Beautiful place, it holds a special place in my heart. Not overcrowded and great for fishing, pipi in estuary. Lovely playground.
S.Brief visit. Market Day. Wandered passed stalls. Noted fitness area and what looked like parking for freedom campers. Well maintained. Friendly locals. Great spot.

w.Great,was a bit stormy but my partner braved it and got some beautiful big exoetic type shells. Great fishing at the cut. Toilet needs fixing and servicing for the ladies esp. urgently otherwise 5☆.
a.Great place for very large gatherings, bbqs, playgrounds, beach to swim or gather kaimoana, lots of shady spots to picnic or relax, Surf club, Seaside cafe, Accommodation, Surf casting at one end about a hop skip and a jump or swim a little way from reserve, or a stone's throw for a heat busting ice block or a juice, milk, bread, butter or a Maketu pie from the Landing and the straight across the road to get the best fish and chips from Maketu Fish Shop...yup...I'm so exhausted...what a day.
D.To the council, thank you for improving the boat ramp, installing the cctv at the boat ramp parking and the free outdoor exercise equipment. Happy to pay rates when our money gets spent within our community
T.Fabulous park for preschoolers. Our mokopuna had a blast on all the playground equipment. They also loved running around in the big playing field beside the playground.
L.Has a great playground for the kids. Gym equipment facing the sea and also you can gather seafood. Beautiful

H.Beautiful setting to just kick back and watch the locals go about their day. The Pipi were small but there were a lot of them so with a bit of hard work and sifting you can get yourself a decent kai and sweet.
F.Great place for kids to play around. Good spots for the weekend picnic, rest, relax and soak up the sun. Awesome little cafe close by as well!
j.Brilliant. Idyllic. Watched the locals fishing at the entrance to the beach, far end north. Had maketu pie on main beach. Soo good.

M.Gr8 place to enjoy picnic, plenty of safe flat area to play team games. A wonderful play area for children. 2 BBQ & picnic tables under shady puhutukawa trees.

R.Great park for kids and to have lunch, nice and tidy and clean.
W.Out of the way but this is a clean, friendly park in sight of the ocean. Well-cared for children's play area and a great cafe in walking distance.
S.It has bbq area playground for kids ,public toilets outdoor shower close to inlet plenty room to play or just relax....

M.Its a great little place that should be more publicized, the Maketu market is always well worth the visit every third Sunday of the month
