Orange light protocol followed correctly. A lovely meal with friendly staff. Nice atmosphere.

Nice meal but the process to get into the place was awkward. We were asked for our Covid passes, no problem with that. Then for ID to prove the Covid pass was ours and then asked to remove our masks so the lady could check we were us. A bit ridiculous when masks are supposed to protect us.

Free steak and dessert for the VIP The steak is much more better than other place. Dessert was a surprise. The only thing was the banana smoothie took so long, the waitress served the drink after all the food. Overall, fair enough.

Had the $18 Thai Beef Salad Delicious. Sent compliments to the Chef before realising there was minimum beef. Our waitress was delightfull Exceptional Service and lovely surroundings.Only for the beef I would have given 5 stars as the dressing was delicious

Set within an elegant hotel this is New Zealand nicest casino. If you want the full experience then this is the one to pick. It's the only one where you can lose your money (or otherwise) in a nice location. Note: I did work here when it opened, but I have worked on two others in NZ and this is the best.

The difficulty of taking my friend out to eat is that she can cook better than Gordon Ramsay and many others. Compliments to the lunch chef today, Tuesday. If you are young consider the multiple options ahead of you. If your retiring gradually, you have chosen very well. The steak was perfectly cooked just as I asked for it. A touch on the rare side of medium/rare. It melted in my toothless mouth. Divine, though the sauce needed a little bacon or something. The steamed vegetables were cooked to perfection. The chips were the best I've tasted in Dunedin in a very long time. Thank you it was a pleasure to eat your food. I admit I was wondering when there would be a call to the pokies or some gambling, but it never came. I could see some machines but couldn't hear them. This added to the pleasure of the meal. We will be back.

We visited the Casino and spent our allocated money within 10 minutes - not good luck that night. However, we decided to stay and have a drink anyway. The building where the casino is located is brilliant and worth a visit just to see it.

Located on the second floor next to the scenic Southern Cross hotel. The casino is quite small, not very spacious inside, machines are lined up very closely, with narrow wide walk ways. Tickets can be printed out from the machines and be paid out by cash down dispenser.

Eating at the casino is a pleasant experience ... it is all about marketing. Tasty food, a couple of wines and then off to the lure of the pokies. Plenty of special restaurant promotions and deals on offer. There are even finger food options for those who cannot leave their lucky machine but the restaurant menu and setting provide a far more relaxing dining option.

I thought the food was average and the service was less than average. I found the staff were not very attentive and were unavailable to ask for water. I had to go looking for it. Then when time to pay I also had to find someone who was available. No one came to check in during my meal which in this case would have been good.

The spirit of the cassino wasn't as exciting as it should be, they need to review the menu as it is not sensibly arranged,food was good & reasonably priced ,the last time we went I won $30 in ten minutes, but this time was the reversal ,THE HOUSE ALWAYS WINS .

Great safe place to go out for a drink or meal. You don't have to gamble to visit here. Our last visit was with friends for coffee, which was great.

Standard small casino, plenty of gaming and not much else. Small bar and kitchen if you want to sit somewhere beside a poker machine. Few table games available and free baggage check.
