Reviews of Little High Eatery
K.
Wow this place has an amazing range of food options & great outdoor seating. Great atmosphere, the food did not disappoint
A.
Absolutely love this place, food looks amazing and prices are definitely fair. Recommend to all. And keep walking around you will find little hidden spots.
V.
Nice and warm in winter, not too warm in summer. With plenty of different choices for several types of food. We went there with our kids and it was a good experience. As parents we always decide to go to places that offers space and entertainment for our kids, but this time we decided to go there after many friends tellings us it was a great place.
We probably loved Caribe Latin Kitchen the most. Theis menu is delicious and the served food came in a pretty decent big plate. We ended up ordering more than we could eat. My kids loved the Brazilian dish "coxinha"
V.
One of my favorite places in the city. You could have different kinds of food in one place. Good location. Good food.
C.
Been here twice so far. Food is really good. Great choices. We sat outside the last time. Would suggest they ask people to drop their food plates back inside when finished eating. Birds all over the tables eating off plates when diners leave. By the time the staff come to clear the plates and then come back to wipe down tables, tables are already being used by new customers.
J.
Well i could not have been happier with this place! The food i got from the Mexican place and the burger bar and grill place was amazing! we had food from all sorts of different places with the group that come with us and even got cocktails at different places too - everyone can choose what they want and still be in the same place! great idea and the bay of plenty needs one. Ill be back for sure!
B.
We and our friends had a great meal here. We got something and enjoyed the feast-it was really fun.
The highlights are the meat plate, dumpling sampler, matcha soft food, noodles and apple mango rolls.
L.
Loved the atmosphere and the food was delicious, cocktails were amazing, will defiantly be going back 👍👍
D.
Different types of food are under one umbrella which was a good experience for us.come and enjoy
G.
The food was good, hot, quick. The table and chairs were clean.
We were just going to head home after a movie. I am glad we stopped in for a bite to eat.
C.
It's usually quite crowded, but a great place to go with a small group, as there are so many places to choose from, so if you have friends with different dietary requirements, everyone can easily please themselves. The environment itself is cool, and while it has the function of a 'food court' like in a mall, it is just a much better experience.
P.
Awesome place with lots of variety. If you are after a delicious steak on a grill, El Fogon is the place. Note that if you want it well done, the meat will take some time. The thickshakes from the Italian pizza's place are delicious. They had awesome Blueberry daikiri at the Caribe, think and full of blueberries. The place is great for families as everyone can find something they like!
W.
What a wonderful place. Great outdoor dining. Chill and casual with fancy food. The Cucumber mint and lemon ice block was refreshing and just what I needed after the most delicious burger ever from Bacon Brothers yummy
C.
Can't decide what you want to eat or drink for lunch or dinner? Then Little High Eatery is the place for you! So many choices is what will be the challenge for you! Top off your choice of food with a jug of Sangria from Caribe Latin Kitchen to share. You can sit inside or outside. The atmosphere is buzzy. Try at at least once. If the vibe grabs you, you will be back for sure!
K.
Eatery is cool. BE CAREFUL THOUGH: The car park is NOT clearly sign posted especially if you're out of town and go at night. You pay for parking 24/7 or else Wilson slap you with a nice $65 fine. They had a great time chucking fines to nearly half the cars in the car park the night we were there.
Y.
Very refreshing to see so many vegan options at this place! Such an overwhelming feeling(in a good way!) to have more than one vegetarian option(hold the cheese please!). We settled on Bacon Bros and had the Sweet Sweet Clo with a side of deep fried cauliflower, WOW! Loved their coconut bacon idea and the glaze/sauce on that burger was mouthwatering. I realized halfway through my burger that there was no “meat” replacement. They rocked the root vegetables with that amazing hash brown patty, sweet potatoes and beet that I never thought I would like in a burger. 10/10 would recommend!!!
T.
Variety choices of food to choose from this eatery place.
C.
Really busy and it was a Tuesday night. A good buzz everyone appeared happy. We did not have to wait long for a table. We filled in the time looking at the menus of the different eateries.
We had a group of 5. We shared loaded fries and a couple boards of onion rings from Bacon Brothers (they made one of our party a vegan sweet sweet clo burger which she loved).
We also ordered from the Noodlemonk a Thai place they had a beautiful mussaman curry...yum. We also got a bento box from the Eightgrains Japanese place which was very good (you could pick 3 main items to go with a beautiful fresh salad. There is so much choice a great place to go.
D.
Loved it, fantastic place, awesome food - the playlist was a bit naff tho' - a too much bbqreggae . Bacon bros tasty.
But great look & feel, will be back.
Edit - came back following night, Thai food was great ... & funnily enough the music was the other way - very pop/rap/cheesey ... ah well... Cheers tho, great place.
K.
One of kind in Christchurch! Best margaritas in town by the Mexican place, eightgrains dumplings are WOW and the woodfired pizza is a must try. And if on keto bacon brothers have got you sorted. I can walk to Little high every weekend and will never be bored of it
J.
Had plate for 2 from El Fogon, it was divine. Meats were delicious cooked to perfection. I told chef, come open one in Taranaki 😁
j.
Best Red Thai Curry I've had in a very very long time. Great atmosphere. Little Hi is my new favorite eatery
K.
The most wonderful selection of well priced cuisine from lots of different origins. The cerviche was up there with the best from anywhere and the bento boxes were huge and tasty! Great atmosphere, able to buy alcohol at happy hour prices from 4-6pm. Kids welcome. Loved it.
L.
Multi-option eatery with cool decor that gives it character, even though it’s a new build. We opted for a lamb pizza from Base Woodfired Pizzas. I usually like a super thin and crispy base, but the slight chewiness was really good. Paired with a hazy from next door Bacon Bros, it was a good Sunday lunch.
P.
A boutique eatery in the Christchurch CBD within the SALT square boxed by the 4 famous streets. A collection of different ethnic foods filled with street food vibes offering a rather unique dining experience. Foods are diverse culturally and everyone seems to enjoy them. Services are quick and there are waiting staff roving around to keep the tables clean. Will return with more friends.
B.
Great choices of food. All of the different cuisines makes it a great spot to visit. Perfect place for the group who can't decide, or those days where you where you can't make up your mind. The execution by the vendors is top notch.
J.
This place won’t disappoint. Tried pizza, tried a burger, and tried pad Thai with a crew. 10/10 would visit again. You won’t be disappointed - THIS place is bomb. Christchurch is a cute lil town and if you want your taste buds to go on a whole ‘ other journey this is the food port to take them too.
A.
Amazing selection of all sorts of smaller and bigger bites from dumplings to pizza or ramen. There's a perfect flavour for everyone and the prices are fair.
T.
The place has 7 restaurant that has their own menus. It is like a one stop shop to taste dishes around the world. They have Thai, Japanese, American, Latin and more. It is a must visit place, the ambiance and service is remarkable for a reasonable price.
c.
Lovely place where all can have a different meal at the same table... Great way of pleasing everyone. Thanks Christchurch
J.
Busy busy and more busy at lunchtimes. Great assortment of cuisines. Get in early for lunch and dinner. I frequent here twice a week. Go try it out, you won’t be disappointed other than for a parking space.
E.
Many options of food from Latin, Italian, Thai, Chinese food and also ice cream, beverages & dessert options. Good attention. Car park available. Good prices. Pet friendly. Wheelchair accessibility.
M.
One of my favourite places to dine out on a Summer's evening. Lovely selection of foods to choose from. Staff are friendly. Prices are great. Love it.
R.
Been to the little high complex a number of times since I moved to Christchurch.
Amazing place, loads of great places to pick up various types of food like pizza, burgers, dumplings and various other things.
Highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to eat.
J.
Love the food here and love the idea, always a struggle to get a table though, needs the same seating numbers but double the space (unsure if they do bookings)
r.
Great mix of cuisines & great atmosphere. Perfect for a group & u don't all want the same food.
Come here often
C.
Great food court with multiple eaterys with choices for all. From pizza, burgers, Thai, sushi, stake, coffee, Spanish food, and lots more for reasonable prices. The accept credit card so no need to exchange money if you a tourist. Tourist friendly as everything is in English. There is okay seating inside and out. Parking is a bit of a problem but is easily accessible.
s.
Great eatery in the city, ample parking, hippie decor, wide ranging food selection, high chair, pram/disable access. Asian fusion, grill, burgers, Thai, and more. Pick matcha ice cream, a rare find in Christchurch. Good place for quick and easy meal, affordable and tasty. I recommend.
J.
lots of good eats here!! there’s many different cuisines to choose from and the food is really good; i’d definitely recommend checking out bacon brothers! the interior is pretty well decorated, it’s a really nice place! gets real crowded at night but it’s a pretty good place to hit in the afternoon!
P.
Super nice and cozy place!
The Paleta bar was yummy
M.
Little high eatery is a very popular spot, and a great spot to meet friends and have a bite to eat. Personally I'm not a huge fan of eating here due to the busyness and the overall food court vibe. However I know this is an unpopular opinion, the food is great with lots of options, and nice bathroom facilities to boot.
T.
Great choices and fantastic atmosphere had lots of options gor vegan and vegetarian made it super easy for us yo have options.
P.
New food market-style hotspot opened within the inner city's foodie trifecta (think C1, Madam Woo and Dux Dine). Home to eight family-run businesses, LIttle High is an upmarket version of a food court that serves everything from dumplings and grilled meat to tacos and pizza. There are eight different eateries; Bacon Brothers, A Mouse Called Bean, Eight Grains, Noodle Monk, Base Pizza, El Fogon, Caribe Latin Kitchen and Sushi Soldier, with options like a mixed Argentinian grill, Taiwanese braised pork rice bowl, and churros to satisfy your sweet tooth.
F.
Didn't come across this place first time I visited CHCH. Worth stopping and getting some good food. The place is relaxed. Warning though, no roof and adventurous birds..have seen two people have been pooped on...
H.
Found this gem of a place tucked away in Christchurch central area. Picture a food court - but with reasonably priced, quality food in a cosy yet open space. Fussy about what to eat? This warm space will alleviate your inability to choose what to eat. For those days when you feel like steamed pork buns but you also want an iced mocha, or wood fired pizza with thai street food and bacon butties, or simply when you're with your friends and you all want different things - fear not my children. Your cravings are merely metres apart in this food temple. Your first half hour of parking is also free. I gave this place a five for its diversity and comfortable environment. I am yet to try more food, but so far so good. Service varies from okay to great for the most part.
Will be frequenting this place on the regular from now on - the type of place where you can eat alone but not feel lonely. There are places inside that offer vegan/vegetarian options as well. Christchurch needs more places like this, it's good for the city
Say goodbye to the screaming misery of mall foodcourts - where each minute beats it's 60 seconds to death accompanied by the cacophony of the daily shopping crawl
I.
Awesome place to visit and have a wide range of meals.
A.
Nice place for hangout. Heaps of choices, happy hours tap beers, clean and they have staffs who always ready to serve.
J.
Great selection of food at great prices, go early to avoid missing out on a table
A.
Delicious food, lots of choice. The kids had burgers and fries from Bacon Bros which they enjoyed - nice ciabatta buns & chunky fries. I had pad Thai from the Thai place which was a huge serving and nicely done. We went just before 12pm on a Tuesday and it wasn't too crowded and the food came fairly quickly. Great place to eat with people who have different tastes.
J.
Get in early if you expect a seat for dinner! You can't book a seat in advance as the shared seating caters to a variety of eateries all under the same roof. If it takes your fancy, you can get your starters, mains, drinks and desserts each from a different eatery. If you love the hustle and bustle of funky spots, I'd definitely recommend you check out Little High Eatery. I recommend the wood fired pizzas (and cheesy wedges!) and dumplings!
G.
Had suck nice beer 🍺 and pizza here🍕 👌🏼
The food court its self is a must see in Christchurch...the vibe, the smells, the huusle and bustle. Incredible!
R.
This is the most happening place in Christchurch. This is no surprise given the amazing selection of food and wonderful ambiance here! It contains a selection of different cuisines from around the world. Personal recommendation is the Machs and banana milkshake from sushi soldier and the baos from eightgrains!
A.
Loved this little eatery. Busy but a nice relaxed vibe with heaps of seating options. In terms of food I got a burrito and a cocktail from the Mexican place which were both great.
A.
Good place for a variety of food. The delivery of some food items seemed a bit off in terms of timing, nothing excessive. But otherwise a great vibe and good food, well priced.
N.
I like the atmosphere. Different types of food and reasonable price. Will come back.
S.
great food options, very friendly staff this is a great place to eat if you have friends who all want different things to eat
R.
Great variety of food choices. . .all of them scrumptious!
M.
Loved it. Best place in town for lunch. Loads of options. Good Asian. Craft beer. Cool vibe. Couldn't ask for more really.
J.
Beautifully decorated with lots of different options. Do try out the pizzas as you won't be disappointed. Not the best place for a quick lunch though with waiting times of 45mins+ at some places.
w.
What a lovely place. We sat outside enjoying a coffee. Mmmm Bacon Brothers is soooo delicious. Easy parking
K.
Love this sort of upmarket food court concept. Decor is casual modern, with a heated outside area. Happy with portion sizes, prices and quality of most of the food, though not all. The food from one stall was far too salty and sweet at the same time. On the good side, try the deep fried cauliflower for $8 from the Bacon stall, salty and sweet without being over the top. Probably just for winter, but the drinks stall near the main entrance do a *lovely* mulled wine for $9.50 a glass.
W.
Love this place! So much variety. Took my kids here today during the holidays for lunch and was amazed at how cool this place is !
M.
Fantastic burgers at Bacon brothers. Best one in Christchurch. Try the Mango Mills, for chicken or the Happy, for Bacon 😁👍. Atmosphere is great. Bar outside under cover. Other burgers were huge.
P.
Great place to eat with a wide virality of different dishes from all parts of the world at a reasonable price
S.
Great selection of eateries...the Argentinian Grill is definitely worth a go... accompanied by cocktails from the Latino Bar. 😄
J.
Great Thai Red Curry & Penang Curry. Saw new Chicken & Gin bar that was Madam Woo. Looks good.
M.
Good selection of trendy food places here to get some tasty treats. Burgers, Chinese, all sorts of options. Licensed for alcohol.
It’s clean, tidy, modern. There’s free water and the toilets are numerous, private and clean.
They give you those pager things and you can choose to sit anywhere inside or outside. Tables are cleared quickly so no sitting down in a dirty spot. Tables had serviette dispensers on them which is handy.
Plenty of parks (parking spaces not green ones).
P.
Love this place. Alot of great choices. One of favourites is Bacon Brothers burger, Ben From Accounting. Chicken, bacon, pineapple and more. Beautiful. Their hand cut fries are definitely worth a try.
My go to Non alcoholic drink is from the Wood fire Pizza shop next to Bacon Brothers, Coconut milk Chocolate Thickshake. Yum.
Something for everyone here with 8 different Eateries.
I.
Went to the new boom boom chicken, it was ok definitely had better spiced dishes elsewhere, won't be returning
S.
I loved my food from yarn! Super quick and delicious..
A.
Really really think this place rocks.
Great vibe
Good music
So many choices.
Due what is basically a posh food court, wow it's good.
Choose the meal, grab a drink, fund a seat, enjoy!
C.
Where to even start this review will pose as much of a challenge to me as picking a place to eat in Little High will be to you. As soon as you walk in, prepare for an onslaught of delicious smells and fun food stalls. We made a first pass at the Tom Kah from Noodlemonk, then Octopus’s Balls and Chicken&Corn&Coriander dumplings from Sushi Soldier and Eight Grains. Yum yum!
J.
Superb mix of cuisines to ensure the best choices for all. Modern variations on burgers collide with beautiful Japanese Katsu, and light Indian dishes. Go down the back for Carribe's Latin American fare, or hang around the Bacon Burger Bros. indoor food truck.
The place is backed in weekends, with a big outdoor area full regardless of the Chch cold.
Go here for delicious eating and enjoy the excellent range of options.
f.
Funky atmosphere, friendly, welcoming Individual food operators of high-quality foods. Definitely a great idea for a group to go because you can all pick up different things according to your tastes. Honestly a warm inviting easy place to meet and enjoy super food. Clean!
C.
The Moroccan pizza and Shane burger are great, highly recommended. The Asian food, ugh, it's not good based on my Asian taste bud.
J.
A place must go for lunch or dinner when u at Christchurch!!! Fantastic pizza and burger !!! Amazing..Good service and free hug when u order Bacon brother !!!!
C.
Gets very busy during dinner so can be hard to find seat but such a cool place once you find it. Bacon brothers burgers are amazing as is the shakes from base pizza. A must to check out if visiting CHCH
O.
Great atmosphere & selection of meals. Only thing could pick on is tables were dirty.
J.
Fun environment, great concept. The food we tasted was great too
E.
Fantastic you can pick and choose where to eat all under one roof. All the food served here is a really good standard to.
L.
A wonderful venue with plenty of options to suit all tastes. Would definitely recommend.
T.
Fantastic place. Lots of different food options under one roof. Sit inside or outside under cover. We had bacon bros. One jazz and one woody. Soooo yum. Cool buzzer to call you up to get your order. Too warm for heaters but preemo at night or on a cold day. Bravo this place!
H.
Loved our dinner at Little High. Eightgrains was delicious with generous portions.
J.
Brilliant atmosphere for a Monday night! Great food. Wood fired Pizza
W.
Perfect food court with variety from all over the world. Can be very crowded on weekends so do come early or be prepared to wait for indoor seating
V.
Perfect! What an awesome.crazy place! Best to have dinner, especially for a group. One place, many restaurants. Everybody can order what they like but u can still have lunch or dinner together. We had food from 5 different restaurants. We mixed the appetizers, main menu and dessert and it just was awesome! Great burger at bacon Bros. Very good nap bun and crispy chicken at eightgrains, totally tasty but hot taccos and the best fries I had in a long.time at bacon Bros!
Definitely worth to try!
Also enjoyed the surrounding a lot. Can get loud during busy times but hey... Still a cool place
J.
So many amazing places to eat! Sadly we were only on Christchurch long enough to go here once but I'd go back next time for sure! And so many vegan options! I was in heaven
J.
Great selection of food good atmosphere. And the biggest, flashest milkshake ever
A.
This place is so cool. Such nice eateries and a great atmosphere.
P.
Pumping as usual, first time I've ever got a seat indoors.
Decent food, lots of selection.
V.
Excellent. Fun place to eat out. Lots of intriguing food on offer.
We had a delightful oven cooked pizza. So crispy, with great choice of fillings. There were two bus loads of us and we all came away happy.
A.
The location is very convenient and within walking distance from any hotel in the city. The place hosts multi-restaurant within the same premises and gives a feels of a village marketplace. All the restaurant has something unique to offer and recommend to ask them for their best dish if you are confused by the choice. There is always a fight for space as it's full the 2 times I visited there. Great place to enjoy time with mates and family.
A.
Fantastic food...lovely friendly staff. One young man who was clearing the tables outside tonight asked us if we wanted the gas heater near us. So nice....will be back again.
A.
Great atmosphere, great selection of food, only downer is you can't reserve tables.
A.
Solid range of different eating options. Good range of different alcoholic drinks and milkshakes etc for the children and wowsers. Cups are brightly coloured. Tables outside have heating in winter which is nice. Always popular and if crowds aren't your thing maybe give it a miss, but better to dine off peak then miss out.
J.
Great communal vibe, big variety of places to eat, and seems to be always busy. If you're a big group you may have to slowly (and politely) seize table territory as other folks finish up, but the staff here are so helpful in combining tables and spotting opportunities (and doubling as photographers!) you won't be standing around too long. I hate food courts...but love this place!
K.
I absolutely love Little High Eatery! There’s something for everyone here. The only downside to this place is that it’s so popular, you’ll have to walk around a bit to find a spot to sit. First time here I had Thai food and the second time Pizza, both were excellent.
D.
What an interesting concept. Different restaurant spots in one building. Is like a food market but restaurant style. And they all doing a hell of a good job
B.
Good selection of cuisines. I’d recommended the Mexican and the The Asian. Both have good vegan options and tasty food. They also serve alcohol. Seating can be a little bit tricky at peak times but I would be surprised if you didn’t find something by the time your food was ready.
K.
We mainly come here just for the Les treches cake. But it is a favourite to have dinner at almost weekly.
I had a friend who was asked to leave while we were waiting for our food because he brought food in from outside ....I was ready to cancel my orders as we had no where else to eat in such cold. But my friend has a temper when this sort of stuff happens, and the guy remained so calm and insisted he was sorry. in other instances have had people in uniform enjoy antagonising him.
I like this place more now after the way he handled my friends attitude. I’m sure it was difficult 😮💨
M.
It's like a food market, but in a building. Such a vibrant atmosphere, wonderful service - especially from Bacon Bro's who seem to take the time to get to know you on a personal level. The food is great, so many options. You're not tied down to one place, but many.
J.
Love this place. Great concept. Plenty of options. Perfect for groups and families.
S.
What a great place! Awesome choices of quality meals, from different kitchens, all under the one roof. Spoiled for choices. Looking forward to another visit soon.
C.
I had a great dinner, Argentinian parrillada and Pisco sour (made by a Chilean bar tender with Chilean Pisco). The amount of food was generous and the Pisco sour was perfect (I tried them in other places in New Zealand and this was tasted like home)
R.
This is a food court where different cuisines are on offer. It is very popular in Christchurch. Had quesadillas and burrito from Caribe Latin Kitchen and they were fantastic. They had a vegetarian option under each category. We had been there on a weekday in the evening and the place was packed. Had to hunt around for a table but the ambiance was fantastic.
A.
Awesome selection of lots of great places to eat - clean - and excellent customer service
B.
What a spot! The outdoor dining area is awesome, delicious dumplings and burgers. Great place to go with friends because there are so many options of food. Highly recommend going a little early and dinner as it gets rather busy!
E.
Friendly with lots of different good and drink options. A bit too crowded.
J.
Really amazing place to go for food. Great service and for all around. Great vibes. It can get really busy but the food and shakes are well worth it. Burger Bros make the best burgers!
L.
I absolutely love coming to Little High Eatery, not only with a friend or the hubby but we also came with my brothers family with the kids and it was super lovely too. We booked a table for 12 friends for my hubby's birthday last month and it was absolutely perfect! The service was awesome, I think the only down fall is that it takes forever to order just a drink. Future improvements could be to have the lovely wait staff who clean up super fast to be able to order drinks for us like you would at a restaurant but then I guess that would be too messy, but good food for thought, we would have stayed longer with my hubby's friends if this was a possible thing but we ate a lot and had a drink or two each and we were all satisfied and the toddlers were welcomed and we are always recommending to our friends and family and my clients too!
Our new favourite place to go out! And I always find a park so so easy and breezey! Thanks for being in Chch little high! We love you!
M.
What a fantastic place to meet and be merry. Varied options for eating and fantastic cocktails all under one roof. The only let down and the reason for 4 stars rather than 5 is the seating. The immense popularity of the venue is also it's downfall in that we had to wait around 10mins for a table to become available.
J.
Loved it there! 8 different eateries, shared eating space. With live music.
R.
Fun atmospheric vibe. At night dining it ridiculously busy to get a table to sit so get in early. Is popular as it offers so many good options in one place. I would class as a high end food court. Frm Mexican to thai to American burgers and shakes this place has it all.
H.
Great vibes and collection of shops for different taste. Interesting menu options from Asian Italian to Mexican and burgers. Wonderful bathrooms, but very dirty cuttery!
D.
The pizza place has ... the ... best ... buffalo chicken pizza. Sals for the wings, but this eatery for the pizza itself. I really enjoyed my lunch there - it helped get my mind off of the annoying computer repair i needed to deal with in the area. Oh, and the whole eatery looks good, so definitely a repeat visit spot!
a.
Cool hip place. Very busy. Awesome food and drink.
L.
Cozy place. Nice atmosphere and ideal for small group of people.
M.
Amazing . The atomsphere was alive and buzzing. Incredibly busy place with an amazing variety of food. Something to suit everyone. The Tiger beer in the tall glass was perfect. The woodfired pizza was delicious, the stir fried rice noodles were delicious. The Satay sticks where absolutely delicious, tasty and definitely moreish.
C.
I love this place! Lots of yummy dishes to choose from. Good craft beer and other drink choices! Something for everyone. Serving sizes are good too for the price.
J.
Good variety of food. Great ambience. A cozy place to come and eat!
T.
Lots of different options to choose from - Thai, Indian, Mexican, Cuban, pizza, Japanese, burgers etc. All small business inside. Seating spread throughout and open seating area outside with lots of big tables. Ate at Bacon and Burger Bros which was run by super nice brothers with big delicious burgers. Lots of burger options, with funky extras like a wink or joke. A friend of ours got a discount because he had red hair like one of the owners who got bullied by it and wanted encourage unique
D.
Great selection of food with such a good atmosphere. Just pick up a table and enjoy your meal selected on the wide range street food ^^
J.
From Eight Grain Bao - a plate of stir fry greens and vegan dumplings were fabulous on a cold southerly evening. The vibe was busy friendly relaxed.
I recommend this destination for the choice and vibe.
S.
Great food court with artisan and small business eateries. Plenty of indoor, outdoor, and booth seating. Paid carparking
J.
An abundance of great meal choices, we visit everytime we are in chch
G.
So many options to choose from my favorite is fried cauliflower from bacon bros, cookie shake from wood fire pizza and Thai place is amazing
W.
Great variety of good food. Nice international food
j.
Fascinating and very interesting visit
Exceptional quality of food and drinks to choose from. Cosy atmosphere
H.
Great place with a variety of restaurants. Fun and lively atmosphere. Lota of drinks and food to choose from. Enjoyed my funguy sandwich from the Bacon Bros Burgers and rasperberry daiquiri.
E.
Amazing place, mixed international kitchens for a delicious meal❣️Quick customer's service!
L.
Definitely a place to check out if you are visiting CHC. Despite the quiet streets, the inside atmosphere is super buzzy. 6pm on Monday and you cannot even find a table. Lots of different cuisines, quick bites options..very reasonable too.
E.
Had lunch at El fogo'n grill, sooooo good the meat was tender and fresh a good size meal for your $$$
R.
Wow what a cool concept.
J.
Loved the food,atmosphere buzzing.
L.
Awesome place!! Lots of vegan options - had a delicious salad poke bowl for Japanese restaurant! Loved it ❤️
j.
You gotta try this eatery. 👍
Staff service is fantastic.
This is a great place to eat out and enjoy with your family or friends in Christchurch, with a variety of different cuisines to choose from.
No reservations walk ins only. It has plenty of shared seating inside and outside the marketplace. Crowded and can be very busy during lunch time and at night.
FYi, no outside drinks allowed! Charge to experience 🤪
They open early and closed late which is very important here in Chch as most of eatery closes early.
Located in Asaph St. and parking can be difficult at times.
C.
This restruant was really good to dine at. The food was really delicious and tasty.
L.
A great selection with a good atmosphere. I have been here several times and the food is delivered quickly, with a only few orders taking quite a while.
It is usually very busy, always struggle for a seat indoors and end up sitting outdoors no matter the weather.
A.
As you walk towards the place, you'll see your standard outside eating area which is a bit more packed with people than what I normally see until you step inside...........You have to go and make the trip!.I won't spoil it for you 😃👌✔
M.
It’s a beautiful eatery with different cuisines. It’s open till late on Friday and Saturday’s. All time favourite place. Worth having Woodford pizzas, dumplings, deep fried cauliflower , tacos , best stone cooked lamb ! Love the vibe, always lively.
N.
Great spot. Just what this city needed. Best to go down on a weekday arvo to avoid the crowds. Bacon Burger Bros and the Burritos are sensational.
J.
I tend to eat the same thing almost everytime. The pork belly dish and the polenta chips from Caribe Latin, which i both highly recommend. However, I can also recommend Sushi Soldier, Woodfire Pizza and El Fogan. Good Service with a bit of a wait when busy. The atmosphere more than makes up for this.
A.
A very nice place for a dine out
My favorite is Panang Curry from the Noodle Monk .
C.
Great eatery with good atmosphere. Would be nice if there was a little more inside seating available.
N.
This is a great place to meet up for a light meal with friends. Many food options though out the complex. I still didn't find one of the places that I found a menu for!
S.
Awesome place, always busy and great variety. It's the perfect place to take a family of picky-eaters or when you and your partner can't agree on what to eat. Gives you a variety of options to take to a shared eating area: like a food court only far nicer and with much more enjoyable food. Parking options are good, it is paid however so don't expect to park for free.
D.
On a hot Christchurch Sunday morning we bunked down in the shade of the little high eatery for a feed. And what a feed. Mates can choose from a number of market style eateries whatever they prefer, pictured is are the bacon and banana pancakes from bacon brothers. But there's also a cafe, pizza, Asian and Mexican shops too.
R.
Best waldoff salad in the city at the pizza place some good food shops yes yes and yes
G.
Great selection of eateries. Loved sharing big tables with strangers and chatting.
A.
Walked in. Rolled out. Amazing food and variety.
A.
Wonderful selection of eateries. Family friendly favourite
K.
I come here with mates and we all ordered food from different restaurants and we were able to sit together. Fantastic food court with brilliant service.
M.
Nice cheerful place. The Shanghai wontons were very good
S.
We went to Little High Eatery for all our dinner over our stay in Christchurch as we fell in love with the place as we walked in! It has good pool of choices and variety of cuisine but the best part was that every kitchen was spot on with what they were serving. We had the Pad Thai (portion was massive), Pizza (OMG their tomato base sauce was absolutely stunning), Ramen, Fried Chicken and finally the Cuban Sandwich and Nachos from Latin kitchen. The staff looking after the hall were super friendly and the vibe was so chilled! Definitely will be one of the reasons we will be coming back to this wonderful city!
R.
The place in the 'little high eatery' with the Argentina flag above it eating place 'el' something, the food was flaming brilliant, massive food portions, one easily feeds two adults. Delicious and highly filling meat meal dishes.
N.
Good place with nice choices of food. From asian till western and on top of it. They have alcohol or even coffee under 1 roof.. It was a nice experience having lunch here..
c.
I've been here probably... 7 times. It is actually a great eatery with a outside tables as well. I mostly like the BASE wood fired pizza. I would recommend getting a large sir George pizza with Aioli sauce(personal favorite)
It is perfectly located in the middle of the city. After eating, you can go around taking pictures of some great designs around Little high. Enjoyed my stay every time.
T.
The vibe of the place is awesome, food is delicious... I pigged out😋
C.
Burgers and chips were great!!! A bit pricy, but great!!
J.
Lots of food choices. And good craft beer selection. Indoo and outdoor dining areas...good
A.
Loads of good food options. Hard to find seating at times especially if you are a big group. Persevere to find a spot to sit as its worth it! Love the atmosphere. Always meet interesting people sitting next to us.
S.
Parking was $2 for an hour and the place was packed, but I didn't think the food met up to the popularity. I thank a kind waiter (didn't get his name)-who was wiping a table we finally got a hold of-as he genuinely cared enough to try and find a seat for us.
R.
We come here every time we are in Christchurch, but was disappointed with the Bento Box meal.
L.
Great place for lunch and dinner. A lot of variety of restaurants and live music. Good prices.
H.
Love eating tapas here at the Mexican place in the booth seats. Great vibe and food. Relaxed and fun! The burgers at The Bacon Brothers are exceptional as well. The Jimmy and The Stan are fab!
It get's really busy and absolutely packed, even from early evening, so finding somewhere to sit can be difficult at times. If you love people and a busy, noisy vibe, then this place is for you. It's definitely an eat and then go to the movies kinda place.
y.
Have to come here every time I go to CHC. Bacon brother got my favorite burger in the city and the wood fire pizza is also very good.
E.
Were taken by friends on a tour of Christchurch. Great buzz and good for groups where you have a choice of so many types of food - our group had pizza, burger, tacos and quesadillas...all great and good value.
J.
We like this place but you need to be prepared for how busy it is. Family had to find somewhere else to go due to lack of seating. This was around 18.30. Plenty of individual seating but hard to find two seats together
T.
This little gem has a variety of cusines we picked Mexican. It was delicious!
D.
I will just say.. best food and drinks with so many cuisines to pick from..
T.
7 restaurants, shared seating and all the craft beers you could ask for. We got the pizza from base which was fresh and flavoursome and the burgers from Bacon Bros. Best burgers in town in my opinion. Great spot for the whanau any night!
Z.
Love this eatery. You have a varieties of food selection from all over the world. Basically, from the main popular countries like Italy, Japan, Mexico, Paraguay, Thailand, and others. My favourite is always the nachos and wood fired pizza.
C.
Always a pleasant dining experience. Great service, fresh food. So may options, so everyone gets something they want. We'll be back.
F.
Great food, very packed with people usually
G.
Best eatery in Chch, great for families so you can try different things.
P.
Wow, amazing. There were 10 of us for lunch today. It was busy the whole place was packed, however the wonderful staff managed to get us a table inside out if the freezing cold Christchurch conditions.
There was a great choice of different food. I got the Thai - seafood pad thai which was amazing a majority of the others got Bacon Bro's and their burgers look and according to all tasted great.
Quick great service.
m.
It's a Lovely place to go to wine and dine, cool alternative, all the popular kids go here! CHCH HotSpot but needs a bit more music and spice as a little too pretentious and proper. They should make a tiki bar outside bamboo grass roof and bongo drums with lights and dance floor now that would be cool!
S.
Great place. Great atmosphere and great selection of meals. One star down only because there is often not enough seating.
E.
Awesome place! So many options which makes it a great place to go with a group of people as everyone can choose what they want from various places. The atmosphere is good and it’s in a great location.
c.
Awesome vibe, great food, big selection of different foods to order. Very busy sometimes hard to find a seat.
J.
OMG im in love with this place. The food was outstanding. Lots of different foods to eat and would suit anyone even fussy eaters.
D.
Great atmosphere, great concept. Downside, limited seating. We struggled to find a seat. Went to bacon bros, great burger, order fries that I didnt receive. They were super busy, and true to personal time constraints I chose not say anything. Great selection and nice and warm.
S.
Great Lunch & Atmosphere here today. Even saw this dog in their carpark protecting it's owners car!
D.
Loved this funky character version of the food court. Food and drink options fantastic. Tasted a few and all had top marks from me. The Bacon Burger outlet had a vegetarian and a vegan option. Both were delicious and they high fived us for ordering them. Gotta love that!
G.
Wide variety of food to choose from, several restaurants, and a nice atmosphere. Wish there was more seating however.
Y.
Cozy place, a lot of food, and all is best food with reasonable price. High Recomended when you visit chrischurch
K.
A good place for having lunch, afternoon snack and chat. The bacon brothers burger is a must try, go for the “ Big Jim”
R.
OMG, amazing atmosphere and variety of eateries. Pick your mouthwatering dishes and enjoy. Alcohol available and amazing cookie shakes. Mix it up with friends and do a taste of all. Good clean facilities as well
C.
Really cool food market in Christchurch!
b.
Whole range of different types of food in one place. Well worth a try. Pretty tight on vaccine pass so that's a good thing
G.
Awesome food and atmosphere!
M.
Great food, but needs more seating at busy times
N.
Great and cute food court with plenty food to select from, reasonably priced.
D.
Food is always AWESUM
Staff always ready with a smile 😎🤘
D.
Great selection, and an amazing atmosphere. Tables go quick, so get in at off peak hours for easier seating
T.
Newly returned to Christchurch we were pleased to be introduced to Little High Eatery. We had Tonkatsu Ramen from Sushi Soldier and a mixed burrito from Caribe. The ramen was delicious with a surprise of pickled mushrooms which really made it for me. Washed down with a Good George Doris Plum cider. The burrito too was delicious. Himself was pleased he’d asked for extra spicy as it would have been too mild otherwise. His Southpaw APA was a good accompaniment. If you haven’t been to Little High, you’re missing out.
B.
A great multi eatery something for everyone I suggest booking a table if you can the food is excellent funky i atmosphere very clean
M.
Great food selection, so many different places to choose from. And everybody can have something different, if they want. Happy Hour promotions too. The four of us enjoyed Mexican.
T.
This place is like a one stop shop for whatever you feel like drinking or eating. Personally I'm a big fan of bacon brothers and love there service and well as the wide range of craft beers. Have been here multiple times and will be back again very soon, always great service and always delicious!
C.
Brilliant food and atmosphere with enough range for everyone. Food is ready promptly and it's of great standard. Awesome selection of craft beer. Seating is lacking a bit causing long wait times for seats and out door seating often lacks heat lamps but overall a great location.
N.
This place was buzzing. Great selection of various foods from various places. Can be hard to get a table or even to make up your mind about what you would like to eat.
L.
Jug of water and cups delivered to tables.
Great destination eateries.
Melbourne vibe.
Bacon Brothers great service....and awesome burgers and fries.
l.
Great place to hang out with friends and family. Better to come early for table. Have everything there to suit everyone's taste. Totally recommend bacon brothers, grilled meat and Mexican cocktails.
D.
Awesome place, gets busy after work on a Friday, but a great place to go for a drink and a meal.
C.
Vegan stir-fry noodles from Eight Grains is a must!!
T.
Great food selection. Great atmosphere. Can get busy due to the popularity of it but its an excellent place to go to experience several different cuisines at the same time. Good for large groups or fussy people too. 😀 Recommend visiting here if you're from out of town.
J.
Love this place! The worst thing about it is trying to choose what to eat! So many yummy options and all of them are good quality food and service. Only downside I would say is probably not enough seating sometimes when it gets really busy!
Good outdoor dining area for the sunny days!
S.
A number of choices for dinner. People are friendly and service is fast.
K.
Delish!!! Will definitely be back!! This was the $14 lunch deal, amazing value!
A.
Had a wonderful meal from Bacon Bros Burgers.
The Angry Eagle & Shane are both burgers we would be happy to have again.
If you have at least two to dine, you would be foolish not to invest in some Bacon me Crazy loaded fries to make your meal compete.
Not a fan of the sodas, but you should know your own drink preference.
E.
Really enjoy going to this eatery. I'm getting around all the eatery's. Being able to chose something from different types of of food places is excellent. Best Burgers in town from Bacon brothers with Gluten free, Vegan & Vegetarian options. Excellent Thai food from Noodle place. Base Pizza is a great woodfired pizza place. Excellent Japanese & Coffee shop. Mexican is good for a taco. If you are into meat the coal fired meat place is awesome and the ribs are a must eat but make sure your hungry. Places here also have alcohol options which is great for a food court style eatery. I don't think I have a bad think to say about any of the places here. Great for, lunch, dinner, singles, couples, and also groups cause you can get what style of food you want. Must eat place in Christchurch
S.
Love Little High Eatery! Great atmosphere, great food, and great music. Lots of different types of cuisine and plenty of options for vegans and vegetarians. Alcohol served at some places too.
M.
Great place for a beer and cheap eats. I’ve tried the dumplings and Thai food, and they were both great! Different food shops have different selection of beers so it’s worth exploring a bit. Very popular so hard find a table for a massive group. But there are plenty of tables for four people. Looking forward to coming back and trying other cuisines.
V.
My first visit. Love the vibe of this place.
L.
Super cool concept, amazing food! The owner TP was so welcoming and friendly gave us lots of local tips for visiting Christchurch.
E.
It nice crowded place. Plenty of space indoor and outdoor with a heater to sit. Various food with acceptable quality!
R.
Great options and family friendly.
J.
There is some decent and even great food here. But its insanely crowded and so poorly setup. Id say 75% of the time i try and go here i leave without buying anything because its just too packed. Super badly planned.
J.
Great place, very cool atmosphere. The wait at Bacon Brothers to order was a bit long but once the food arrived it more than made up for it. Would happily go again
Y.
Amazing concept! Love how Christchurch has come back stronger and better than ever. Casual dining for all! Fussy eaters, different tastes, particular about food...this has and caters to it all! Many different eateries inside to choose from. The only thing I would say to prepare for is how busy it is! So if your claustrophobic this may not be the place for you. If you dont mind the busy vibe then you'll love it! Pick what you want and then find a spot to sit and eat it! You can share tables with everyone and anyone. This is the whole concept. I personally liked it even though it was super busy...maybe go a little later like 8pm to avoid the peak hustle. I highly recommend Bacon Bros, their burgers are absolutely delish!
C.
Great place with a variety of eateries.
Downside is that it's too small for the popularity and number of eateries. It can usually be a struggle to find somewhere to sit down.
Lunchtime everyday is busy so avoid or be prepared to wait.
There is an outdoor area with heat lamps when it gets cool for eating which is great on a nice day but the occasional smoker ruins it.
Bacon brothers and Noodle Monk are two of my favourites here.
They do offer free water at several dispensers inside,
A.
Great place lots of food and drink options
C.
Great atmosphere .We arrived late so ate Thai and had lovely beef and chicken noodle soups and a glass of wine each.great staff and service.
A.
Great space, great food and drink choices, my only criticism would be that it is slightly too cramped making the possibility of social distancing nigh impossible. Otherwise no real complaints this place is deservedly popular
R.
All of the food here is impeccable (Especially Burger Bros). Normally extremely busy but there is always a table for you to sit at. But other day when I was there on of the employees of the actual Little High Business came over to the table next to me and kick out this innocent couple who were doing nothing wrong :(. Still not sure why to be honest.
K.
Good atmosphere and a lot of choice. I've been many times and never been disappointed. The Cookies & Cream milkshake from the pizza place is awesome.
M.
This is an excellent place to go for a meal. Lots of variety and a great atmosphere. Car parking is somewhat difficult when its busy which means street parking is the only option. The food is great value for money and its very tasty. There are some nice drinks.
A great place for a large group like a birthday or quite ok for two people. Definitely worthy of visiting and trying it out.
D.
Yum, Yum & Yum....awesome good...great atmosphere
C.
Wide selection of different types of cuisine, beer and wine (including Vegan!) available, bustling vibrant atmosphere during day, more mellow in the evening. Something for everyone, plus great music.
a.
Great place. Wide variety of food. The pizza and the burgers were both amazing.
E.
The Burrito I ordered was tasty and filling and priced well. I'm not a fan of this type dining, so took me abit to get comfortable..
V.
Went there on a rainy winter day for brunch. Lucky the place was cozy enough to keep me warm. Love the variety of food that this place offer and they are pretty affordable. Great to hang out with friends or family.
L.
Small variety of foods, but majority of eateries are over priced and not that appetizing and portion amount isn't really decent.. but definitely recommend and love the Thai food place in Little High!! Price, portion and quality is pretty decent!! 😊(Not sure if it's called Noodle Monk or something sorry)
E.
I had a really delicious burger there 🍔 I can highly recommend this place 👍🏻
D.
Real asset to Christchurch, Great atmosphere and fantastic food.
M.
Great food options but let down by it's design and own popularity. Its easily the best food outlet in the city currently and it's limited seating means a constant battle for a table. Once more of the city opens up and the lunch rush is spread more evenly this place will improve immensely.
G.
Had a fantastic rib eye steak. Friendly atmosphere and service. Epic place for a casual meal.
M.
Such an awesome place to grab food. So many different choices all at one convenient location. Had the Bacon Bro Burgers and it was amazing! Would definitely recommend it. Will have to go back and try some of the other venues as well. It can get quite packed in there though. Luckily they have room outside with heaters for you to dine at.
K.
So many different choices of food but it does get super busy on Friday and Saturday nights, I often can’t find a seat on those nights especially if it’s raining as the outside area isn’t super sheltered
T.
Always a good time at little high eatery!
E.
Many options to choose from. Food is great every time i go 👌
J.
Great place for a casual dinner - lots of choice of cuisine and a lively vibe. Thai Street Kitchen very tasty but many other options too.
D.
I love it! Super friendly people, great food. There are some vegetarian / vegan options and if you can't find anything - just ask. I had no problem getting something done for me.
It can be very busy after 5pm so make sure to get your table BEFORE you order food.
P.
Great range of cuisines, particularly love Caribe Latin Kitchen and their churros. Gets very crowded at busy times.
M.
Can't wait to get back and try some more food. Great buzzy atmosphere and Hesiod of good food to choose from.
L.
Expect to spend $50 and up. Food is delicious especially Bacon bros which has the best burgers I've ever had (and I've had a lot)
p.
Really nice and lively place to try different types of food. I went for the Thai place and it was full of flavour with a quick service. Really enjoyed the atmosphere.
T.
Had lovely steak and salad with friends
S.
Good range of places to eat. Tight corridors and seating makes for a busy, noisy atmosphere. Additional space outdoors means there's usually enough space to sit down.
Makes it a good place for a group of people with diverse tastes of food or a date going for your favourite meal. I recommend the lamb pizza.
R.
Great atmosphere and awesome food
S.
One of my favorite place where I can choose different cuisine dishes and the taste of the food is great
M.
The best part is there is always something for everyone. From burgers, to pizzas, or something Asian, it is free seating and you can order from whichever stall.
Happy hour is from 4-6pm, and the prices are reasonable for the portions.
H.
I absolutely love this place. The vibe is amazing and there is a great range of food outlets.
Food is prepared fast and there is plenty of room to sit.
When travelling in Christchurch I would come here about 5 to 10 times a week for lunch or dinner as it is so easy.
Cannot wait to come back!
C.
Really great place to eat in Christchurch! It fit perfectly for us wanting something fairly quick, relaxed and well priced. Check-out the individual reviews of the different places, but I'd recommend Bacon Bro's or the Thai Street Kitchen. It's great that you can get different styles of meal, but still eat and drink together. Was VERY busy on the Saturday night we went, so be prepared to wait. It can feel a little cramped inside when like that!
J.
A great vibe with a wide range of products and services. The items we have had to date are not your everyday dishes, so we expect to be regulars for years to come. Only problem I can see is it may become too popular!
C.
Great food. Great choice if different foods (pizza, burger, dumplings, Mexican etc). Great atmosphere and cozy interior. Space for bigger groups too. But can get very busy so make sure to arrive before /after 'rush hour' or expect to maybe wait a bit for a table. But well worth it!
R.
This place is fantastic a must visit if you are in Christchurch.
L.
Still busy and very good food. Be quick if you see a table free
a.
Just a fantastic place great food and top staff will be back every time we come to Christchurch and tell friends they must visit Little High Ea tery when in Christchurch
C.
Love, love, love it! Bustling atmosphere reminiscent of Melbourne lanes but with a nod to our climate....a roof! The decor is fabulous, I notice something new every time I visit. The selection of food from around the globe is amazing and priced very reasonably. Something for everyone so no complaints. The only downside is the busyness. It is sometimes difficult to find a table and I can't imagine bringing a group of more than four. Which is a shame because it would make an awesome birthday party venue. I think a big table that could be booked ahead would solve that problem and I can't imagine it would ever be empty. Can really recommend this place, full of people with full tummys, happy, smiley faces and wallets that still have some cash left!
P.
Great place. Wonderful atmosphere. Awesome food. I would recommend this place for everybody as it is a very relaxing and social environment. If you have a group and want to have flexibility of food choices, this is ideal. No need to book and food can be ordered from a number of different food stalls. Similar to a food court, but much nicer food and atmosphere.
J.
Went to Bacon Bros for a veggie burger. It was really great. Piled high with ingredients, with really well-made chips on the side.
My wife got dumplings and a noodle disb at the restaurant across the aisle, and she was really happy too.
There's something here for everyone. Highly recommend a visit!
C.
I tried the big grilled pork rib at El Fogón Grill in little high. The food was nice, the chef was friendly. However, I didn't like the waitress there. She served people without a friendly attitude. She had a creepy face. I will definitely come back if that girl is not there.
N.
I just had the best Woodfire pizza ever, the sir George, 🤌 *Chefs kiss*, highly recommend
A.
Came here last night with a group of 4, two of us are vegetarian. We were able to find something for everyone. We ended up getting quesadillas, so delicious!! Very affordable, very filling. Two of us came back tonight to get same meal takeaways.
C.
Great food and cool atmosphere but definitely not enough seating, can hardly ever find somewhere to sit when you go in anytime after 6.30pm most nights
M.
Huge range of cuisines to choose from. Always busy and lively - such a vibrant place to eat out. Bacon Bros Burgers is the #1 place to eat there in my opinion, but it is all tasty. Beer selection is also very good.
J.
Great concept! So many options to choose from and the vibe was good all around. You just have to keep in mind if you’re going as a big group, to allocate time to find seats. It’s often busy because the place is fantastic and has got so many good food.
If you’re unsure what to get, find one of their booklet menus to see each resto’s menu! That saves you from having to walk around looking at each menu.
P.
Went there for a casual lunch with a friend and was treated so well upon arrival and the whole place was just buzzing and the food there... AMAZING
R.
Wow, amazing food and a great selection of cuisines. We had dan dan noodles, fried pork dumplings, a chicken burger and chicken satays and all the food was absolutely amazing. Best burger I've ever had, as well as the best dumplings I've ever had, and the best satay sticks my partner has ever had. Highly recommend and will be coming back many times.
n.
What an awesome spot! First time to visit and was very impressed. Despite being packed (on a Sunday night no less) the wait times were short and the quality of the food was top notch. Well done!
A.
I've been only for burger, but there is many cousine such as BBQ, Mexican etc. , so you have heaps options to make your belly happy. Plenty of room to sit down and enjoy yourself. This place is busy as. One of 'must see' in Chch.
T.
OMG. The best place to go for lunch or tea. Nachos to die for.
M.
Omg so good. Took the kids and teenagers here tonight for dinner. Had fresh made sushi, woodfired pizza, bacon bros burgers, beautiful stir fried vege dish. All fresh and soo good. A big thumbs up with great atmosphere.
S.
Awesome food Awesome appmessive 👌🏿
A.
A nice place for visit. The happy hours are so popular.
A.
Incredible food court with enourmous variety. Everything was affordable. Many different drink options to choose from, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic.
There were a lot of tables, however this place gets incredibly busy around meal times, so be aware of that.
Also, when it's full, disability access is very poor due to the density of tables and people.
R.
Awesome hidden jem with fantastic vegan options. Met a cleaner here from Sir Lanka and I must say, his service was literally the best we got in our whole trip in Christchurch. I trust management will pass on my thanks and give him something special.
P.
Lovely little food court in the center of Christchurch. Different restaurants for different desires so everyone is gonna find something here. The vibe is really nice. Big recommendation if you are around.
S.
Stopped in for some lunch and a beer. Plenty of options to choose from. I had a bowl of Ramen, which was delicious. My wife had a mixed tasting platter of dumplings. Both great dishes.
J.
Great place with awesome food options. Just ends up too crowded for my liking
T.
Awesome place lots of food options everything we have tried so far has been delish we are vegie and there are plenty of vege and vegan options latin kitchen gets my top vote had the mushroom quesadia twice now great value and yumm
S.
Fantastic food, great atmosphere, options galore and very popular.
D.
A "food court" like no other. Came here during lunch and it was busy but quiet compared to the dinner rush. Coming for dinner be prepared to not find a spot very easily. Some great food to be had from the vendors here. This place is great to go for a drink or for food. Didn't see anything that I wouldn't enjoy to eat.
T.
Almost like a food court but a million times better. Great casual place to come with your friends if people want different things. Many different cuisines under one roof (international). Indoor and outdoor seating (with heaters). You order at each establishment's counter and most will give you a buzzer to let you know when your food is ready for pick-up.
Great location downtown. Can be a little tricky to find if you're referencing google maps, but not too hard. There are some sandwich-board signs on the street sometimes too.
Some of these places do serve alcohol.
T.
A wide variety of great food and drink options available here.
More than a typical food court you would expect, it offers a bar, as well as various cuisines such as Western and Chinese.
Parking is easy to find but seats can be tough as it tends to be very crowded. Wait times can be long too but it is well worth it for excellent food there.
H.
Bloody great place to grab one of the best shakes in ChCh. Go to Base wood fried pizza and grab the 'Freak Shake' You will not regret it, trust me.
M.
There are so many good food places here. It is really busy at night time and packed inside. During the day it is a lovely lunch spot to go. I thought the place would be bigger inside because it is slightly cramped. Best way to describe it is like a fancy mall food court but without the mall and way better food.
E.
Wonderful place. Collection of great bars and restaurants in harmony under one roof - like a food court for grown ups.
W.
Awesome eatery, 8 restaurant in one place and a great vibe!
Think trendy food court with a pub like atmosphere.
Venezuelan grill, wood fired pizza, noodle bar and cafe - so something for everyone.
Family tip: get there pre or at 6pm or before. Definitely gets more pub like after 8.
A.
Interesting food, fantastic pizzas, lovely people. Lots of interesting local, craft beers. Crowded and noisy (obviously very popular). Parking is challenging, if you want to be super close. Otherwise there's always the Wilson, lizard parks.
S.
This is like an indoor food court with lots of different mini restaurants offering largely international food options as well as burgers. It gets very very busy so you may struggle to get a table or have to sit incredibly close to a random. My only complaint is that it can get more like a mosh pit than a food court some times when you are trying to find your way around. Would be great if it was bigger but I'm guessing they didn't realise just how popular it would be when it was built!
i.
Little High has some incredible restaurants to eat at, it's a food court with high quality eateries. Highly recommended Bavcon Brothers or Woodfire pizza especially for Vegan options. There's a great choice of seats inside and outside however at peak hours it will be very full and finding a table can be difficult plus you'll need to line up to order. Would recommend going in a quiet time. Also you will need to pay for parking, $2 for an hour, the machines take cash and card.

How anyone could give this less than 5 stars is beyond me. Awesome atmosphere, plenty of food to choose from. You can sit together and all order from wherever you want - what more could you ask for!? It's crazy busy at peak times (lunch, dinner) so be prepared to wait for a table and awkwardly steal it as soon as people leave. Worth it, though. I always take my out of town guests here.
R.
The pizza here is one of my favorite things on this planet. Seriously, the Base Wood-fired pizza Margarita pizza is incredible. Little High is a really it lovely family friendly space suitable for all sorts of encounters whether it be a date with your secret lover, or a weekly dinner with friends, little high is great. The only issue I have is that Bacon Brothers always takes ages to cook the food, that being said, they are the coolest people on the planned and do a ginger discount!
M.
Good location and right place to chat up with family and friends
N.
Love the great variety of food places to choose from. Was relatively clean as I saw a few cleaners about which was good to see. Don't like the odd mix match seating though and could be laid out a bit better as I definitely feel it's a bit crammed but was worth it
p.
Of I love this place so many cuisines in one place from different cultures restaurants. Just great food and chilled entertainment.
D.
Always good here. Asian bar close to the outdoor area makes an awesome and authentic tonkutsu ramen that favors on the broth of pork as opposed to chicken.
Only downside is during peek hour there isn't room to sit inside due to the high volume of establishments.
A.
Love this place. Great selection of eateries, and a good range of drinks
D.
Amazing place with amazing food. What a gem this eatery is. Located not far from the new shopping centre of Christchurch this eatery has many choices. This is not your usual fast food but a more trendy upmarket place to dine with many options. On this day I found myself in the line at Bacon Brothers. My eight year old and I had a couple of amazing burgers and would highly recommend this to others.
S.
Its a nice place but i feel they could do more with seating arrangements
V.
Love this place, amazing food and friendly staff, quick service too if you go at the right time
A.
A great concept for an eatery. (albeit super popular and often crowded) As a vegetarian there are several options, but the one that blew me away was the Bacon Bros. You wouldn't think they'd have a veggie option, but they had an amazing coconut based bacon and kumera and hash options, and the menu even says they are happy to turn any burger on their menu vegan. I keep going back to little high to try new foods, but have yet to be able to pass the coconut bacon burger without giving in. yum.
M.
Great place delicious 😋 😋 different food places to choice from Service good
I.
Always a great place to eat, many different options to choose from but if you go on the wrong day, parking and finding seats is a frustrating process. But the food is amazing and friendly staff make it a go to spot in Christchurch.
M.
A really great place to have a meal, there are a variety of vendors to choose from, including; Thai, pizza burgers, Spanish, Japanese, and Mexican. If you're going in peak hours it can be difficult to find a table so plan ahead. There is parking out front, but it costs. On street parking is usually more cost effective after 1800
r.
Fantastic space filled with a multitude of food and drink options from around the World. Always full of people and laughter. Great space to hang out, eat and drink and people watch :)
J.
If you're familiar with Sydney's 'Spice Alley', this is very much a similar setup. Great place to come for a pizza, steak, burger, Asian dishes. Dinner will cost you 1$5-25pp for food
n.
This is my 8 year old daughter's favourite place and for good reason. Wide choice of food, quick service and vibrant atmosphere. Good for families as well as adults and big enough so they can mix without intruding
J.
It's quite cool place to go and all foods are amazing especially wood fired pizza 😍
L.
Bacon Bros "Shane" burger is amazing!
Y.
A friend of mine told me about this boutique eatery in town which to me sounded cute but what she didn't tell me was how amazing the vibe is here! It reminded me of a food truck festival but with food and drink options that are normally reserved for restaurants. There was an array of different cuisines available and with so many exciting options, the food court style seating made trying several different restaurants possible. The only problem I encountered was that it was sooo incredibly popular that queues were long and most seats had long been occupied by those who has managed to snaffle them up! So come here if you want a good time, just don't be in a rush.
T.
I really loved the chic vibe and layout of this place. Some very fine food in every little shop. It is so popular because you can just come to one place and eat a variety of foods of your choosing. Mix it up with different ethnic cuisines :) Friends highly recommend the ramen and the bacon brothers place. I think Eightgrains is really good too :D
D.
Nice selection of eateries, indoor and outdoor seating, readily available free water caraffes, delicious food. Welcome addition for Christchurch.
L.
I really love this vibrant international eatery. The layout the atmosphere and the assortment of food is wonderful. A mish-mash of decor as you walk through the various bars and eateries creates wonderful vibes. Very popular place.
P.
Amazing... food...atmosphere... MUST SEE
M.
Fantastic place to eat. Plenty of variety of food available and all top quality.
W.
This place remains a favourite for catching up with friends, family, or work colleagues over a really tasty meal from one of 8 food outlets. Great vibe. Trend-setting. Economical. And so much fun!
C.
Man! Awesome!. One of the best burgers i have ever had. Bacon Bros.
The setting and idea behind Little High is a winner.
K.
Great, local eatery with 8different options. You can visit anytime of day and will find something you like. Perfect for a ounch tome catch up for dinner and drinks with friends.
T.
It's a casual dining place with a food court concept but higher quality food. Travelling with elderly who don't really use to local food so everyone get what they like. The Soup Ramen and seafood fried rice is great and the chilli sauce you get from the pickup counter is amazing.
A.
El Fogon @Little High. Two huge lunches, one ribs and one Pasillada (chicken thigh, full steak and gourmet sausage) each with sauces and bowl of fries. Only $16 each, or $22 incl a beer. Haven't tasted such succulent, well cooked meat in a long time. Glad we made the trip and encourage all to support our excellent local eateries, especially now when they need us more than ever. Thanks El Fogon @Little High
D.
Great selection of cuisine. Cool atmosphere. Lots of people. A bit overcrowded. Often have to wait for a table. Quit noisy but can still have a conversation. Long queues for the gourmet burger place.
S.
Such a cool little spot. 8 different eateries all in close proximity. Such a range! Noodles, dumplings, pizza, tacos, burgers and more. You can order from multiple eateries and take a vibrating buzzer with you to tell you when each dish is ready. Yes it's crowded and chaotic but I think it's genius!
L.
This is a very cool place to go with people who like a relaxed/chilled environment. It has a hipster vibe. ordered from Bacon BROS Burgers & their food was MOUTH WATERING. So much flavour! had to wait in line up to 25 mins & then food was ready about 45 mins later - TOTALLY WORTH THE WAIT. The server made the experience worth while!
B.
This is one of the coolest places I found on my weekend to Christchurch. It's a shared space with several small eateries packed in. There's Japanese, burgers, Thai, pizza and more. There is such a great vibe as all the patrons sit together. The place is buzzing. There is also some good beer options. I had the ramen and my friend had the pad Thai. Both were huge and delicious!
V.
AWESOME PLACE FOR FOOD! BAO, KARAGE, UDON, MEXICAN and more. Look forward to the next visit. From South Auckland
F.
Trendy collection of little restaurants of all kinds, unified under the umbrella of the “Little High Eatery”. Upbeat music, plenty of funky seating, with each restaurant decorated in its own individual style (depending on what it was). I was given the “big menu” by a chatty server from one of the restaurants. She explained that you can choose to sit anywhere and select food from any of the many little food spots, which from memory included: Mexican, Chinese, Japanese, Pizza, Burgers, Grill and there was a pastry cake place. Once you chose what you want to go to the “little restaurant” that makes it. So if you want something from Japanese and something else from Mexican you have to order and pay at two different spots. I.e. it’s a self-service kind of situation, where you’re given a number and food is brought out to you.
Honestly, for someone like me, who has trouble making a choice for just one thing (because I want everything) this was a highly disconcerting. I wound up over-ordering. But no matter, the food was delicious, and surprisingly affordable. I got enough food for me to have three more meals thereafter for the same price I paid for one meal elsewhere he night before.
But definitely 100% a must go when visiting Christchurch.
T.
Good range of food. Bit busy and packed seating but you head in here off peak hours and you are away laughing. Burger bros and other good meat options as well as lots of vegetarian and vegan options.
T.
Amazing place with plenty of food choices for everyone. I saw pizza, Thai, Japanese, drinks, burghers.
I had a Japanese salad bowl and it was amazing. The price is OK for what you get, great value.
I would come back.
E.
So many different places to eat all worth such great food. Japanese, Thai, Western, Mexican, Freak Shakes too!! The Japanese was my favourite but the beauty is that everyone's favorite will be there. Desert and mains and little plates available from most places.
J.
Fresh meaty taste and high quality overall
C.
great food but not overly special especially for the prices :(
N.
This place was probably my favourite on my trip. The girls were lovely when we bad to be quickly in and out. The food was delicious. The prices were pretty normal. Highly recommend!
M.
A great idea- a mix of many ethnicities and price ranges together under one roof! It's perfect for a group outing because there is something for everyone. The only down side to this great idea is space. The current area gets pretty swamped on a popular night. You might be left with no where to sit!
R.
So many choices you'll have to go back again. Loved the rump steak and mashed potatoes with leek and bacon from El Fogón.
P.
Best place in Christchurch. Thai place is really good. Great idea to basically cover every type of food so you don't have to choose for the whole group
D.
Very crowded and hard to find seating for group of four. Excellent selection of food. We all enjoyed what we ordered but as different outlets took different lengths of time to prepare what we ordered none of us had our food at the same time.
L.
First time experiencing the Little High Eatery and I will definitely be coming back! Friendly, exciting atmosphere, welcoming to everyone. Delicious food and finally a place that opens till late in the weekend. We had delicious burritos and topped them up with scrumptious cakes and coffee from A Mouse Called Bean. Five stars!
N.
A great concept. Done well. Lots of food options. Excellent Bao buns from the vendor near the outdoor eating area at the Western end. And the South American Bar at the other end has really nice pulled pork sandwiches
C.
Wide selection of delights, warm and dry, plenty of outdoor seating and basic selection of beer wine and spirits throughout. Often very busy though, can be hard to find a table, not somewhere to visit if you are in a rush.
L.
Excellent food and staff is great.
S.
MUZNI, the duty manager one of the best managers I've ever met. He is very polite and helpful. Overall
Very good food and nice service
A.
Great range of food choices, gets very busy which says alot
A.
Love this place. So many food options to pick from and has a great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend trying this awesome place out.
P.
Awesome place lots to choose from and the family can choose different meal types to suit, good people.
M.
Amazing place, admittingly haven't been there much, the times that I have are always good, the vibes, multicultural cuisine options available to choose from, astounding food and sheer amount of people there, all crediting to the vast popularity of this Christchurch Eatery. Basically, it's criminal if you haven't gone to try it.
c.
Calling this food court is a vast understatement. It's a really more of a massive restaurant/bar with dozens of different kitchens. It has atmosphere. There's a lively vibe. At noon time it was hard to get a seat
M.
Diverse array of good food in a vibrant setting
S.
Amazing selection of food. We are vegetarian and tried jalepeano poppers, tacos and the dumplings and the bao!! They were all amazing. Really want to go back and try the Thai and burgers! Great selection of drinks as well.
M.
What a great way to spend a Friday lunch time! My wife and I both had Pad Thai from the Thai Street Kitchen. Full of flavour and a spiciness to match what we asked for. Add in the general buzz of the venue and you have what is now my favourite lunch spot.
L.
Id heard about Little High eatery from some of my friends at work. So much so that i had to go try it out for myself. I actually went around the block a few times before finding the place. I missed the signage. Once i found the place though i was overwhelmed with the many choices of food. There was a great atmosphere, and everyone was up beat! I tried a Special Burger from Bacon Brothers and will definitely be back again!
T.
A lot of variety. Good for eating with friends. Many good options for food and not too expensive. I ate burger, pizza and ramen there and all where tasty. It is usually quite full and noisy though. Also free water clean toilets
R.
Very lively place for Christchurch. So much variety of foods to choose from. Went there 3 days in a room and had something different each time. Spanish, Mexican, Japanese, Asian fusion, American burgers and a bit of Italian. You won't regret it! And all the staff I spoke to who served me and unique backgrounds and amazing customer service. Definitely a place you need to check out if you ever visit Christchurch!!
J.
Modern and fashionable dine out place with plenty of choices at affordable price
J.
Busy as for a tuesday, but guess that's because of the good food, kids love going there makes them feel like big kids, can be a tad on pricey side but you get what you pay for. Staff really friendly, warn you about the wait time, but worth it in the end.
C.
Awesome selection of great food under one roof to please all tastes. A little too busy for my liking as we could not hear each other
A.
I mainly eat a vegan/vegetarian diet these days, but occasionally I love to indulge in a Bacon Bros burger.
F.
Spectacular food mini market. Was taken here by a friend and was very glad they chose it. Beautiful little place with delightful service and delicious food
L.
Good variety of options here for all. Does get really busy in the evenings!
Good food
P.
The perfect place to get top quality grub for affordable prices. The burgers and fries are delicious, and the burrito was very generous on the pulled pork. Overall great choice and fun environment.
H.
The good there is great and an excellent selection but on busy nights (weekends) the lack of seating areas tends to be obvious and it's small inside. There is lots of outdoor area but less when raining. It would be best to come in the week.
P.
So much good things to say about this place. Spoilt for choice with great food everywhere. Much love for bacon brothers. Down side it gets crowded but you don't mind and understand why when you eat the food.
B.
Fast food bars gathered under one roof, very casual, very busy at times. Food range is wide. Not fine dining, if you're not into fast food this not for you
M.
Great place to go for lunch with a variety of food outlets offering Asian, pizza, burgers etc.
However the downside is the lack of sufficient seating. We have always managed to get a seat but often have to share our table with strangers.
I.
Awsome place. So much choice of so many types of cuisine. Had best steak of my life here. Love going back.
A.
Plenty of choice and has that inner city vibe that can be hard to come by in Christchurch these days. Hence, it can get quite busy, a few times it's been too busy.
B.
Little High Eatery is the food court that isn't anything like a food court. Which is a good thing. Offering the likes of Burgers, Pizza, Japanese, Thai, Mexican and European, there is definitely something for everyone. Pricing is great for the quality of food and atmosphere that is infinitely more enjoyable than any mall food court.
J.
Great selection of awesome food and drink. When you go here make sure you take a friend or two or be prepared to get social because you'll be sitting with strangers. This place has atmosphere.
K.
This place is awesome! If we lived in Christchurch, I think we would be here all the time. There are some really great food and drink options, and the atmosphere is fun indoor outdoor seating.
N.
Great atmosphere excellent staff
Food delicious though my pork ribs took nearly 30 mins mean time my wife took delivery of her beautiful Japanese food and had it eaten while I still waited for mine
Maybe teething troubles !!!!!!!!!!
Will try again soon really worth giving it a go cheers
K.
Love this place! restaurant like funky fitout with lots of yummy diff food places to choose from. Really clever mix up of upmarket street/fast food / restaurant in a good way!
M.
It's a hip, semi-gourmet food court. Lots of variety. We went 3 times. Had dim sum and shu mai the first time, wood fired pizza and pan fried dumplings the second, and a burger with fried cauliflower (and fried dumplings again because they are just that good). We barely scratched the surface of the offerings. It's open seating, so if it's busy you may have to wait - we went at around 4 on the third day and found a table easily. This is a must-go for anyone who loves to eat.
E.
Loved the vibe, heaps of options, lots of pleasant staff despite it being super busy over a rainy Sunday lunchtime. I had a delicious vege burrito but all the food looked good.
Think street food rather than high end but very good.
J.
Great food options. Indoor and outdoor dining. Good atmosphere
P.
Good vibe, great food and awesome culture! Definitely a regular in my books.
C.
Neat place for a meal! Plenty of different foods to choose from. They even have a few vegan options. Limited seating because it’s such a popular place, get there early and hopefully you find a good spot. Definitely worth a try.
t.
It was perfect place to go
We were out for our end of year staff party
Gave options for everyone to eat
S.
Lots of food options and standard wait times. Would be 5 stars if there was more seating. Also can be challenging to find parking without being ripped off by Wilsons.
