The fish & chips were awesome but more do the fish. They were big & very fresh, thick fillets. Absolutely delicious. I highly reccomend everyone tries this place.

Love this shop, same family owned business for a long while now and it's good for stop offs for fish n chips and ice cream on motorcycle rides

Bikes parked on the beach right across from the store. Worth riding. The roads around here are amazing and so was the food and Ice Cream

It's pretty good as it's the only dairy in the area. Prices aren't too bad. Plus side it serves as a takeaways as well which is always a bonus.

Kawakawa Bay is clean and quiet. A true gem.

Disappointed drove all the way out to Kawakawa Bay to have lunch, of the famous fish n chips only to discover ONLY open for takeaways Thursday to Sunday. Not on the website as being closed for takeaways Mon to Wed. During Covid level 3 not many places to go and boredom setting in.

Ok selection of stuff you might need, a bit cramped inside, and smells of the fryers, which I'm sure is fine if that's what you're there for.

Fantastic place to stop for fish n chips and icecream. Staff friendly, fish n chips delicious with a seasoned coating. We had the $20 pack for 4 adults (value for money) and that was just enough to fill our stomachs as we had one fish and sausage each and a handful of chips. If you are hungry you may want to order extra chips.

Super busy ! So be prepared to wait awhile for your order.

Quality fish and chips, batter was a smooth and light type, very crisp and less oily, fantastic! Best pineapple fritters I've ever eaten with a dusting of cinnamon. Large and tasty old skool burgers. Well worth the drive and lovely beach nearby.

Best fish n chips ever. 👍 Always a que, which is testament to the quality of their food. We happily wait our turn, then across to the beach to devour. Heaven 😋

Popular store well stocked and pretty good service. Unfortunately our fish and chips weren't as nice as what other reviewers thought... Batter was not too thick but it was rather oily and fish was was not that fresh, kumera chips were ok. However it was nice the order of 2 pieces of tarakihi and kumera chips came with a tub of tartare sauce at no extra cost.

Amazing ice creams, great selection of flavours to choose from. Pricing $2.00 per scoop and the scoops very generous. Friendly, cheerful staff. Nice place to stop enroute to beach or for a welcome break from traveling. Plenty of seating outside and also a great view of Kawakawa Bay, the Gulf and islands.

Really yummy fish and chips were not the beat and it’s a crowded as place! And with the fish and chips combo you can only have 2 types of drinks (which was coke and Mountain Dew). Would’ve loved to have the option for some water. There was also two bins outside that were overflowing. Pretty gross. Other than that - it’s a beautiful little spot where this diary is. Really nice.

The takeaway here are delicious. The burger was fresh and juicy, just like a homemade one. The chips were perfect and the mussels full of flavour and a decent size. Well worth it.

The fish and fries are excellent, light batter on big pieces of fresh snapper or your choice of fresh fish and great fries, topped off with great range of ice cream selection on cone ( big scoops). Mmmm

Ordered cheese burger and Bacon burger. These two burgers were so good. Best take away burgers we've had. Will be back for sure. And their pineapple fritter yummy too

If you wanna get away from the busy city go for a drive to Kawakawa with the family buy fish n chips at the dairy and enjoy the rural scenery.

Beautiful location opposite the beach. Staff were friendly and fish & chips was great. Dairy is well stocked for its size and items reasonably priced.

Best fish on the coast. Neat people running the store. They have everything you need. They kept our whole community fed during lockdown.

Popped in on the way back from Pauanui to get an ice cream, and was pleasantly surprised to see an AWESOME Tip Top selection, and really nice scoops sizes, a great old fashion ice cream.
