference for movie going. Top marks guys 👌👌👌👌👌

Nice little Movie theater with a very Quaint feel to it, so if you're looking for a place to go see a movie but not keen on the Hustle and Bustle of the bigger places like Sylvia park then I suggest going here.

It's a very popular beach. Everyone go there on weekends and public holidays. The best Fish n Chips shop, homemade icecream shop, restaurants and bars where you enjoy the meal and relax looking across Rangitoto Island, Devonport, watch container lines and Cruise ships going to our main Auckland Ports.

This is my local cinema - we went there quite often. It used to be 10 bucks for a flick for Sun to Wed. Now it's $15. Tuesday is still $10. You can buy wine and beer.

I host Auckland Sci Fi movie events here, they have been extremely good to our group. Only complaint is the place is a little small.

Much larger than I'd thought, with 4 cinemas, Berkeley Mission bay is a great seaside cinema. I never knew I'd be able to catch a film after or before a swim.

The fact that Sunday to Wednesday has cheap tickets is always a bonus. Screens aren't huge, but you get what you pay for, plus the seats are quite comfortable

They have great seating and really good service but the food is average, the ice cream was pretty good but that's it really.

Close to perfect. The systems for booking are good and sight lines are good, even for youngsters who know to get free booster seats.
