R.Won’t be buying my vinyls from anywhere else from now on.
I’ve had a lot of trouble with ordering stuff online recently, living in Auckland during lockdown, and expected a number of delays due to Covid, post issues and the long weekend.
I placed my order Saturday of Labour weekend. As promised, it was dispatched Tuesday, and I was pleasantly surprised today (Wednesday) to find my order has arrived already.

D.Nice store, we did not end up buying much but my wife picked a record on sale for $1 which the staff just let us take for free. Good selection of new Vinyl as well with some interesting high quality pressings.
Z.A Great way to spend a couple of hours. I enjoyed the eclectic combo of shop music and the unpretentious vibe as we rifled through the boxes of vinyls - old and new sorted alphabetically and by genre. Didn't plan on it, but left with 2 new additions to enjoy. Thank you.
R.Fantastic helpful young men. Gave them a list of vinyls I wanted to buy for my sons birthday and even months after I gave them the list they rang and said they had managed to source one of the vinyls on the list BUT would still keep a look out for others. Thats top class service for sure!

J.Boutique vinyl experience in Auckland. Off the beaten track location but still central. Been buying from them for years and will continue doing so. Have unusual offers, such as Japanese pressings, after the owners make trips to the region to hoover up discs. Nice place to chill out and find new music. Top spot.

m.Great record shop. Massive amount of new release vinyl and a small amount of second hand. A discount rack for new stuff off to the side and a willingness to offer a discount on new if you buy a few. Impressive breadth of genres offered, box sets and LP accessories. Very happy to pick up a copy of Beck "Morning Phase" for NZ$27, Pearl Jam Lightning Bolt for NZ $30 etc etc . They do internet orders, but if you can, get along for a browse.
W.With the pandemic, this year RSD experience was unlike any other. Troy at Southbound made it easy with his prompt and helpful replies. It was stress-free and a pure pleasure. I look forward perusing the shop next time I'm in the hood.
