Beautiful place to be with good views of the waitakere ranges and South Auckland. Good read of the history surrounding this place. There's about 450m of gravel road to the parking area but overall a nice drive all the way.

Beautiful views. A fair bit of a drive and lots of sand flies near the top. Great photo opportunities. Lots of space to sit and have something to eat. There is another hill seperate you can walk up for a good view as-well as the normal lighthouse walk.

Good to visit on a bright sunny day. Beautiful calm surrounding with sound of the sea breeze and squawking seagulls. What a peaceful vibe! You can even see the Sky Tower from here on a clear day.

Beautiful place. Lots of parking available. Lighthouses was closed due to Covid. Nice area for family day out/picnic.

A bit of a drive to get here but worth it. The views along the drive are beautiful along with the actual destination itself. To get to the lighthouse there is a dirt road to take. There are also toilets here if needed. There are a few lookout points here and a short walk. You can get down to the beach but need to drive there again. Lighthouse is free and open to all. Really nice spot.

It used to be beautiful and attractive place, but they have locked a lighthouse recently, it was alright but was a waste of time travelling all the way from central auckland for hour and half and to find out they have locked lighthouse for vistors, they should have an update about it, other than that scenic view is still mesmerizing but a long grown bush around lighthouse doesnt make it picturesque anymore.Needs some improvement orelse open doors to lighthouse and it will fix everything I guess!

Beautiful views, sadly the Lighthouse was closed due to Level3 but we still enjoyed it. Definately worth getting out of the bigcity and enjoying the 1.25hour drive. Afew picnic tables up there to sit back and have lunch, from the carpark theres afew stairs to get to the lighthouse.

This place is beautiful. Nice drive from Auckland about 1.20hr for us. Short walk to the lighthouse. This time around the lighthouse was locked due to Covid restrictions but still the scenery is beautiful. There is another short track where you will see the rest of Auckland.
