My go-to place for anything I need. Always a great job. Years ago I had a 54 Ford rear boot lock which needed rebuilding and keys made. Took a while as you would expect because it was a big job, but the result was outstanding. Always get my Mercedes keys cut there with no issues. Very happy.

Awesome service! Trusted this team with my Dad's antique lock box that had been locked and unopened for decades. Not only did they open it without damaging it, they filmed the discovery of its contents for my elderly father to watch! And all with no charge! Thanks for helping tick another thing off his bucket list 😇

We needed a spare electronic key for our Mazda 6. Other places said that it couldn't be done, these guys not only supplied a key fob that was a perfect match but did the job quickly and under price!. Wouldn't go anywhere else and recommended to all. L and P.

Only place that can make copies of my car keys properly. All copies made in other places I have been to have never worked (bought car without originals, so copies have to be made from a copy). Great service and super friendly and helpful. Even went outside to test key for me. And easy parking too. Highly recommended.

Cannot fault their service here - I was in a real bind with a key that needed to be made to fit an e-bike battery lock - in a hurry! Outstanding service. When I phoned with an emergency situation they responded immediately and made every effort to help. It was a huge relief in a very stressful situation. I've used these guys before and they are my 'go to' locksmith. Yesterday they came out on an urgent basis and fixed a lock for me. Will definitely use them again. Price reasonable too. :)

Wasn't sure at first as I called for a quote to fix my car key and to get my driver's side lock looked at, and they said to bring it in, and when I did they were too busy and told me to come in again the next day. A little annoying, but I did come back and they were so great! The guys were super friendly and were able to fix the problem within minutes. They explained everything that was going on, what my options were and what costs I was looking at, and helped me figure out the best solution. They went above and beyond to fix my car lock - even giving me a courtesy car so I could go about my errands, and checked a warning light for me - and were done quicker than expected. Very reasonably priced, super friendly and didn't make me feel like an idiot. Would highly recommend, and will definitely be back for any other key/lock issues. Thanks guys!

After I had lost the key to my rental car, Christchurch Lock & Key was quick and efficient in helping me to get a new one cut. They offered a great price value and the service was top tier.

Locked ourselves out our walk-in robe! I had a meeting to attend in the afternoon and all my clothes were locked away. Dan was here in less than half an hour and had it sorted in about 15 minutes. Great service. Thank you.

great customer service - excellent price. Needed a new spare ignition key for my push-to-start subaru, and everywhere else quoted $800+ for a new key. Dan gave an alternative that nowhere else offered for $295 that works fantastically as a secondary key (allows access to the car and starts it and can be used to make another replica key if needed in the future). They were quick and helpful and I highly recommend!

These guys should advertise that they can pretty much do any Car Remote. I went to Archibolds to get a spare remote for my Range Rover and was quoted over $1000 plus it would take over 10 days to receive it. These guys took just over an hour and it cost me $448 and great customer service. Would highly recommend. Oh, and the remote appears to be the genuine part. Thanks guys!!!!

I took my subaru to Armstrongs to get a spare key, and they quoted me over $1,000. Then I went and saw Dan at Christchurch Lock and Key and he was able to make me a spare key for $280!!! Awesome prompt service - and did it while I waited. They have a cute dog too!!!

Went in friendly welcome very helpfull with getting a key sorted for my vehicle to 99.1% factory match from a overly worn down key.

Rather than be robbed in broad daylight by Nissan I was able to get a replacement spare proximity and door key reasonably cost effectively from these guys. Customer service was great.

Had the locks changed on my vehicle due to a key being stolen. The work was to be done on a Friday but we couldn't get back to collect it until the Monday so they helpfully stored the vehicle for us over the weekend. When I called them on Monday afternoon to let them know that my partner, not me would pick the car up, they said the work wasn't done and wouldn't be finished until midday Tuesday. That was the first I'd heard of it. The least I'd expect in the case of a delay would be to be told about it. My partner had arranged her day around going to pick it up that afternoon so it was quite inconvenient for us. When I picked the car up, I found that the driver's side door didn't work with the manual key. Mike fixed it without too much trouble, but I would've expected that this basic behaviour would have been checked first. Very friendly staff, but I don't think I'll be back.

Had the pleasure a month or so ago of walking into this store. I talked with the owner about what I was looking for and ended up chatting for over 30 minutes. I learnt so much and he even talked me out of several expensive product (that I'm sure he would of made more money from) into a less expensive more appropriate product that was exactly what I needed. This sort of customer focus service (rather that profit focused) is getting rarer these days and was refreshing to see. You have a life time customer in me and I highly recommend anyone looking for security locks and such to stop by and see if they can help you like they helped me. Definitely worth the visit. Took my 1998 Camry in because the drivers side door lock was sticking and wouldn't work. Was most impressed with Dan who pulled the lock out and made new keys very efficiently. I am very happy with the result and with the friendly service and reasonable charge. While there a man brought in a broken Jansen intercepter key, a lady brought in a safe with a jammed key and another lady with a jammed suitcase lock. Nothing seemed to be a challenge. Pleased I picked this place.

Dan is the man. I lost my key to my Honda cbr600 and my bike has a immobiliser system. Honda couldn’t help me but they put me on to dan and he was able to Sort out new key and chip by getting into the ecu of my motorbike and going from there and now my bike goes. Thanks mate .

Great key cutting experience today. Competitors wanted to charge an exorbitant amount or refused the job but Christchurch Lock and Key sorted the problem for a very reasonable price.
