G. O.The quality of the projection and sound was quite good. The seats were comfy. Worth noting the seating is mostly level unlike stadium seating so you are looking up at the screen. Not a big gripe and after a while you don't notice. I would be back.
S. S.Compare to other theaters in Wellington, it's a decent place to watch movies. Sound system is decent, screen also good. Seats are comfy. But they are not reclining. Good cafe. The popcorn is good. Don't know about the parking.
B. C.Really Cool to be back at the old Hoyts 5. Pretty clear to see why the original cinemas shattered all those years ago, it's just totally outclassed by modern cinema complexes.
That said, Reading have done a marvelous job dragging this site into a more modern setting despite the limitations the site offers. Be prepared for some bleed through of sound from the neighbouring theatres, but otherwise a solid experience.

J. J.First time here. Seats are not uncomfortable but the cinema I was in seemed a little tired. Usual offerings from the kiosj. They could be a bit more clear that tickets bought online can also be collected at the terminals, not just the kiosk.

S. W.Maybe it's because i visited these cinemas as a teenager and they bring back fond memories, but I do enjoy the smaller theatre size. I find the waiting times to get tickets and good reasonable and the staff always friendly.

P.Wow! This place brings back memories. The place has changed a little. The layout still looks the same. 23 years its been since the last time i been here to watch a movie. I think the last movie i watched he4e was, The wedding singer lol. Still in good knick. Definitely weren't leather seats back then.

A. G. (.It’s great to see the old forgotten cinema brought back to life. We have to remember this is a temporary solution and should be judged accordingly.
Staff were friendly, cinema clean and the seats comfortable. The screens are not breaking any records and the candy bar similar to Reading in Wellington before it shut due to earthquake damage could use more variety.
Overall, for a pop-up business it’s fantastic and worth checking out.....even just for the nostalgia.
