What a great colour and cut. Literally perfection. I have the thickest hair so Chetan spent a long time colouring my hair. He is top notch, one of the best I've ever had. I booked my next appointment before even leaving the salon. I had my hair coloured 3 weeks ago and the colour has held really well so I know that good quality products are used. He also explained to me about certain aspects to do with the colouring process advising me on best products. I have been having my hair coloured for over twenty years, this guy was reducating me, so good. The cut was exactly what I asked for too, it's so refreshing when a professional hairdresser understands what I want and works with me to make it possible.

I always recommend Laboratorie to any friends and family with curls (lovely people work here with so much expertise- the whole experience is great) . Thank you Savannah for the amazing job you did on my thick and curly/wavy hair. You somehow managed to make my usually high maintenance hair low maintenance which is quite a feat to pull off.

Cut, colour, toner all done well. Customer service was good, friendly and relaxed environment. Colour was highlights, lowlights, root colour and toner which corrected the orangey colour I had from the last salon I visited. Haircut was long, layered, cut around face- really happy with the cut. I have been going to Laboratorie for over a year now after a serious hair colour mishap with another business. They continue to astound me with the incredible job of colour, cutting and styling that they do and they are always friendly and fast. I would recommend their services in a heart beat!

What to say when it comes to CHETAN and his magic hands. I am always stunned with what he brings on every time. From a complete transformation to just the tidy ups, he is definitely the one you can trust with your eyes closed. I’ll let in a little secret that I cheated once and was talked into going somewhere else and that was the worst decision of my life and that I would never ever do again. So anyone who is struggling with bad hair days then go see this magic man. I can say it with all my heart that you will not be disappointed plus his team is awesome too. So go go go….theirs better things to worry about I life but at least bad hair day one can be sorted. Lots of love to Chetan and his team.

Amazing service and staff. Whenever I get my hair done at Laboratorie, they always make me feel special and do a superb job. I am confident in their skills and that my curly hair will be cut and coloured exactly how I want. They suggest appropriate products so that my hair will be healthy until I visit again. Chetan knows exactly what he's doing. I went in with a pretty bland hairstyle of long, slightly layered hair, and he turned it into a gorgeous, textured, shaped style without losing barely any length. He definitely knew what was goin to suit me better than I knew myself. 100% recommended.

I had my keratine treatment done at the Laboratory! The results are absolutely amazing, highly recommend. I do have black African curls and have not managed in 6 years living in NZ to find a good hairdresser capable of dealing with my type of hair. The team at the Laboratory exceeded my expectations. The experience was better than I imagined. I was skeptical at first but I think Alicia did a great job Polite and attentive and will play close attention to your details. After the treatment in the color, my hair does feel smooth and shiny. I am happy with everything however the only thing that I am a little upset about is that I wanted a balayage look (shared a pic of mine from the earlier balayage as well) however my current color look more like full head streaks and not balayage which is my only concern. I may book in another appointment to get my toner done :)

Today was my first visit at Laboratoire, and i can say I am very satisfied. This salon was recommended to me by a customer of mine, since I wanted to cut my hair short for quite a long time and didn’t know any good hairdresser. Beatrice did my haircut, she went ABOVE and BEYOND, to make sure I was happy with the cut, and even if ended up being a long session, because i wanted some change made, she has been very professional and made sure that I was getting out of the salon being a happy customer(and sure thing I will be back). The team is young but confident. They work directly with the Owner, that checks their work without interfering, just being supportive if the girls are in need if help. letting someone cut your hair short is an act of trust, if the hairdresser does a bad cut there is not going back. I am happy with my haircut today.

I decided to try Laboratorie Hair after reading several good reviews. What I can say is, it was an amazing experience. I met Chetan, he was relaxed and wonderful. He knew what was wrong with my hair and he gave me a superb hair cut. I loved the way he styled my hair too. Can’t wait to go back and get those curls again.☺️☺️☺️☺️

I booked an appointment for a haircut, both online and by phone and had to follow up a couple of days later as I had not heard back from the salon to confirm my booking until the day before the preferred appointment time. Alicia was polite and friendly. However, she clearly lacked the experience to be able to follow through with my exact requirements for the way I wanted my hair to look at the end of the 'experience'. I specified in detail when booking online, then again at the salon and I even showed Alicia a photo of what I wanted my hair to look like. My hair cut was overpriced given that Alicia was a junior who had to be prompted frequently. This haircut should have been done by a senior staff member to justify the $110 I paid. I would describe this salon as 'clinical' in terms of atmosphere and setting. Based on my experience today, I'd have to say, it's not the "best salon in town" as claimed in its advertising slogan and I wouldn't go back to Laboratorie Kingsland.

After going to so many hairdressers, I've finally found the one! Chetan cut my thick, curly, wild hair to perfection. He met all my expectations and it's pretty hard I would say! Also the salon is impeccable, the team is super friendly and pay so much attention to hygiene due to Covid-19, disinfecting everything, chairs, etc. in front of you for your safety, really appreciated it. Once again Beatrice Wilkinson did my colour and am so pleased with the result! After going up to a bolder blonde, she persuaded me to try a hint of pink in the toner and it looks smashing. I always walk out of that place feeling like a new woman! I've been coming to see the team at Laboratorie for nearly 3 years and have had a great experience every time. Cant recommend Chetan and the girls enough if you care about your hair and want to boost your confidence.

I started coming to Laboratorie about a year ago after going to other salons that were almost twice the price for terrible service and an average haircut. Taylor does an exceptional job on my thick, wavy hair and it always looks so fantastic. I don’t like to overstyle my hair or use much product and since Taylor has been cutting it I barely have to! It always falls so nicely after a cut and my curls actually fall in to place. I’ve recommended Taylor to a few friends and they have become repeat customers too!

Laboratorie is a cute and lovely salon! I would highly recommend! Taylor was amazing! She did a great job with my hair! And always made sure I was happy! Very accommodating! Their service was A+++! I’m so happy, that I have now found my own hairdresser that I will always come back to! 😊

Got my hair cut by Taylor today and couldn't be happier! She is super lovely and very talented, she made me feel comfortable and cut my hair beautifully. great value for money too, preferred it to my previous haircut that was nearly twice the price. recommending her already!

I'm not convinced that Savannah isn't an actual sorceress for how amazing she made my hair look, despite it being so neglected before going in. Somehow a root touch-up with a bit of toner has completely changed how I look, and it's purely down to the skill of the salon. Thank you x10000, and see ya soon!

I have been going to Taylor for about a year now for my cut and colour after being referred by a friend and I and cannot recommend her highly enough! She takes the time to really listen to what you want and is an absolute whizz with colour. My hair is the best its been in years! I have been seeing Chetan, the owner of Laboratorie since I was 21, and I’m now 34. When you find someone that nails your cut every time, you hold onto that person for as long as you can! Whenever I get my cut from Chetan people tend to comment how well cut, constructed mand styled it is and I always come away stoked with it. Over the years we’ve tried many different styles and I’ve enjoyed working with Chetan on new looks - even did the Bieber blonde in my late twenties! Chetan is the best hairdresser in my books, and over the years his client base has grown exponentially as our circle of friends have all been introduced to Chetan and love what he does. He’s professional, friendly, remembers details about your life and conversations and runs a cool team of peeps at Laboratorie. 10/10.

I wanted a different look for my birthday and I found this amazing place. People (Taylor and Beatrice) are so friendly and very professional. I had a long bob almost 2 months ago but when they did it, it actually looked like long bob- very precise and beautiful. The story doesn’t end here- I wanted to color my hairs and I was not sure which color would suit me the best and they helped me to color my hairs beautifully. I will surely go back there to explore more options. One of the best salons in Auckland !!

I have the most amazing hairdresser (Chetan) after COVID 19 lockdown if he told me that I would have to wait until August, even then I would have waited! Lucky me, he gave me one of his first appointments. He worked extremely hard to fit everyone in and is the most talented stylist and hair colourist.

I've had an appointment with Taylor and she was absolutely lovely, caring and did listen to what I said about my hair and previous treatments! She understood what I wanted even though I can be a bit complicated sometimes and I am really happy with the outcome. I had half a head of foils and a cut and it looks nice! Thanks to the whole team and especially Taylor of course for being so welcoming!

The entire team here are incredible, I've now gotten my hair done here for many many years, the service has gotten better and better, and the experience is something I love and rave about. Ive come here for cuts, colours and great head massages. I think this is an experience that will make you realise how great a haircut can really be, vs, something that is like a chore/has to be done. I tried Laboratorie after a bit of searching to find a new hair dresser when moving from UK back to Auckland. Usually moving hairdressers is a painful exercise that I dread, but I'm very happy to say that it was the first - and now only place I will go. I love the team, highly experienced, attentive, great at helping with recommendations for what to do, lovely relaxed environment.

Very warm, tight-knit team of three that work harmoniously to create a very comfortable environment. Taylor worked on my hair, applying balayage colour and re-styled my hair. She was attentive and thorough to me despite how long the process I requested was. My hair hasn't looked this great in a long time. Anyone looking for great service from a talented team should definitely check this place out :)

I have been going to Chetan for over 7 years and I can honestly say he is amazing. Every single time I have a cut or colour I leave so happy. Not only does he do what I ask for, he somehow manages to make it even better than I imagined. He is passionate about what he does, and this comes through in practice as he is always gaining new techniques and knowledge to make sure he is giving you the best care for your hair.
