N.Loved it out here!!Clean toilets. The only thing is you have to make sure you bring your own water as the water there is not potable but you can go to Leeston and refill up at the fire station or download the app refill N.Z and use the locations available for drinking water. Also no showers but the freshwater creek is awesome lol ....suitable for kids as water is shallow. Definately go back there again.
T.Stayed 3nights . Acres of parking . Coes Ford Recreation is spread over 3 areas . Lovely clean toilets on each site, and rubbish skips. With a clean, safe swimming stream running along side the boundaries

s.Best recreational reserve for families with kids. Shallow river , good picnic spots and camping area.
R.The bridge is a great spot for fishing, just watch out for the cars! Very beautiful and lots of area to explore.

H.Nice place to camp. It's free and has flushable clean toilets. No drinking water. Has skips for rubbish. Not overcrowded. Lots of families with kids. In general pretty good.

T.Perfect place for freedom camping in RV or even tent. It's huge so there's plenty of place for everybody and you can stay here up to 28 days. It's not very far from Christchurch.
S.Love this place* great for camping , meditation, walking or running the dogs, has the river as well, nice place to do photography nature photo shoots as well then on a clear night has spectacular night starry sky and shooting stars, highly recommended 🌠🌈💧

L.There are issues with locals riding all terrain vehicles in and around the area, which is not legal here. Issue last night with partygoers using a no camping area. Loud music. Cars racing in and out. They spent some time also racing a motorbike and 4 wh bike around the park. They obviously think they are exempt. I hope there's no repeat.
C.A lovely setting good river swim for well supervised children. The only thing to be well aware of is the busy road through the ford. Not suitable for undisciplined dogs. Great fun watching the Trout jump. We had a picnic tea in the reserve and enjoyed.🌟🌟

E.Good freedom camping spot closer to Christchurch. We stayed one night here when we travelling in a camper van South Island. We were in a self contained camper and didn't use the facilities in here but they were in good condition. They have s big rubbish bin and recycling bin.
K.Amazing facilities and so spacious! Even the drop toilets are great and kept very clean. It's a shame there seem to be some people here that are just plain disrespectful and a giant pain, but they always turn up wherever there's something for free, I guess.
L.Best value camp I have stayed at. Loos basic but CLEAN. (Bonus). Well populated and quiet. Nice by the river. Good place to stop for a night or two or just a picnic.
B.Easy to get to, basic facilities like toilets. Also able to camp there for free. And some of the best swimming holes!
P.It's a very good reserve run by the Selwin District council clean tolit block clean area great place to swim& picnic would b nice more picnic tables around but I guess candle would damage them.
B.I am a local resident of Coes Ford and am lucky enough to be part of this lovely area all year round. I take huge pleasure seeing both local people and visitors enjoying a day out or two at this lovely spot particularly during the warm months of summer and autumn. Please always drive carefully over the ford itself and dispose off or take with you any refuse. Happy and enjoyable stay at coes ford.

S.It’s such a fun and awesome place to be !! Me and my whole family just came back today from our 3rd time camping here, my mum used to come here as a child and for me , an 11 years old is having so much fun there !! And there’s a picture of our tp hit there we made it 😂😂

M.(Translated) Great freedom camping. We stayed there for three nights. Very large camp which is divided into three parts. On two parts it has toilets (toilet) with toilet paper and disinfection. Faucet and trash can available.
A river flows past the edge. Several trees and bushes, no sandflys.

Toller Freedom camping. Wir waren drei Nächte dort. Sehr grosser Camp welcher in drei Teile getrennt ist. Auf zwei Teilen hat es Toiletten (Plumpsklo) mit Toilettenpapier und Desinfektion. Wasserhahn und Abfalleimer vorhanden.
Ein Fluss fliesst am Rand vorbei. Mehrere Bäume und Büsche, keine Sandflys.
Sehr zu empfehlen.
