Loop walk through tunnel excellent. Shady park. Shady carpark too. Toilets. 25 birds species can be seen or heard here including uncommon natives.

Great spot surrounded by nature, carpark or grass parking, toilets, showers, laundry, cook tops and washing sinks. Don't forget to purchase a kiwicamp cash tag before arriving.

Love the Te Rerenga Trail walk so pretty through the forest around 4km or so takes about an hour or so. recommended great for mountain biking Tect park also - @charmainenzl instagram

Went here for freedom camping in January. Excellent, well maintained facilities. Minimal mosquitos as far as camp sites go. However there are some large bugs that hang around the kitchen and can be found inside the toilet. Really enjoyed the stay, would recommend.

Great place for freedom camping. Quiet and surrounded by pine trees. Kiwi camp facilities available if you have a kiwi card - showers, washing machine and dryer, cook tops, sinks with hot water and a power point to charge devices. Walk and bike tracks

This is only a review of Te Rerenga tunnel track at TECT park, not of all the adrenaline activities you can do there. The track is a nice trek into the forest once you get past all the dead land where all the trees have been cut down. Plenty of photo opportunities of the fauna snd different flowers etc. The signs say it's an easy track, but i wouldn't be taking my elderly parents as there are plenty of stairs and uneven ground. But for a young family and a place to wear the children out, this is a great place to go. Not too far from Tauranga city, it's a change from heading to The Mount on the weekend. There's toilets and a BBQ area for a sizzle up after the 3 kilometre walk. If you're after more adrenaline, hit the commando course or slide a rally car around a dirt track nearby

What a great investment by TECT. Various outdoor bike/walking bush tracks. Superb toilet shower facilities, common kitchen and freedom camping spot. Beautifully maintained.

So much to do here! We love the Te Rerenga Tunnel Track. Kid friendly and dog friendly (must keep on a lead and take your own poop bags!). There is a place to stop and have a picnic if you wanted. At the begining of the track there are toilets. It could be cold and wet during winter and some parts are slippery after rain. Take a torch or have your phone as extra light in the tunnel - can be hard to see im at times, however if you can see with out the extra light then look up and you will see glow worms (about 1/2 way through) 🙄

Went with my daughter today to Adrenaline Forest Park. Didn't know it was part of TECT so drove straight past. But other than that, amazing. And seeing all the other adventures to be enjoyed, we will be back. Loved our making like monkeys and watching others. I got cheek cramps from laughing so hard and leaking eyes. Great staff. No climbers freaked out while I was there, you just climb to your limit. Love how each level touches down before going to the next stage. Had a break and then off for 1 more.

The loop walk is awesome. The kids were nervous with the tunnel but made it an adventure. Such an awesome place

Beautiful, spacious, about 20 sites available. There were about 16 campers there all night, so not full. Loved the 2.7 k tunnel trail, we saw glow worms in the tunnel!

Amazing tracks. Stunning veiws. Native fauna, natives,birds, n insects. Very educational for children.

Went for a walk to visit the glow worms with the grandies.. Very enjoyable..

Nice area for parking caravan, camping. Has excellent toilet, shower,laundry and cooking area. As location is quite remote a dump station would be good. 2nights for camping could be longer. Very clean & tidy.

The tunnel walk is fantastic for families its 2.5 kms loop track with a well maintained track ( not pram friendly) there are a few stairs and a shortcut to get back sooner option. We saw giant cave wetas , walked through a dark tunnel and the scenery is stunning.

Good place to stop for toilet break when traveling

The mountain bike tracks here are good. Shortest being 1.5km and the longest 9km. Tracks are well sign posted. Undulating and twistie trails through newly planted pine. The shorter trails are good for beginners to intermediate, the long trail is more for the advanced rider. The tracks aren't super groomed and can be a bit technical, which by no means is a bad thing. Highly recommend.

Love it... So natural and our most tranquil environment destination to getting away from our gadgets, mobile or even social media so we can feel how blessed, grateful and awesome GOD that we are witnessing plenty of living and beautiful creatures so we can enjoy HIS goodness and blesssings🙏

Awesome 👌 place to stay freedom camping 🏕

Quite a stunning area / surroundings. Caters for an abundance of activities for the thrill seekers or also provides a sanctuary of connecting with nature for the resters & relaxers. Highly recommend those passing by on Highway 36 in between Rotorua & Pyers Pa to swing on in. You won't be disappointed.

This park is huge with so many different activity options. Motor sports are kept to one side of the main road so the East side is quieter and includes tracks for walking, horses and mountain bikes. We wet on the Te Rerenga Tunnel walk which took about 1 hour and went through a range of forest. At one point we were so low in a valley following a stream that it seemed like dusk had fallen. The tunnel is cool and historic.

The dog park was huge, fully fenced, had an agility course, water and pick up facilities. And the tunnel walk was a great little wander. This is an excellent spot to park up for a picnic and have some fun!

On the way back from Tauranga to Rotorua, the Climbing Trees were great & Camping for overnight stayers. The Toilets we VERY Clean & tidy very surprised about this hidden location We extremely would recommend the overnight stay there Camping Free Sites & Even Freedom camping Free overnight Stays.

Went mountain biking when we turn up in car park very little signage were tracks were and how long they were found a good track after asking a ranger about what ones would be suitable for kids

It's a awsome experience and good quality first hand experience trainers to teach and show you how things are done with 4x4 training try it out you'll love it they have bbqs there to cook your food aswel you can even take your family there for other fun aswel

Really let down by the mountain bike tracks, I appreciate it's low season but the Tauranga high school for boys trail was so overgrown, puncture central. We didn't really find Buffalo girl much fun either. Nice walking trail loop to the tunnel and sweet freedom camping spot. Other activities probably great in the summer when open.

Awesome place to ride motorbikes of all sizes

Really cool place to go and spend all day, half a day or even a few days. Horse riding, off road trails, walking tracks and cycle trails, all for free. Plenty of parking and clean toilets.

Great area catering for an array of activities from walking and horse riding on one side and motor sports on the other.

Absolutely brilliant facility. I'm sure everyone will find something of interest here.

Took my dog too the dog park she loved it

Great walking trails for the whole family. Even our 2 year old walked the 3.5km tunnel track.

Found this place by chance and camped out absolutely brilliant idea even if it's still somewhat being constructed. Definitely coming back with the bikes!

Top Track

Good to spend a night there. It has hot BBQ, Toilet, water, but no dump station.

Good place for camping seems quiet and secluded and has plenty of space for a gathering of people.
