G.My new favorite place to ride. Awesome, well maintained and flowing single track. Most of the track is sheltered from the sun and is very well marked.
A.Its a must to do when you’re in Paihia, trail is been looked after and lots of trail options from beginners to advance,you can hire bikes/Ebike, shuttle bus friendly and helpful we haven’t used the shuttle but they help us to navigate. Definitely recommend the shuttle so you can enjoy the downhills. Nice cafe with great food to fill up your tommy or simply an ice cream and coffee after you finish your ride,very welcoming staff and lovely people.
M.An absolutely amazing bike park. So many trails from beginner to expert, even when the bike park is full you never run into anyone else on the trails because there are so many options. Beautiful scenery with the best bike hire and cafe available. Service, chat, food, drink all 10/10. Make sure it is on your list of things to experience in the bay of islands, you won't regret it!

J.We loved our first experience on the Waitangi MB Park. Such great rides and good variety of track. We loved the loop tracks with their clever doable uphills and long flowing downhill runs. Easy to spend 2 hours there no probs! We'll be back!
M.Cycling at the Mountain Bike Park 3-4 times a week. We are very lucky to have such a great facility on our doorstep. This afternoon I saw a Morepork other times wild pigs, peacocks, hedgehogs, its amazing, I can even cycle through the forest to Kerikeri! What’s stopping you?

J.Absolutely Awesome, some of the best purpose built Mountain Bike Trails I have ever ridden. We spent 3 hours riding in the morning and another 3 in the afternoon. Fav trails, Aotearoa, Magic Carpet and Rollercoaster. Even the climbing trails are beautifully crafted and great to ride!. Get up there Peeps and enjoy.
A.Great facilities with cafe and pump track. The tracks are varied and range from easy to very challenging. They are well formed and well maintained by the Mountain Bike Club. You must register with the club to ride. Well worth it.
G.The tracks are well maintained. The guys of the store are very helpful, they gave you tips to the tracks you might like. They have shuttle bus if you want to do downhill only. Highly recommend it if you have kids.

C.I admit I'm a bit spoilt for choice growing up in Wellington and was a little sceptical about how how good a park could be in a place with relatively little elevation change, but I couldn't have been more wrong.
Every trail I went on was immaculately maintained, clean and clearly signposted with both direction and name.
I took Holland Days, Hua Link and Taane's Climb up. That climb isn't difficult but even advanced racers would find it excellent for a speed climb. Then took Te Ara Kaanihi (intermediate) and Te Aranga Hou (advanced) down. Advanced might be pushing it for highly skilled riders but damn those jumps are amazingly well built.
There's something for everyone here, no doubt about it. Everyone with an interest in MTB needs to put the Waitangi Mountain Bike Park on their bucket list. You won't be disappointed.

J.So many fun trails! Good for beginners and wasnt many people when we went so had a lot of tracks to ourselves. Staff are so lovely to chat too, thanks for guiding my lost friend back over the phone haha 😂

T.Great work these trail builders have put into this, greatly surpassed what I had expected especially conditions for winter. Definitley has trails to get the adrenalin flowing. Allthough short on the down hill runs the design of the return uphill to these are easy. This park has a lot of fun rollers and several trails with good table top jumps. Place is well sign posted. Would suit all types of riders. Good place to learn jumps as it caters young kids to advanced riders.

B.Amazing trails, something for everyone. Great to finally ride somewhere in nz that is wet. The new mtb centre is almost open at the main car park, when it is this will rival rotorua as a premier mtb in the North Island imo.
R.What an absolutely amazing place to shred some awesome tracks. So many to choose from too. There is a cafe and the bikes hop run by the legendary Jonny. We'll over 50 Kms of adrenaline.
F.Awesome trails! Well set up park with lots of fun tracks (with Kunekune and waitangi roller coaster as firm favourites!). Would be nice to have a bike wash down station but otherwise an excellent mtb park

A.If you are a mountain biker, you cant not try this park if you are in the area! Trails are well maintained and more trails being built. A great variety of trails (although could have some more black trails). Some well designed tracks. Great signage which is perfect if you are new to the park. Take a map!

Cafe is a great spot for a refreshment before heading home.

N.Love it! Great trails, well signposted and with a good map, easily worth the annual donation or single day donation if you're just passing through. Great views from the small cafe for a post ride coffee too. The only thing it needs is a bottle refill tap and it would be perfect.
G.50km of Great trails. On par if not slighly better riding than woodhill. Def worth a visit for beginner and intermediate riders.

h.This relatively new bike park is awesome, it offers a great day out for the family or just a solo mission. The mechanic there is great! super friendly and helpful, I had an issue with my chain upon arrival and he fixed it straight away for me so I could go and enjoy my ride. The park is clay based so expect to get muddy and at certain times of the year the trails will be extremely slippery. However the novice trails are mostly covered in gravel so perfect for newbies and kids. Wish it had bike wash facilities but there only on tank water so can understand why there isn't.
k.Purchased a fulk sus bike off johny and some pedals, rode my first e-bike there today thanks johny for allow me to trial one very impressive . Our sons do the trails they are awesome so much time and effort has gone in always a great vibe when ever we go . Highly recomend this place .

K.Awesome. We love this park. We visited on a weekday recently and experienced uphill riding (4 times) but have previously always taken the shuttle to the top (weekends) and enjoyed some downhill riding. Buy the 10 ride card.. worth it!!

a.What a fantastic place to ride. Went as a family outing on boxing day. Awesome trails in a beautiful location. My 6 year old son had a blast.
The pump track is a lot of fun too. Will definitely return for more.

T.Great afternoon with the kids. We only did the basic 'green' trails, suitable for beginners. Great trails, well made. Sufficiently challenging for newbies to feel they accomplished something. The cafe provide simple food & a good range of drinks...perfect for after a ride.

T.If you’re looking for a great family day adventure, this is it. My first time today as a 61 yr old Mum with agile 15 yr old and Dad, as track veterans (well they’ve been once before)! I was a bit grumpy as family had built up undue worry re my fitness. Step in amazing friendly hire bike man (sorry didn’t ask his name) who provided me with e-bike and great instructions for riding that became instantly intuitive (he said it would). We did extensive Grade 2 tracks, which were challenging for me, especially series of moguls followed by downhill turns, but it was such a buzz. Such a beautiful serene place, apart from a noisey bull or 2 and long distant views over the Bay of Islands. Yes there’s an expense involved, but for us it was a really really cool day out. Staff so helpful with a happy buzz from trail riders. As Arnie said:- “I will be back”!
R.Loving this place. Only a novice started a handful of weeks ago. Found tracks to suit my level and working my way up to intermediate track toady. Park has great maps very easy to follow and is well sign posted all around the trails. Awesome bikes on hire at the park from Paihia Mountain bike rentals. Best rental bikes in the country. Coffee and good food at the cafe . An around great experience.

I.We were two confident mountain bikers and one fit-but-haven’t-ridden-for-years teenage tourist. Great rides. Easy options still provide variety and riding through cool pine plantations on a hot day is a bonus . Hard out trails available too. Compares very favorably to Woodhill bike park south of Helensville.

D.Didn't use the track myself but it has full facilities including bike and equipment hire, a shuttle bus in case you run out of puff, track grades from level 2 - 5, and even a mechanic for technucal issues.
M.Great adrenaline fuelled experience. However the trail difficulties I believe we're not adequately graded. The easy trails were definitely not as they described. Particularly in drenching rain.

G.Brilliant tracks notably Te Ara Kaanihi (very bumpy and fast paced), spectacular views, definelty worth going but the tracks aren't easy, you'll need good physical endurance to make the most of it. A downside is that once you ride a intermediate+ track you have to ride quite a substantial distance back to reach another track (most of them are located at one place)

Bicycle activities in Paihia may not be an option, but there is no such fun experience. The facilities are clean in the cafe and staff Johnny is very kind. 日本では絶対体験できない素晴らしいマウンテンバイクパークです。電動自転車を借りればさらに素敵な体験になること間違いなし。パイヒアで自転車のアクティビティーはあまり選択肢にないかもしれませんが、こんな楽しい体験はないです。設備もカフェ併設できれいですし、スタッフのジョニーさんはとっても親切。初心者～上級者まで1日本当に楽しめる所だと思います。

You can bring your own bike, or for NZ $ 79 dollars you can rent a bike with full suspension, and for NZ $ 129 an electric, which will help you enormously with cycling up in the park. You can also use a shuttle service to take you up again (for an additional payment). Park is brand new, super clear marked routes. Staff very friendly and helpful. Cafe present with delicious fresh smoothies, sandwiches, coffee etcetera. Don't have a car to get to the park? Give them a call, they want to pick you up from the center of Paihia! (Wifi available at the cafe, ask for the code!)

Aanrader! Prachtig aangelegd mountainbikepark. Voor alle niveaus is er enorm veel te vinden! Je kan je eigen bike meenemen, of voor NZ$79 dollar kan je een bike met full suspension huren, en voor NZ$129 een elektrische, die je enorm helpt met omhoog fietsen in het park. Ook kan je gebruik maken van een shuttleservice om je weer omhoog te brengen (tegen extra betaling). Park is gloednieuw, super duidelijke aangegeven routes. Personeel heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Cafeetje aanwezig met heerlijke verse smoothies, broodjes, koffie etcetera. Heb je geen auto om bij het park te komen? Bel ze even op, vanuit het centrum van Paihia willen ze je prima ophalen! (Wifi aanwezig bij het café, vraag even om de code!)
