Very nice for a walk, one of the biggest sub-urban parks in Christchurch and comes with a range of things to do, with a tire swing, bike track and for the sports people, football, rugby and cricket fields and a cricket batting cage, if you are interested you could join a the cricket rugby or lawn bowls club. Or watch the games there. Most of all it's a great big scenic park with fun for all ages whether it's a relaxing walk, a fun Kickabout or a sport.

A large park with open grass fields for sports throughout the year such as Soccer, Rugby and Cricket. A squash club and tennis club are also located on the grounds. A playground and public barbeques are found on the Avonhead road side of the park. In recent years various exercise equipment has been added around the perimeter of the park. A good place to go for a jog or take your dog!

Once again brilliant Park for young and old. Great playground for the children. Lovely to walk around, very clean & tidy.

Good park, went to the local rugby club for some drinks. Staff were nice, place was clean and felt welcoming.

Great park space but could do with an upgrade, walking tracks required around the perimeter. Always cold on the rugby/touch fields!

Its a beautiful park its ni e to walk around lots if trees and these always someone walking dogs kids playing.

Walked my dog here. Huge park lots of seating play area exercise areas to warm up before a jog/run. Plenty of shade nicely laid out.

Good place to watch cricket/touch in the summer and football/rugby in the winter. Has a fitness circuit around the outside of the park for those keen to improve their standard run. Stations set up with equipment and instructions on how to do the exercise and what muscle groups it will work. Dog walkers paradise for you and your floof.

Excellent went and saw my grandson in a bowling tournament at Burnside Bowling green.

The largest park within the north west of Christchurch. Excellent for cricket & rugby practices, plus tennis 7 days per week. Multiple rugby fields, as well as three to four professionally prepared cricket fields, beautiful walks in bush surroundings, & awesome for dog walking and exercise. What gave me this park is 10/10 now with the permanent excess for 100% artesian water from 200 meters below our surface here on earth. A wonderful added surface provided from 18 months ago. We love it here and it gives my family know need whatsoever to look for any thing other to meet out needs. 10/10 - Mr. Mark Aaron Buckley. - Felsted place, Avonhead, .... .. !!

Fun large park with full rugby, football, and cricket fields. It has a playground for your kids and a dirt jump area for bikes.

Sports fields great for walking

Great for many sports but I see the goal posts are still steam pipe. I watched as a young man died after the cross bar collapsed some years ago. I am hoping the crossbar is welded or pinned to the downright !!!!

Burnside Park is a great Park to go to in Avonhead, there are plenty of field for rugby, soccer and cricket. The exercise circuit they have is great to do while taking a walk. Having the park split into multiple areas makes it not feel to big which is really good.

Very large park with trees and open areas. Good long walk if you walk the perimeter. Exercise equipment, toilets, non chlorinated water refilling station.

Great big field. Nice place to go for a run or to use the exercise machines at. Good place to play some cricket or footy with the lads. Just a block away from avonhead mall. Good rugby club. Close to Burnside high and merrin primary.

Awesome playground with a bbq area and plenty grass area to run around on for the kids. You can go for walk under the trees and further out back is a huge soccer field.

Good for a run or meditating and listening to a podcast or some music on a nice sunny day! Also love taking the dog for a walk here!

Pretty good park. Don't know why I keep finding so many empty little small zip lock bags on my last two visits there?

Recreational park located in bromley/Linwood. Playing fields, adventure playground, basketball hoop, public toilets, And on site parking to complement perimeter parking. Situatds right beside a major arterial traffic route, its open space makes it safe And openly visible.

Plenty of facilities, lots of trees to sit under and watch the day go by - or just the cricket!

There was so much space to run! A ton of sports fields, space for dogs, runners, bikers, etc. Very well maintained and clean.

Summers are coming. Play and picnic. A lot of rugby sessions, a lot of people.

It has free BBQs and Free water station where you can get 20litres of chlorine free water per day
