J.Ordered presents including quite delicate Paua Earrings from overseas around Christmas. Despite the current situation, the order was processed fast, communication of the shipping status was reliable and everything was securely packed. I loved that you put the earrings in a jewelry box.
R.Such a beautiful shop to visit - Paua just has that mystical feel! But its not just Paua, there are other souvenirs and lovely jewellery as well. If you have been travelling with the kids and they need to burn off steam there is a great little playground just outside.

When visiting the shop customers are welcomed with open arms by staff all of whom are helpful and well informed about the extensive range of goods on offer. There is no pressure to buy anything.
Everything on show is of top quality and reasonably priced. Telephone orders are dealt with promptly and efficiently.
A wonderful place to shop and highly recommended. Probably the best in the world.

J.Factory was shutdown for its annual clean (or something like that) so just browsed the shop. Plenty of different knick knacks to buy is youre short of ashtrays :)
T.A little expensive but there are some really nice souvenirs and gifts here. I really like the range of green stone necklaces and other uni-sex jewellery/accessories they had.
I bought my mother a lovely gold pen with green stone and gold flakes inside.
Got a small discount I wasn't even aware of and was neatly gift wrapped with nice wrapping paper.
Friendly service and they have an automated coffee machine available for $2 coffees.
I will definitely visit again.
B.WOW, what an awesome place.. I was really loving spending time going through Paua World, it's incredible. There are so many things to see, such a hard choice to find gifts... Just loved it..
S.This place is full of amazing gift ideas all uniquely New Zealand oriented but not "tourist cheap" items. These are gifts friends and family would love and use. Also great for selection of shell pieces ready to use in craft.

M.Great spot to shop with a variety of NZ goods from local people also.you can buy a cuppa for $2 it cold drink for $3.50 and see a video on how they collect paua or take it outside to the picnic area. Children playground, picnic tables, rubbish bins and toilets are onsite for you to enjoy. Fantastic helpful staff to assist.
S.Ordered a bag of mixed paua as you can no longer go to the shop unfortunately I got a bag of very poor quality paua could only use half of the bag so will need to source from else where very disappointing
g.Great to visit the store personally after previously purchasing by the net. Service was great and good to see how it was done.

NZ customs but supplied letter was a great help.

L.Went to PAUA WORLD about 5 months ago, it is amazing what is done with the paua shells, there jewellery is beautiful as gifts, other lovely items like bowls, plates, clothing, hats scarves gloves all kinds of items to many to name, the staff are so friendly and polite to talk to, lovely, plenty of parking, prices well you pay for what you get, lovely place, don't take my word go on over to PAUA WORLD at CARTERTON in the Wairarapa for a drive and check this fab place out.

J.Excellent selection often far cheaper than seen in Te Papa, Rotorua etc tourist spots. Make sure you check quality as there's a mix of cheap junk and quality treasure here. Treat selection and pretty much every kiwi/kiwiana icon, trope and image is covered here. It's where I recommend tourists for souvenirs if they're passing through the Wairarapa.
E.Uniquely New Zealand the Paua shell and it's rainbow colours has been cleverly made into so many very appealing souvenirs.
A visit to the Paua shop is something not to be missed.
D.A hidden gem in Carterton, with a surprising range of Kiwiana, gift ideas, jewellery and much more. The friendly staff are always helpful and know their stuff. Our family go every year when they visit us, stocking up on presents.
A.i will give my favourite shop in Carterton a full X love it, just heard from a friend in Carterton England on the choice of a present for them, they love it, a shopping bag with a kiwi on from Paua World Carterton. NZ... I often visit Paua World ideal shop for gifts for overseas or of course for NZ! Thoroughly recommended..

M.Touristic store, quite expensive, friendly staff. My opinion that the whole idea of Paua shells is over rated. Still worth visiting for once at least.
M.Good shop but the 'factory visit' only visits one workshop room - a bit disappointing really. There's a great play area outside for a picnic with smaller children.
