T.Just a fantastic place to walk around . We spent 2hrs walking around unbelievable amount of trees, shrubs , ferns and flowers. 75 acres of land in total. 11hrs to mow the lawns, tractor with twin mowers . Closer to the buildings you have guinea fowles, golden pheasant , doves , 1 ostrich and black and white turkeys.

A.this private garden reminds me of Bush Garden in Victoria Island. The owner is a couple of 91 and 78 years old. It is free. We get recommendation frim Gore visit center, and it is on our way to Curio Bay. We spent over an hour there and also talked to the owners.

D.I was absolutely stunned by the scale of this garden and the many man-made lakes it has. I nearly got lost in it as I couldn't find my way back to the car-park by 5:00pm. I recommend you have a map with you when visiting :-)

J.This truly is a stunning garden and a must see if horticulture is your passion. The opening view of the garden from the house is breathtaking, a perfect mixture of perennials and shrubbery used to great effect to create a tapestry of colour across the gulley. Further down the planting becomes more lushous, with marginal and aquatic planting schemes around the ponds. What is more remarkable is that this vast garden is maintained by only a handful of gardeners, and it is being constantly expanded. The birds in the aviary are nice to see too and the potting shed is a sight to behold. Allow a full day to explore the grounds at a gentle pace, it can't be rushed.
T.This place is a hidden gem! It initally looks like a small garden but it's HUGE once you continue past the first bit of ponds. There was no one there when we visited, it was a lovely peaceful experience. There were lots of ponds for the many ducks and swans! The funny ostrich is definitely grumpy. Make sure to leave a donation :)
p.We moved to Southland about 12 months ago and have been to Maple Glen a few times already. It is amazing how the garden changes colour with the changing of the season. It is a nice place to get away and find some peace and quiet amongst nature.
P.Stunning location and layout, pure artistry. Best garden I have ever seen - and its free!!! Absolute must visit. We visited in November and the Azaleas were in full bloom an amazing display. PS: Don't miss the Aviary!

T.An amazing private park that has been curated for 45 years by the same family. Entrance is free, but donations are welcome. There are no proper paths, so wheelchair access is probably not recommended.
