The most satisfactory hair service I have received in years! I have just moved to Auckland and have been so nervous about getting my hair cut as I am not familiar with salons in the city. I am happy to say that choosing Q Hair Cafe was the best decision I could have ever made. They are very welcoming and the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly the whole time. Kevin was very kind and professional. Patient with my questions and highly exceeded my expectations. Will 100% return in the future.

Kevin is the best hairdresser in Auckland. I really mean it. He would never suggest u something which won’t suit you or might destroy your hair. Very genuine and very knowledgeable. He knows what he is doing. He is very careful with hairs and about ur desired look. He is someone I can trust with my hair. Very friendly and good customer service. Highly recommended 👍🏻👍🏻

Both me and my wife have been going to see Kevin and the team for years now. They always been amazing - great hair styling and customer service. They always take time to explain everything thoroughly. I have been suggesting this place to all my friends. Definitely the best place in Auckland CBD.

Kevin has been my hairdresser for over 11 years as I have been going to him to get my hair permanently straightened using the Japanese straightening technique. He does an amazing job of transforming my curly hair into sleek straight hair. He is a great hairdresser and would thoroughly recommend

I recently dyed my hair blue at this hair salon and I'm lovin it so much. I believe it turned out absolutely stunning and it is one of my favorite hair colors I have tried so far. The customer service was also amazing, the staff were extremely caring and very polite. Overall I am both satisfied with my hair and also the service, will totally recommend and it is currently my favorite hair salon

We have been Kevin's customers since 2019 and have been loyal customers ever since! Their shop/salon is at level 1 (same building with City Fitness and Hulucat Queen St) We referred so many friends to try Q Hair Cafe, so far all come back again, very happy with all our hair cut and hair treatment services (keratin/perm/color etc). First thing after COVID lockdown, we tried to book in advanced only thru him! They are so friendly with excellent customer service that will make you feel welcome. Above all, very skillful and professional, he will give his professional advise if it can really go well or not or what suits your hair best. Remember to book in advance! If you want to feel and look new, young, fresh and in-style, we highly recommend to give it a try too and for sure you will come back again, like us! Let's support local business 🙂

Kevin and the team are very experienced and friendly, sometimes giving me tips on how to maintain thin hair. Their loyalty card does not expire so I recommend storing it where you won't forget!

Quite picky to where I go for haircut and since I have tried them out I have never been to any other shop since then. Always happy how my haircut turns out. Had a recent hair treatment too and it was so good.

The male hairdresser is so nice to every single customer. I'm sure no matter what hairstyle you bring to him, he'll make it. This hair salon is highly recommended!

Backstory: I had a previous review of a different hair saloon that gave me a bad haircut so I felt like I needed to go somewhere to get it "repaired." I just walked into Q Hair Cafe. I was seated in front of the mirror immediately. My bag was secured in a cabinet by the staff. I showed the hairstylist the cut I wanted, she was efficient and gave me a great haircut. The price is also affordable. This place is a little gem in Queen Street - highly recommended!

Awesome place to get your hair done. Have been going here for a coupla years now an Kevin has done my hair to perfection every time. Wish he was in Rotorua so he could be my permanent hairdresser. Wonderful service by everyone else and so easy to arrange appointments or fast waiting times if not.

Went there on a recommendation of a friend yesterday. Really loved their service and I loved the haircut I got ❤ I didn't had much directions for the hairdresser apart from the fact that its too long and I don't like it.. she understood what I want and I loved every bit of it. My favorite hair cutter Ana is leaving this store. She did amazing job. LJ couldn't cut out the shape like Ana well. The haircut price for men is $30 and for women is $40 now.

What an amazing experience! Just changed my hair style today and absolutely loving it! Well explained about my hair condition truly and recommended a hair products after. All staffs are absolutely friendly, kind, well known knowledge of hair products. Outstanding customer service! Such an amazing hair salon I’ve ever been to. Plus, what a great/reasonable price! they have a stamp card and I am so excited to get another stamp for next visit. Highly recommend.

I am the regular customer of Q hair cafe. Kevin is my hair stylist . He is very friendly & patient. I am really satisfied with his hair cutting. The reason I give 4 star is I am not that comfortable with the cleanness . Sometime I can see the hair on the floor from previous customers which is not that pleasant. Hopefully they can improve the cleanness of the place to make customers the better experiences..

This hair shop offered me much better performance than I imagined. First impression from its location deep in the building made me think it might be one of many so and so shops in town. Don’t judge the book by the cover! Kevin and its staff are professionals well versed with rapidly changing trends and styles. I picked up the style from the model book which I love but seems bit audacious to me but Kevin customized the model style uniquely fit to me - which is a trait only a pro has. Thanks Kevin and I expect another surprise in next visit !!

Kevin and his team did an amazing job with my hair straightening. I have knee length hair and initially I was scared about damage and if my hair would be handled well. I have had bad experience previously as most salons dont know how to handle long hair but honestly had the best experience here. They give honest genuine advice. Will be coming back soon for a retouch. The results were worth the price!

Recently been there to get my hair done very professional as always =) 100% recommend!

Have been there 3 times and never disappointed me! My wave was done very beautifully and looks natural, and it lasts pretty long for 4-5 months.

I have been going to them for the last 6 years. All the employees are skilled and nice to talk to. In terms of the price point, it is an absolute steal when you consider that a mens haircut costs $20 and includes a wash as well. Sometimes they are really busy and may take about 30 mins but I surely dont mind the wait as I get the exact haircut that I ask for.

They have very skilled hairdressers, you wont be disapointed! Their pricings are reasonable, I think it was around 25 dollars for male cut. I usually get mine done at northshore (they charge you the same price), but ill probably start getting my haircut from here from now on.

My wife had her hair style done here today. She was very happy with the result. The stuff is very friendly and professional.

A lady cut my hair today. The cut was okay, but the hairwash is a bit painful, she used some scrub and my scalp was all red... try be a bit gentle next time..

Getting my haircut done from this place from the last 4 years. They are the best. Staff is very friendly, professional and accommodating. Would strongly recommend this place if you’re looking to get a haircut done at a reasonable price. They also have a loyalty programme through which you get further discount for being a regular.
