M. W.Although the reserve may look exposed it is possible to do a nice walk around the point either on the sand or under some huge old oaks. There is a nice horse riding track. The car park allows 3 days of parking for self-contained caravans and motorhomes. There are lots of small pohutukawa tress lining the approach which were stunning. There is lots of grassy reserve to enjoy.
M. N. S.Top spot. Great scenery and easy shore walks. Lots of bird life. Not over populated and well maintained amenities. Very peaceful.

T. L.Very popular free campsite with beach access and clean amenities. Beautiful location good fishing at low tide in the channels

R. C.An awesome place to take dogs to frolic on the beach and in the water. Lots of rabbit poo for the discerning labrador. Pretty quiet in winter, and very tranquil. Worth making a trip if you are in the area.

N. S.Heaps of open grass space, long shore with white sand and crushed shells giving it a tropical feel. Tracks through the pines and fallen pines on the shore make for great adventures. Dogs off leads is something to note

M. W.This is a really lovely place to spend a few days. There were 18 vans here on Saturday night. The only issue I have is that there is only one rubbish bin and no recycling bin. Toilets are clean and well maintained.
B.Nice and peaceful stay, long parks for up to 9mtrs. Lovely views of estuary, and lots of people bring their horses along the beach, wonderful to see. A little piece of heaven.
