Should be a 5star. We stayed up here in our caravan (it is a listed freedom camping spot) so we could wake up and do the Lindeman Loop track. Amazing view. Amazing walk. Rubbish and hoons = no 5star. Lets just say we’re happy our staff let out a couple of woofs. Spent half an hour picking up rubbish. If u do the walk, be sure to take some time to find the blue mushrooms- they’re out of this world. Certain there must be smurfs closeby…..

We stayed there in our van over night. Very nice spot with a great view over the bay.

Clear day with excellent views over the Bay. Easy parking and Bush walks well marked. Bit of tree scrambling over fallen trees on track. Toilets functioning but in need of some cleaning.

Hiked the loop trail. Some stunning forest with at least a dozen waterfalls. This trail requires good shoes and fitness level.

Beautiful Bay of Plenty vistas! Also an entrance point to hiking trails in the Kaimai Ranges.

Fine weather lookout. Less appeal in cloudy rainy conditions.

Nice drive up and a good surround view only let down was all the rubbish dumped in the bush mainly cans from the drinkers who go up there but also other kinds of rubbish. They allow freedom camping up there which probably doesn't help. It is worth tour time to go there for the view and to listen to the birds.

Amazing views, great Bush walk, parking not great for freedom camping. Public toilets.

Beautiful lookout that gives expansive views of the entire bay. I took photos, my kid got attacked by a overzealous road chicken, and then we went for a little walk into the reserve. Nice place, 10/10 would go back, but with a bucket of KFC to establish dominance.

Beautifull on a clear day alows three days of freedom camp best views on clear fine days of the larger b.o.p region.

From here you can view across the eastern shores. Don't linger too long because the scene can soak in and gather you in to the company of the free spirited. You will fly and visit the ancients as you draw in the crisp clean air and ponder the passing ages which had shaped the land. Beautiful.

Top notch view and not too far out of katikati. If you've got a few hours on your hands walk the Lindemann loop track. Definitely recommend going up the pack track and down the ridge track unless you are keen for an hour long uphill slog. Views on the track aren't really any better than the lookout you can drive too.

Close views of local countryside as far as the eye can see. In the distance the mount with passenger ships arriving and leaving. Nearby Tuis in the trees A restful place.

First time to this point. Lovely views but could do with little bit of information about area.

Very well maintained track Well signposted. With two stops it took four and a half hours

Looking a bit tired. Visited on a wet day and the decking and wood structures are slippery. Nearby public toilets were blocked but otherwise clean. No view on a wet day.

The rubbish 🗑 bin was over Loaded. But air fresh. Amazing

A cul-de-sac at the end of the road. Some walks available and a look out of the Tauranga harbor.enough parking for camper vans.great if you want some time away from town.
