The customer service team offered us an upgraded model at no extra cost and we had it in the week. Quick responses from them and an incredibly satisfactory outcome for us. Would highly recommend!

M.With Hamilton in Level 3 and no in-store shopping, I rang them late in the day to see if they have the Samsung fridge we wanted. Spoke to a nice young lady (sorry forgot her name) who still gladly helped even though they were about to close. She found my fridge, sorted my payment plan, answered my queries, arranged delivery, -- all these within 10 minutes, very efficient & no nonsense. Fridge was in my house 2 days later. This was completely different from the horrible experience I had with Heathcote The Base. Would definitely shop here again. 👍
l.Dealt with 2 sets of people. The air con people were amazing. 6+ stars for exceptionally great service and clear communication. Saved my opinion of this shop. Know their job, good recommendations for equipment. Delivery and installation quick and fast.
The fridge people i only give 3 stars to. Well they're great instore so I bought a fridge and they said they'd contact me tuesday or wednesday about delivery...that didn't happen. I rang about 5 times finally and the calls kept getting dropped so I called another store and they transferred me to delivery who said they'd call saturday about delivery...nope still waiting. Communication systems need a lot of work.
Update: yes fridge was delivered i rang back delivery on Saturday and they told me it had been booked! Would have been better if i hadnt had to chase people. But thanks.

R.After running around half of Hamilton to find JBL LIVE 400BT headphones in red, I headed down to Heathcotes for a look around. Sadly, the pair I wanted wasn't in stock - as they were sold out at virtually every other store in town - but Connor was extremely helpful and positive. Connor helped look around the store, in the stock pages, looked at availability in the whole country, and even had a look at other stores to help me find the pair I was looking for. Connor was fantastic and easy to talk to. Even though I didn't buy the headphones in the end, I truly appreciate Connor and everything he did. Top notch sales member right there!

We replaced our kettle with another Russell Hobbs (best spout for a controlled pour).
a.I purchased a Beef Eater BBQ from Heathcote's and unfortunately with Covid there was a massive holdup with the supplier. Heathcote's were amazing keeping me updated and doing all they could to remedy the situation. Which they did in the end. WE now have a BBQ for this summer... the supplier was giving a ETA of FEB22 next year! All retailers in NZ were having the same supply issue with this model BBQ. Heathcotes sorted it and to top it off they were selling the BBQ cheaper than any other retailer in NZ. Thanks Heathcotes and James G the category manager!
J.Went to the Base Heathcotes stood at the display for 25 minutes and nobody helped so I left and went to Tristram street where I was greeted by Avee or Avi a nice,helpful and knowledgeable young Indian man who's customer service skills were of the highest professional quality.Avee and Tristram street Heathcotes 6 stars out of 5.The Base Heathcotes a big fat 0.

B.Communication was prompt and my purchase arrived well packed and quickly. I would buy from Heathcotes again and would recommend them. I was pleased to support a small NZ business rather than one of the big chains and the price was comparable.
J.A bit disappointing. I was in the shop for just over 15mins looking at home theater and wasn't approached by a single salesperson. I was ready to buy but as no one came to help so I decided to go away and think about it. There was hardly any other customers in the shop and plenty of staff talking amongst themselves. They have a great range of options though. I just wanted to check it out first and ask a couple of questions. Will shop around and go online instead. If I decide I really do want it, I could go online and buy from whoever offers the best deal. Heathcote's are usually really good at helping and staff are quite knowledgeable when asked. Pity.
Note: A follow-up to this review. I was phoned within hours of posting this and was apologized to for not being looked after. A personal meeting was offered along with any assistance required. That is more like the high level of service normally encountered at Heathcote's. Well done guys. I'll be back. Not many places will normally make this kind of effort.

R.We had a new heat pump installed by Andy and Mark from Heathcotes in Hamilton, and were very pleased with the way they carried out the work. It wasn't an easy job, because it was replacing an old heatpump, but they worked away efficiently and sorted any problems that arose. We were very impressed with them and their workmanship .

C.Absolutely brilliant service by the Service Department at Heathcotes. Had problems with a Vintec Wine Fridge, rang Heathcotes and a technician's visit was booked in within a two hour time slot, on the day the technician called ahead to let me know when he expected to be there and arrived right on time. Patrick was really friendly, informative and knowledgeable and knew straightaway what the problem was. The fridge had to be taken away to be repaired, he took great care getting it in and out so no damage was caused to the floor or kitchen. They followed up on the warranty so I didn't have to worry about that. Heathcotes really is our one-stop shop for all our appliances servicing.

R.I thoroughly recommend Heathcote Appliances. My experience was during the L4 lockdown period, and every aspect of their service was perfect.
This began on the phone with a clear and accurate description of what was possible. I was told exactly when they were delivering to Auckland, what their stock levels were and how much it would cost. So I could make an instant decision about what to do. And all this was done in a pleasant and helpful manner.
Then everything occurred exactly as described. Not only that, but the pleasant and helpful approach was consistent throughout. This included the great delivery men, who called in advance as promised. Nothing was too difficult and every effort was made to make the whole process run as smooth as silk.
I should mention the quality of the appliance was exceedingly high. In this case a chest freezer.
Buy your next appliance from Heathcote with the confidence you deserve. Don't get lost in mass orders with faceless organisations. Instead do it the traditional kiwi way. After all, kiwis look after each other!

J.All I can say is wow: I really wanted to get a new Denon AV to my home asap. I got chatting with Jayden, who is one of the experts when it comes to these sorts of products and his customer service was ridiculously good. He took my order over the phone and, although cautioning there were no guarantees, said he'd try and get it down to me with the next courier (which was to leave about 10 minutes after my order).
Not only did he get it all boxed properly but he got it included with the next pickup and I had it in my hands the next morning by 9:30am. What a legend. Super happy with Jayden and Heathcotes.
M.Bought Braun 9290cc online from Heathcote Appliances. Customer experience is amazing. I have emailed a question and got a reply within an hour (didn't expect such a prompt answer). Shipping from Hamilton to Auckland was fast as well. The item came undamaged. The quality of the product I got was top notch. A.Went to buy a toaster. Got a standard greeting from a semi interested sales rep. But had to help myself to pull a boxed toaster off the shelf. Ignored by staff as I made my way to the counter. Got noticed by a cashier and eventually served. A greeting from the manager acknowledged my existence. Clearly I wasn't buying something over $1000 so just a simple basic service. Average.
G.Excellent service......met our specifications for 2 laptops (Acer)and gave us a worthwhile discount for the laptops, carry bags and software. Replaced one faulty laptop (continually rebooted on power up) later the same day, no questions asked.

Went in to look at a tv I was interested in, the staff had no problem with me putting a USB stick in the back and playing some videos and generally testing the tv out.
They offered to hold it for me while I went away and did some final research on it, gave them a call back later that day and by the time I came back they had it ready waiting by the door for me.

T.For a "Big Box" store they are pretty good. They have plenty of good brands/models, not just the cheaper "always on sale" stuff (altho they DO periodically have good stuff at good prices). Good access and plenty of parking, plus staff that don't rush to sell you the latest prettiest wizz-bang gizmo.

The best part was there was a small issue with the product (outside of the control of Heathcotes) which they immediately sorted with the supplier for me. Great experience and I will be back. C.I visited another Heathcote store in the area looking for a particular device, but they were out of stock and didn't even bother to look it up to see if any of there other stores had it. This Heathcote branch went above and beyond, they were out of stock as well but they tracked down the last unit they had for me, thumbs up guys.
