Reviews of Mayfair Theatre
Very good place to go watch a concert nice and warm the chairs are comfortable and good place to go
Had an absolute Ball the Rock to Motown concert was the best. 😁
Great intimate theatre. Seats surprisingly comfortable. Last saw Chopper doing comedy. Perfect venue for stand-up, theatre and bands.
Great place, great show. Lovely and warm.
A wonderful theatre to be in. Great to have a theater of this size to hold different local shows in. We went to the Scout and Guide Gangshow.
Nice wee theatre. Needs a better ticketing option when hosting large events, I went to see Heath Franklin and it was advertised to pick up tickets from the theatre, they don't have a ticketing office. After much confusion the promoter sorted it out.
Lovely asset for Dunedin. Well kept theatre. Great size. Lovely volunteers.
Gang Show Mayhem at the Museum put on by the Scouts. Fab show. Definitely would go again
No eftpos facilities so bring cash. An old, moldy, smelly, and thoroughly unpleasant theatre to be in for any length of time.
Mayfair theatre is ornate. Only fault is toilets too small.
Everyone gets a great view of the stage and it is a small, intimate theatre. Saw Gang Shoe which everyone should see! Fabulous stage.
A really wonderful experience.
A top class play and a venue which is a hidden gem.
It is a good theatre a bit old and cold though
The Mikado was awesome! Well done! The theater is tired and needs some maintenance. It was cold!
Beautiful theatre that doesn't get enough love. Has some great shows and is really a piece of art
Attended the Mikado by Otago Opera. Huge fun. You may want to wrap up warm when going if you go in winter.
All it just need is cleaning there.
Comfy seats. Good wine and beer prices
Authentic theatre experience. Support them, so they can carry on.
A magnificent taste of early theatre in New Zealand, previously was a cinema until 1966, and then converted into live theatre venue .
There needs to be more shows held here, a lovely wee theatre
Beautiful old building. The sound in there for a show is perfect. This place is a must keep for Dunedin history
100 years in 2016, seat just over 400, managed by the Mayfair Theatre Trust with a full time Manager and volunteers.
I have both performed and been the audience of this great wee theatre.....I highly recomend to all
This is a beautiful theatre. I have been to shows over the years
An amazing old building of yesteryear architecture, fabulous sculpted walks and ceilings from a bygone era, nice :)
