S.This is one of my favourite cinemas to go to. The place is always clean and the floors are not sticky. They have a bar where you can also get decent food. It's nice and relaxed.

I.Nice cinema, not too crowded and seating is quite nice, you don't get people blocking your view with their heads because the screen is slightly higher than the seats, so you're looking slightly upwards at the screen.
N.This place is great, we almost always go here because it's not too busy, so you get tickets last minute. It's not a mad rush, everything is calm, the place is actually quite nice. The seats are comfy, although the screens are a bit smaller.

S.Beautiful setting, comfortable seating. Nice food but not spectacular. One issue is the sound proofing, you hear other movies whole seeing the one you paid to watch.

P.It's nice made and near to my place. But they don't have good collection of movies and teenagers are running around in the movie hall during screening which disturbs everybody but staff doesn't care at all.

Q.Spectacular movie! I went to see JOKER. I thought it was brilliant.. I understand.. my movie choice had nothing to do with the theater. The theater was wonderful too. Staff: helpful, friendly, smiley. Atmosphere: exciting, positive, happy. Toilets: classy, clean, great facilities. Definitely returning.

O.They have great screens with good seats. What I don’t like about the theatre is that all the seats have little circle glowing all time (seat numbers). It is annoying especially when most of the seats are empty.

S.It's not bad for Event Cinemas. It's located conveniently, and prices for films and food are reasonable. Staff are not always film experts, so they don't always have answers to movie questions, but at least Event still has staff, unlike the dethroned HOYTS Cinemas.

B.Nice comfy chairs. Good service and clean presentation. Only negative is that sometimes you can hear other movies sound leak into your theatre which can be distracting when watching a movie especially during quieter scenes. Otherwise great place and always go here for my movies.

L.Had a fantastic time. The cinemas are always clean and everything is wiped down before each movie screening as well as my favourite... Fresh popcorn. One of the few cinemas in town that have a bar as stylish as the one at newmarket, depending on times the line can be very long but the overall ambient 1960's vibe makes it a pleasure to even wait and admire. Great service. Toilets at the back. Elevator and escalator available.

M.Nice venue, building etc. but the seats weren't tiered vertically - instead the screen was mounted high, so you have to tilt your head back regardless of how far back you're sitting (cinema 7). Sound was good across all frequencies although it seemed to lack spatial depth. Roomy and comfy leather seats, plenty of legroom. Fine for shorter movies i think.

S.Lovely cinema that was nicely refurbished. Pitty the staff aren't the best and the cinema rooms aren't very well cleaned! We found popcorn from the previous session all over the seats and floor soon as we were seated. Pretty half ass job if you ask me. The person collecting the tickets also wasn't very friendly. A simple greeting such as "hello, how are you" would be simple courtesy. People pay money for an experience and it's gonna be memorable - whether it be good or bad.
N.The screens aren't the biggest and it's seen better days but it's never crowded and you can chill out and watch a movie with a glass of wine. A great option compared to the zoo-like Queen St location.

Lovely old building and foyer with wheelchair accessible entrance and lift to the main foyer where snacks and tickets can be purchased.

Once inside the screens are roomie and all seats are big and comfortable.
Staff have always been very helpful.

R.We usually choose Event Cinemas on Broadway. There are rarely queues. The theatres are clean. The staff is friendly. Plus, there is a really cute cafe/restaurant attached to the cinema. I loving having a pre-movie affogato. And, we just found out that you can have discounted parking - they'll validate your parking for you when you leave.

S.My husband and I converted from hoyts to event cinemas Broadway because the cinematic experience is similar but the food is a lot cheaper and there are often specials on tickets. I think event cinemas gets a bad rap but this particular cinema has been upgraded and ticks all the boxes for us.

G.My experience here was OK. I preordered food and drinks online and I had to prove that the momey was transferred, I had to show them my bank statement, the booking reference wasn't enough. The popcorn was also stale. I also didn't really like the layout of the seating arrangement as almost all of the seats are level, so you're mainly just looking at half a chair, and half the screen, apart from the back two or three.

G.An extremely spacious lobby was the first thing I noticed, followed shortly by the classic cinema decor from carpet to signage ... Idk if this was a recent thing or if it's been like this for decades, maybe even both. There's a completely separate bar room from the main snacks and ticket counter, and then the bathrooms look somewhat new yet I think part of the men's was under repair plus was very dimly lit. As for the theatre, it had what I believe were decent leather seats from memory, but not stadium seating (wasn't an issue when there was nobody at our screening).

P.An easy and comfy cinema
S.It has old-school cinema carpet.
P.The cinema has a good selection of popular movies, with staff that are well trained and friendly. The art deco interiors for the cinema complex are really cool as well, and the foyer diner is fantastic for grabbing a drink or a casual meal. Seats inside the cinema are some of the best in Auckland, especially as they are in the general rooms, not just the luxury ones (as in other cinemas).
The only downside to visiting Event Cinemas on Broadway is parking - don't bother with on-street parking or any of the small private providers about the place. I recommend just using the Broadway carparking building immediately next door.

K.One of the best and favourites cinema in town, but what a shame one of their supervisor ( i do believe her name is “Miriam”) have no attitude and customer service at all..
It was start when i using my event discount card that i’ve been use it many times, i know how the right price they suppose be charge me but Miriam said the rest of tickets would be get charge as a normal price.
And i asked her “how is it possible?”, do u know what she said to me??
“I am the supervisor here” instead of the explanation “how is it possible?”
That’s the answer that you dont want to hear from someone like her..she needs learn more how to serve people and being a leader as a supervisor.

The chairs were soft, so it was nice, but there were no stairs for each seat, so I couldn't see the difference between the front and back seats. Especially, even though I was sitting in the middle, my neck hurt ㅠㅠ It feels like I was sitting in front of me... You can see the legs without the front seats ㅋㅋㅋ If you go to this place, I recommend the last seat... I'm curious about other cinemas

신과함께2 보러갔는데 영화관이 너무충격적이네요. 스낵바는 친절하고 좋았는데 스크린이랑 의자가 너무 불편하게 위치해 있습니다. 의자는 푹신하니 좋았지만 좌석별로 계단이없어 맨앞자리와 맨뒤의 차이를 볼수가없었습니다. 특히 중간에 앉았는데도 목이 너무아팠습니다ㅠㅠ맨앞에앉아서 본것만같은느낌...ㅎ그래도 좌석간 사이는 넓어서 그건 좋았습니다. 다리꽈도 앞좌석 안치고 볼수있습니다ㅋㅋㅋ이곳으로 보러가신다면 맨뒷자리를 추천드립니다...다른영화관은 어떨지 궁금하네요
