Reviews of Moire Park

Moire Park is beautiful! It is very big and has multiple entries. I initially went to Moire Road (because that makes sense, right?). There is an entry to Trees for Babies, where hundreds of trees were planted for babies born in Waitakere. Unfortunately there is no parking, except on the side of the very busy road 🚫 There is another entry at Granville Drive. This offers a big car park next to a great playground, sports field, sports club, basketball court, and toilets 🚻 🌴🌴There are many different walkways to explore. Some start at 1km, others are up to 3.45km. Unfortunately the markers are not great, and the arrows become confusing. At one stage I got a bit lost, and had to back track more than I would have liked 🚶‍♀️ 🚗 The main area around the car park is paved, and pushchair friendly. If you want to explore the awesome bush areas, then be prepared for a bit of a hike, uneven ground, exposed tree roots, mud, and gravel road. But also the most astonishing clear water with lovely little waterfalls and native birdsong 🦜🐦 I wish I had my togs (costume), because I just wanted to dive in! I was particularly hot and bothered, and the crystal clear water looked so inviting 🏊‍♀️ It was a very rewarding outing!

Please upgrade my local park. Right next to Massey Rugby. Heaps of parking on and off street. Shops and royal heights 1 minute drive. Close to motorways, malls and schools

A nice playground for children. Walking track and field to play football. The kids loved it

Great for small & older children. Our Evie had a great time & didn't want to leave (as usual)🙂

I love this park, especially the wooded areas!

A very lovely place to walk ,lots of people walking their dogs, or taking the younger ones for a ride on their bikes. The fields are very busy with teams playing rugby in the winter. There is a lovely kids play park and also basket ball hoops. However, the only time I've been disappointed is on the weekend mornings when it's not un common to see empty drink bottles, sometimes smashed littering the car park.

Nice local facility; great for walking dogs. Such a shame people litter, the stream is 'dead' no more eel (tuna) & other fauna that was apparently plentiful in the past

First walk for me at this park and adjoining bush. I really enjoyed it. The tracks could be marked out with signs though as I think I shortened my walk by accident. One juction has 6 directions/ tracks you can choose from. None have signage.

Great place for kids to swing!

Walked from West Harbour reserve on West Harbour drive to well established bush tracks in Moire park, reminiscent of tracks in the Waitakere rangers. Great for families, took around 40 minutes to walk a loop with the youngest being 3 years of age. Enjoy!

Good parking

This is a very big park. With toilets, playground sports fields and large walking area. Good for walking dogs. Good for playing Pokemon Go.

Moire Park is in Granville Road, which runs off Moire Road, Massey, West Auckland. It is naturally flanked by residential homes, the MRFC Clubrooms and the Massey Athletics Club.There are 2 rugby fields on this side, and one field is now a designated soccer field. The roadside playground area has the mandatory swings, slides, and climbing frames, and some grassy mounds nearby. Also, a separate basketball hoop court. Roadside carparking is available. There's a gated through road, between the MRFC carpark and the playground area. Carparking available here, by the separate men and women public toilet 🚻 and shower facilities. Moire Park, like all parks are enjoyed and used extensively by the immediate community, and the wider communities. It swells in numbers and usage by visitors as well, especially during the rugby and soccer season in winter, and touch rugby season in summer.

A great park to have around corner. Well maintained grounds and kids play area with the facilities available.

There's a lot going on in Manutewhau/Moire Park! Numerous sports fields, a great playground, basketball hoops, the rugby and athletic clubs, and of course kilometers worth of beautiful bush walks

Good to take the kids there for a walk or play in the field,but to me we goes there everydayfor our exercise . walking is very good for your health.😀😀♥️♥️

Spoilt by people using motorbikes and go carts. Dangerous practices, no helmets and children on bikes as passengers, no helmets, riding around the carpark
