Such a lovely Park in Invercargill. It has a bit if everything for everyone. Playground for the kids, including water play. Animal enclosure has animals to see for free. Different themed gardens, a cafe and even has a golf course. These a bit of culture to learn about as well

Great park with lovely different gardens, Japanese garden glasshouse, lovely walkways playground and sculptures. Loved the stupery section

One of the most beautiful parks I've been to in NZ. Such a refreshing and peaceful place to go to.

Queens Park... Always beautiful at any time of year but especially nice when enjoying fish and chips and the company of the local birdlife.

Awesome place for everyone. Beautiful gardens for wandering around. Kids playground is fantastic especially with the pool, and different sprinklers. Being a visitor and first timer to Invercargill it was a beautiful hot day and very impressed.

Enjoyed my walk around this lovely park. Lots of lovely trees, bushes, ponds, and flowers including a lovely Rose Garden.

Lovely park so much to see will have to return as we didn't get around the animals only the roses and some of the trees.

Beautiful Park. Lots of botanical variety with a mini zoo, golf course, rose garden, wonderful bird aviary, and massive gardens and park to enjoy outdoor walking and recreation. Great kids play park.

Loved our wander around the animals and plants. Great place to visit and spend time there. Perfect for all age groups.

Go there already, it's beautiful and has loads of great walking tracks, not to mention the rose gardens, frisbee golf, golf course, playgrounds, band rotunda, fountains, Fieldwick Gates, duck pond, rock garden, japanese garden, mini zoo, castle(for kids), and don't forget the parkrun at 8am in the summer and 9am in the winter every Saturday.

I didn't get to see a lot of the birds when I as but was funny when I lady who was randomly walking around with her coloured parrot in an open backpack was talking to the caged parrot. Would like to have seen more birds but might have been hiding or taken indoors for the holidays. The enclosed aviary was fun and short. Great free thing to do with the kids. I am sure it is not open 24 hours though, think its 8.30am - 4.30pm

A must visit, make sure you have at least 2 hours to roam.

Children and adults all love it, so much variety from fitness to playtime to chilling out.

Cute place with a walk in cage. Some birds are hard to see but a lenghty description is written outside each cage. Additionaly, there are kids-targeted questions on each panel.

This is more than your typical park. The park is a variety of everything you could ask for entertainment, relaxation and good time. Everything seems well taken care of including the animals. The only thing I was concerned were the turtles. Strongly believe they should have a bigger place to swim on.

Beautiful park in the Southern city of water and light. Have loved it from my childhood and now share it with my children.

A must see for all those who visit Invercargill. It's a beautiful and we'll maintained park with something for all ages. Wonderful bike and running tracks, with outside exercise equipment along the way, a massive children's playground with a splash area (open in the warmer months), ponds filled with ducks, an aviary, an animal reserve, as well as plenty of plants and statues to look at. It also has a café in it called the Cheeky Llama which is well worth the visit. You may find some hidden rocks or books along the trails too.

Walks, bike rides, frisby golf, playgroup, cafe, animal park and more!! We go there all the time with the kids for a day or just a few hours, great place!

I have had lots of visitors to Invercargill take a walk through Queens Park with everyone of them appreciating the park and what it has to offer. It never seams to disappoint, they all find something for their enjoyment. Currently the rose 🌹 gardens are of great pleasure.

Best park in the South Island

Nice family park and has a well presented playground for children of all ages. Has Tea rooms for public to grab a quick drink or sit and have something more substantial, also has public toilet's in the same building. Queens Park is a large area of land with a Golf course, many well presented unique garden's and often see public out enjoying the amenities, within gentle walking distance to Invercargill's town centre. Flat going for wheelchair users with mobility parking.

Great park in the middle of town and has a full 18 hole golf course incorporated into it. Great walking tracks and activities to Do along the way.

Big park with lots of animals! Saw kangaroos, peacock and llamas😂 i like the cafe inside the park too. Love the healthy options!

Beautiful all year round

A very nice golf course. Ashamed the worms had a field day with the greens so left there trade mark worm hills everywhere on the green. Good excuse when I missed a putt.

This is an amazing Park. It has a Children's playground and a Kiosk where you can get a hot or cold drink and very reasonably priced meal or snacks. The Council Staff do an amazing job maintaining it. It has live animals and birds from many different places. It also has many good walks for all different levels of ability. It features a Band Rotunda in the centre where different events are held. Right at one end is the Old Museum where a lot of Tuatara's live. It also has several water features and a lot of ducks. At one end there is a bowling green, croquet and also a very nice cricket ground where both club and representative matches are played. It also has a full 18 hole golf course. This would have to rank as one of the most versatile and top park's in New Zealand. At the other and of the Park Waihopai Primary School and Southland Boys High are located.

The most beautiful park..lots of animals to see and great play area for the kids.

My kids love bringing a loaf of bread to feed the ducks, and the scooters to explore this amazing park. When the weather is nice it’s beautiful

It's an amazing green space that never dissapoints. Such an awesome asset to have these beautiful gardens. Try out the Disc Golf course it's free to use and the Herbert Street Dairy can hire you the Discs to play.

I have been coming to Queens Park for two years now and I still keep on finding places I haven't been to before. The grounds are brilliantly maintained. There is something here for everyone. Kids love the play park especially on warm days in summer when they can play in the water. Very special place.

Great Park, clean and full of flowers and trees. There is a little zoo for kids and a japanese garden, a Rose garden, a big golf and cricket court.

After 20 odd years of not visit there I was impressed with the swing for mummy and bubby. A grandma and her beautiful granddaughter were enjoying a swing. The collection of animals for everyone to enjoy in. The gardens were looking very well groomed.

Always a good bike ride through the park, a recent picnic by the animals in the sun, many times in fact in different areas of the park.

Love it here, it's so peaceful, pretty, and plenty of walks

Always interesting to visit the birds, the cockatoo is very friendly and talks. Weka's very funny looking for fish in the drinking bowl. Interesting wander through the big enclosure. Pleasant to just sit in the sun and absorb the peace with the birds chattering in the background

New Zealand’s unique birdlife can be observed at close quarters in the Queens Park aviary. The innovative municipal facility was opened in 1998. The aviary is home to a wide range of native and exotic birds. It has been designed to provide the ideal habitat for each species of bird, with the setting made as natural as possible. The entrance to the aviary is via bridge over a pond and the surrounding area is being developed into a wetlands habitat. Aviary features include a large open flight with a public walkway so people can view a variety of birds at close range.
