K.Do not go with only 10 minutes to spare! Staff are lovely but they are slow! It takes forever to get through the que. I was waiting 20 minutes with only four couples in front of me... Having said that it's a clean and nice theatre and that's what you really want.
M.We went to see Dune. Good movie but the seats were beginning to get uncomfortable towards the end. A good choice of nibbles but their drink machine had broken down before our visit so all we could get was water. Their till system could not handle the change in circumstances, so it was a jolly expensive cup of water
C.The sound and picture quality was very good. The cinema was clean. Seats nice and comfortable and the other cinema goers were not rowdy. A really nice place to have an evening out or ... A date. Nice to have some good bonding time. Have already booked for Andre Rieu in December

Ticket purchase average. They need a quick service counter for tickets and icecream only. Having to wait for the popcorn eaters is painful.

E.The only one cinema in Invercargill. Comfortable place, clean area, professional staff, informative and fun. Small cinema but it is good enough. Please always update the new movie. Yesterday was my first experience watched movie in Invercargill. Cool n awesome. Maybe Reading Cinema can offer some promo such as discount, student card or els 😉
R.Excellent. I enjoyed watching a movie there because the theatre was not crowded at all. A ticket costs $12 and popcorns and drinks are available at the counter. Seats were clean and comfortable.

K.Comfortable seating, heaps of space but the volume was way too loud. I had my fingers in my ears for more than half the movie and I could still hear everything I needed. No other issues apart from the volume.

C.Really do like going to see a good flick. Pity what was advertised wasn't even playing and the place was closing up! Even showed on the display that the movie we wanted to watch was due in the next few minutes. But after enquiring apparently that was for tomorrow. Which was BS as it wasn't showing movies for morning/afternoon. However ended up going next day and got some seats. Nice one. Screens could do with a clean. They are grubby and it the marks are very noticeable ruining picture quality. Three stars is generous.
R.Good selection of movies . The cinemas are usually quite clean . It's an affordable day if you take your own food. The toilets could use a proper clean they have been quite dirty amd smelly the last few times I have been recently.
M.Look forward to the new look once the mall is built. The theatres are tidy however I do think there could be improvement in picture due to some marks either on the screen or projector which is not hard to miss. Also maybe an improvement in the entry to the theatres feel like without someone checking the tickets and I'm a paying customer anyone could walk in without paying. If this changes I would improve my stars. Overall good.
M.Excellent experience, the audio quality and acoustics of the theatre especially with horror are simply stellar, no home experience could compete. Also love that they stock the Pepsi range instead of Coke. Mountain Dew on tap is thirst quenching like nothing else especially coupled with nice hot popcorn.

N.Clean but a bit smelly from all the people in the session before us. Nice n warm on a cold night. Popcorn too salty, can take your own food in though. On street parking only.
T.Not a bad experience, kids enjoyed the move. I could hear the base through the walls from a theatre next to us which was a bit distracting at times. Wasn't all the time, just when the action took place in the other movie.
H.My only local to watch the latest flicks. Great to see they have added seat allocation. To be honest, the only flicks I go see are Marvel Studio's movies and always have a ball, mainly due to the movie. I do know from past experience the 3D here isn't great so stick with 2D. Though 3D is a bit old now right?
Seat to recommend? Have to be the tilted front row seats in cinema 2-5, avoid front row at all costs in cinemas 1. Eco friendly straws is a plus!

R.My local, always a great screen and audio experience. I often do not buy their refreshments etc from their candy bar due to their normally high pricing. I would if it was competative and readonable, so I bring my own, but would gladly buy theirs if they seriously addressed this issue. They would quadruple their turnover at the candy bar if they lowered there prices and I don't believe I'm alone in my thinking on this subject. Apart from that, staff are friendly and efficient. But their definately needs to be a counter for just ticket buyers only that don't use the online option and don't buy from their candy bar, this would be nice. And just about forgot your seats need santitised and cleaned more frequently as there is a distinctive smell of pee/urine in some sections of the seating areas where people have got too excited or got caught out and left their bladder callings too long.

B.Great cinema, lovely staff but could do little things to improve like offer more food options, have separate counters for food and tickets and put the lights on in the cinema when ur going into see the movie. No fun trying not to trip on the steps when the cinema is in complete darkness.
V.Enjoyed King Kong vs Godzilla but man it's expensive with tickets and popcorn plus drinks , probably too pricey for average families
R.Being the only cinema in Invercargill, they still provide the city with the latest movies in the 5 comfortable viewing rooms. The sound is incredible, with the Dolby system letting the viewer listen to everything from every direction. It is disappointing that there are quite a number of Ads prior to the beginning of the movie. It is also worth noting that the prices are varied in opinion, as discounts for loyalty programs etc can be used.
G.It's a great place to watch and meet up with people and all that sort of stuff except for the fact that the food there is really expensive and they dont let you bring your own snacks from other shops which should be possible. Most people just sneak food in there pockets like me
J.Great place for movie lovers! Cool fantastic and friendly staff. They also have great promotions and events! Suggestions if they can add more food choices apart from popcorn and lollies and drinks.

s.Im a regular customer here and the staff are really nice and friendly and they know exactly what I want when I go to the candy bar. Nice theatres with comfy seats and always tidy when you go in.
D.Average. Sometimes lack of certain popcorn box size so they can't do combo.(ends up costing more, expensive anyway) no kids movies on a lot of the time (even in school holidays) staff are friendly and helpful.

U.I go to Reading Cinemas often, and let me say, that they have become better. Reduced prices for tickets means that more people want to see things, and Reading Cinemas offers a wide variety of content, along with their 5 theaters. My favourite one would have to be the Dolby Digital theatre, with its reduced number of seats making for a more intimate experience. If I have a few complaints, they are that the preshow usually goes on for far too long (Ready Player One had 10 minutes' worth), and the toilets aren't checked as often as I would like them to be. Apart from that, I will definitely be coming back here for many years to come.
