Reviews of Lake Te Koo Utu Reserve

Awesome place to walk around and explore the park. Large trees and natural bush. Lots to see

What a gem of a park. I love all the walkway options and the gorgeous waterfall. Wildlife is friendly. Highly recommended to visit.

Pleasant stroll around the lake on a sunny summer's day. Plenty of shade on one side (the most scenic route), not so much on the other.
Took HEAPS of photos of surrounding trees, birdlife and lake. Great water feature (concrete flow form) cascading down the hill among the trees with a pathway/viewing platforms up to the top beside it.
Toilets at roadside end near the carpark. Would be nice if some were at the other end also, just in case 😉
Several pathways lead up to the top as well on both sides if you're feeling energetic, otherwise it's a mostly wide flat gravel pathway all around.
Quite a few people around, but not crowded which was great for the photo stops.
Definitely recommend, whether for a quick stop, a power walk or run, a leisurely stroll for an hour or two, or even a picnic.
Been here many times before, quite some time ago. So glad I've just been again 🦆🐟🦋🌳🍁🍃

What a lovely hidden gem. We stumbled upon it while viewing Maps on our walk out in Cambridge. We only went into town for a few hours, so couldn't take advantage of the lovely picnic area. It is beautiful, with a few types of birds and lots of hatchlings around. Great sense of community, as we were pulled into various conversations by locals, out for fresh air and exercise with and without their dogs.

Very pretty place but expect the trash bins to be overflowing and the public toilet is often in need of a cleanup. The lake is gorgeous but council needs to up their game in cleaning up more often.

I love going here walks with the dog, picnics under the trees, and events they hold here. There's a BBQ and seating area also toilet facilities. 🚻 provided. Beautiful all yr round.

This is a lovley park. But sadly. Rubbish bins let it down. Over flowing to the point, rubbish was spilling out onto the ground.. and not just one rubbish bin. All of the bins were in this state.. such a shame. Come on council... This is a beautiful town. Don't let rubbish wreak it

It's been many years and the park seems cleaner and more organized. A few paths closes but still well worth a visit

Only a few minutes walk to the town centre, Te Koutu is a beautiful and well kept lake. Great for walking around, and if you're feeling energetic you can take the many trails that go up and down around the edge of the lake. Also has public toilets and a bbq area.

Beautiful lake side walk, it was raining and with the shelter of the trees we didn't get too wet and still enjoyed the scenery
