The fish & chips were awesome but more do the fish. They were big & very fresh, thick fillets. Absolutely delicious. I highly reccomend everyone tries this place.

Disappointed drove all the way out to Kawakawa Bay to have lunch, of the famous fish n chips only to discover ONLY open for takeaways Thursday to Sunday. Not on the website as being closed for takeaways Mon to Wed. During Covid level 3 not many places to go and boredom setting in.

Fantastic place to stop for fish n chips and icecream. Staff friendly, fish n chips delicious with a seasoned coating. We had the $20 pack for 4 adults (value for money) and that was just enough to fill our stomachs as we had one fish and sausage each and a handful of chips. If you are hungry you may want to order extra chips.

Popular store well stocked and pretty good service. Unfortunately our fish and chips weren't as nice as what other reviewers thought... Batter was not too thick but it was rather oily and fish was was not that fresh, kumera chips were ok. However it was nice the order of 2 pieces of tarakihi and kumera chips came with a tub of tartare sauce at no extra cost.

Amazing ice creams, great selection of flavours to choose from. Pricing $2.00 per scoop and the scoops very generous. Friendly, cheerful staff. Nice place to stop enroute to beach or for a welcome break from traveling. Plenty of seating outside and also a great view of Kawakawa Bay, the Gulf and islands.

Really yummy fish and chips were not the beat and it’s a crowded as place! And with the fish and chips combo you can only have 2 types of drinks (which was coke and Mountain Dew). Would’ve loved to have the option for some water. There was also two bins outside that were overflowing. Pretty gross. Other than that - it’s a beautiful little spot where this diary is. Really nice.
