D.Had a wonderful picnic lunch with my family beside the lakefront. There are a couple of tables beside the lake. The wind was gusty that day, but the view makes it all worth it. Would try to find another time to go to the spot for lunch again. This spot is a close 15 minutes drive from Wanaka town, so do come by if you are around Wanaka.
L.Gorgeous views, great place for a swim or to go for a walk. Different track options by foot or bike. Highly recommend the Hawea Esplanade ☀️

S.Always a beautiful spot to visit and enjoy. Has tables, seats and even a BBQ set up. Also has toilets available. Make sure you have some sandals or water shoes to make life easier when swimming and running around on the lakefront
B.An absolutely amazing day out with family and friends on a bluebird day at picturesque, stunning and peaceful Lake Hawea. Direct access from the reserve down a slope and plenty of room to take in the breathtaking vistas and have a great day skiing, biscuiting and picnicing.

D.Reserve itself is unimpressive but the setting and views are beautiful. Lovely quiet spot (at least when we visited midweek in November) and the lake water is incredibly clear.

Hermoso, para pasar el día entero... el agua es un poco fría pero si es un día de calor se aguanta muuy bien ... súper recomendable, también hay mesitas para poder comer...
