Tranquil and serene. My wife and I were originally booked in for 8 nights but enjoyed our stay so much that we have decided to extend our stay for an extra 11 nights because we don't want to leave. The customer service is fantastic, the facilities are well maintained and the pricing reasonable for what you get. Honestly you can not base a trip to 'Tasman Motor Camp' on anyone else's experience except your own, which is why I highly recommend you coming to check it out for yourself. We'll definitely be back.

Fantastic and friendly, both Pete and Rebecca are easily the nicest campground owners I've met. Dog friendly, uncomplicated, sociable and fun, the whole campground reminded me of what campgrounds should be like! Our visit was like turning up at a family summer get-together. The small pool is perfect and well fenced, everyone and their dog was well behaved (beware: those that aren't are asked to leave very quickly, a decision supported by the other campers!), the kitchen and TV/pool lounges well stocked and always a buzz of activity. Our twice-extended stay co-incided with a Cocktails Evening, a free mini-concert with karaoke (go Clive & Daphney), classic car rides into the local town and dance nights, and made us forget the worries the world has produced - it's a bubble back in time to when people could really enjoy themselves with friendly, likeminded travellers and locals.

Fantastic camp. We have come back her for years. The owners go out of their way to make this a lovely relaxing place to stay. I bring my grandsons here as well and they thoroughly enjoy as well. Very quiet and family friendly

Where do I start....this camping ground is like none other...feels like a small resort rather than a camping ground. Facilities amazing always clean kitchens so we'll equipped... don't bother bringing any cooking gear as it's all there. Pizza oven, ovens, slow cookers, rice cookers, microwave, fridges freezer's for Africa. Such friendly helpful owner operators. Good value will certainly be back here 😉 Good Value

Magnificent grounds, highly recommend this campsite! New owners took over I think 2 years ago and have done a fantastic job of cleaning up and refurbishing the property. Facilities are A+ and the stay is definitively value for money. Long term tenants have great knowledge of the Tasman area but their knowledge of general pool rules are questionable :) but in all seriousness 6 stars with no hesitation, swimming pool definite bonus on hot days. Be sure to clean up your mess in the kitchen and bathrooms as you go and respect the great facilitates on offer.

We stayed here last year and loved it! Great facilities, all updated. Great for kids and dogs, pool tables, bbqs, heated swimming pool. Has hot showers and washing machines, all new. Would definitely come back and recommend to everyone. Lovely owners, relaxed vibe and great rates. Great location, just down the road from a couple beaches and Mapua village 5 minutes away and the Jester house cafe is just down the road. Definitely stop in, if you’re looking for somewhere to stay.

We loved staying here! What a fantastic campground! Tidy and clean facilities. Love the new bathrooms which make it easy for parents helping their children to shower. The owners are lovely, helpful and very accomodating. They helped us to find a site that worked for our family. The heated pool is great and we used it every day! We enjoyed meeting some lovely people who camp there regularly and having a dance with them. It's a beautiful, peaceful and relaxing place to stay. Thanks Peter and Rebecca!

This is my favourite camp. The owners Rebecca & Pete are fantastic and go above and beyond to be helpful. I come here several times a year and can’t wait to come back again. Troublemakers are soon sorted, so it’s a very peaceful camp. We have made some super friends here. Highly recommend.

A wonderful piece of paradise. Rebecca and Peter were great hosts. Nothing was a problem. There is a beautiful heated pool, the showers and toilets were always clean and tidy. The kitchens were nice and clean. A well set out campground. A bonus was we could bring our wee dog. We will definitely be back again.. Andrew and Tania kearns.

It is difficult to describe the peaceful feeling as we drive thru the gates at Tasman Motor Camp. Knowing how much fun I will have with our friends here. Many activities swimming, cycling, walking, playing pool and generally a great feeling. I would really love to book for the next 3 years at least. Such are the nature of friendly people here we would just love to stay much longer !!!!!

Fabulous night stay in one of the refurbished 2 bedroom units. Very warm and clean. Loved the toilets/showers. Very friendly hosts and would differently stay again.

Tasman motor camp, what a beautiful place to be, so clean and soooo green the beautiful sounds of all different birds through the day and night, and the cute wee ducklings....my 3yr old loved it there. Myself and wee family stayed there for 2months. We meet people and we made a camp family. Rebecca and Peter what awesome hosts really really lovely people. Id recommend this camp to you all.....

An absolute gem. A New Zealand camp ground at its best. Spotless facilities and lovely owners and friendly guests and an amazing pool. We will keep coming back!!

What a beautiful Camp, well kept grounds, and a great pool area for those hot days. The Kitchen is awesome with all the mod cons, including pool table. The toilet/showers have just been updated, wow they look great. What a great job Pete & Rebecca (Owners) have done. Pete & Rebecca are lovely and very friendly. And best of all our dogs were welcome too 🐾. Great place to stay 👍😃

Owners were caring and understanding. We booked in for two nights on an unpowered site. We liked it so much we extended our stay to a week. Facilities had recently been renovated, were clean and tidy. The fourth day hubby became unwell. We decided he needed a room as he was uncomfortable. Owners happily provided a room. Due to unforeseen circumstances our stay extended to three weeks. All this time we were made to feel at home and nothing was a problem. We will definitely be back. Thank you

We stayed at Tasman Motor Camp for 4 months during the summer and it was by far the best campsite we have stayed at in New Zealand. So much so that we returned for a second time and no doubt will be back for a third visit at some point! Although we weren’t there before Pete and Rebecca became the new owners, we have heard that the improvements they have made are incredible. And they are still ongoing! The facilities are modern and always clean, the kitchens are equipped with everything you need and Pete and Rebecca go beyond to make sure everyone is happy and has everything they need. There were multiple occasions when they put themselves out to accommodate us and for that we are so grateful! It feels like such a little community at Tasman and we miss everyone there already! The prices are very reasonable for such a friendly, clean, prime located campsite. We loved our time here and cannot wait to come back. Thanks Pete and Rebecca!

Don't usually write reviews but this was place was amazing. I had some misfortune with buying a van and Rebecca and Pete went above and beyond to help out. Really good people, nice facilities and the residents are all really friendly and helpful. Will 100% be back. Thanks again :)

Stayed for a night recently, the hosts (Rebecca & Pete) were very welcoming. The rooms were very clean and a great deal of effort has been put into modernising the facilities, highly recommended!

Pete and Rebecca are one of the most selfless couple you'll ever meet. Always going above and beyond for anyone who stays at the camp and expect nothing in return. They have updated the camp wonderfully and made it a 5 star resort but motor camp prices. I recommend tasman motor camp to anyone and everyone and always will xx

A great campsite! The new owners did a very good job flipping the place over. Bathroom, kitchen and game room are always very clean. The site is full of trees, flowers and you can enjoy feeding duckling! Rebecca and Peter will do everything to accommodate you. 5 stars

Tasman Motor Camp is a hidden gem. We stayed 5 nights on a powered site that offered sun, shade, privacy and convenience. The hosts are warm, friendly, thoughtful and hard working. The spacious communal facilities are well equipped to make camping life comfortable and sociable. The pool is very inviting on a hot day. The facilities are clean and well presented and the camp is well placed to access all that the Tasman region has to offer. The campers that stay for longer are kind and respectful. We look forward to having another holiday break in this very relaxing spot.

Great campsite. We intended to stay for 6 weeks while we worked and it became 3 months :) The facilities are clean and tidy and you have everything in here - big kitchen, TV lounge, pool, BBQS and pizza oven! It's quiet in here and Pete&Rebecca are lovely people always willing to help, they made us feel like home on our travels. They are working hard on improving the camp every day, we've seen lots of changes during our stay. Also the local people are very nice. We will definitely come back if we are around again.

We stayed at a powered site so we used the toilet and shower blocks which I found nice and clean. I liked how they had different buns for all the rubbish. Yes it could do with some upgrading however I can see they are trying really hard to make it look nice and inviting. They have a pool and a area for kids to play so if you were going to stay there during the summer time it would be awesome! They have long term tenant’s staying there which is great as not many places can offer that. All round we had no issues and they let us have our 2 dogs stay as well so that’s a extra bonus!! I am still here and can only confirm this. The owners are really friendly and very helpful. The Local people have a open minded and are very friendly. Everything is very clean, the pool is great and the kitchen is fully equipped. Good value for money. I only wanted to stay here for a night or two, but now that I've found a job here, thanks to Rebecca's tip, I stay a few weeks and I am very happy about it. I feel pretty well here

Stayed here over Christmas and couldn't speak more highly about it, the new owners Peter and Rebecca went out of there way to accommodate us, the camp facilities whilst in need of update were spotless. The grounds lovely and the pool sparkling just a pity the weather was cooler so not able to use it. The Kitchen and lounge facilities were second to non all in all a great little camp that we would happily recommend and return to if in the area.

We have been here for a while now and it is the best campground we have ever seen. There are hot showers in a beautifully refurbished bathroom, looks like a five star hotels. The campground facilities are very clean and tidy. The owners are friendly and hospitable, we would highly recommend this park.

Honestly the best camping that we've done in NZ ! Rebecca and Peter are really nice hosts and the camping is very clean, friendly and well equiped with a big swimming pool, 2 kitchens, terraces, 2 bbq, 1 pizza oven and good bathrooms. We spent 1 month here and the people and the place were amazing ! I recommand !

Thank you so much for having us for 'long term' parking! Nice central location, with lovely community feel. The newly renovated women's bathroom was definitely a highlight too! The owners are super helpful and friendly, and are just genuine 'good sorts'. Thanks again for our stay! :)

Loved my stay here. Was able to take my dog which is great. All facilities are clean and whole camping area is tidy and just typically kiwi. I haven't stayed in a typical camping ground for a long time and I really loved the experience here. The owners are super friendly and welcoming.

New owners have done a great job. You can safely ignore any reveiws older than a few months. Great relaxed kiwi campground. Stayed for two nights in 2020 New Years. Found the kitchen and bathroom clean and functional. Has a convient pool and near to good beach options. Reasonable rates.

This is a great place. The equipment was clean and satisfying. And it was quiet and I was able to relax with the singing of the birds.

We had such a great stay here for 5 months amenities are of a great standard and Pete and Rebecca are great people. You wake up and can hear all the Tuis and other birds singing. There's great walks around the area and it's not to ar to go anywhere from the camp ground. I wouldn't hesitate to recomend this place to any one who was looking for a great friendly camping ground to stay at fantastic place.

Had a blast of a time workin around Tasman Area. Stayed there in total for five weeks and each of it was marvelous! Especially the pool is an eye catcher during the hot summer times! you can also enjoy the friendly people out there and have a game of darts, pool or table tennis.

We stayed here for a holiday away to start off the new year !!! Safe to say it was by far the most amazing place to stay. I've been camping alot and have never ever recieved such friendly people to welcome us to the camp. Always happy to help with everything. Even helping one of our campers who suffered severe sunburn. I will 110% be coming back sooner rather than later. A+++++ highly reccomend

You are never going to find nicer people than Rebecca and Pete in any camp. They bend over backwards to help anybody. I am staying under beautiful trees with tuis in them. They even lend me their dogs to go for a walk. This is a paradise.

Welcoming hosts Peter and Rebecca are doing an amazing job as new managers of the camp. Very clean and tidy facilities and well stocked kitchens. The camp is quiet with welcome shade from established trees. Spent ten enjoyable days, exploring the Tasman National Park. 10 minutes from Motueka. Mapua wharf is nearby for lovely lunches and evening meals.

Perfect Base for trips to the beach or Takaka caves or Anatoki Salmon and perfect for just relaxing with the family in a heated pool. 10 out of 10 for cleanliness 10 out of 10 for friendliness. Well run camp under new owners.

i arrived approx 7pm mid january seeking a power site or non power site for motor home for one person and dog. I ws intially told price was 40 for one night. When i looked suprised it was explained that there was no "single rate" over the busy period. Rate was decreased to $32 as a kindness. I felt this is a high price for the standard of facilities which are basic and not epecially clean. I had told management that i was expecting visitors the next day. They visitors called into office as instructed and were told not to drive to site even tho one person is obviously injured at present and using a cane to walk. The second night was charged at $36 which is the most i have ever paid for a site. The pool was nice but everything in the camp is dated and maintenence appears to have been deferred. There are much more reasonably priced options to camp close by if you have a tent or caravan etc. Rooms looked basic in the acccomodation block. Litttle separate cabins appeared clean and good value. The camp itself offers some entertainment eg pool table , dvds, etc but does not have an especially great outlook or play area etc. I was appreciative of large camp site and ability to bring dog however we were placed close to two caravans that had cats which may have upset the cats! This is a basic camp but would suit some people. I would check prices for your needs prior to booking.

Some friends and I are road tripping around South Island, we stumbled upon this little campground after hitting kaiteriteri for the afternoon. Lucky we did! Pete and Rebecca just took this place over a few months ago, and you can tell they are working really hard to turn it around from what the old reviews talked about. Very clean, nice ameneties, super close to the water. We had a lovely time! Thanks for the hospitality Pete and Rebecca!

This place was lovely! The couple that owns this property is incredibly welcoming and helpful. Facilities are clean and they have a pool! Wifi is paid but it's very good quality. I highly recommend this campground!

Great place to stay, is clean and tidy. The owners are lovely people and great to talk to, they have great area knowledge if your a bit lost. The price is awesome. Would highly recommend Tasmen motor camp.

Stayed here for over a week, great sites with plenty of room to spread out and lots of trees. Central to getting about, up to Motueka and Takaka or down to Nelson. Throughly enjoyed our stay, everything we needed. Good price. Someone else commented that you had to pay for showers, only .50cents. Got to conserve water in rural areas, I thought it was generous for 6 minutes.

Ok place, there is some cool communal areas however the kitchen I used was a bit grubby. There is also a lot of residents, 1 of them was telling me the times each of them left in the morning (from 4am onwards) with a big smile on his face. Sure enough at 4:30 am I was awoken by a guy turning over his car which wouldn't start, when it finally did he drove about 10ft to the kitchen, turned it off and left his door open so the beeper was going while he was gone...

Our stay was only for one night, that was enough. We camped in a tent, kids went to sleep ok but we didn't get to sleep to after 1:30am due to some inconsiderate young people who had a few drinks 😉. There is a good size swimming pool here and clean and tidy toilet and shower blocks.

Nice Camp to stay a couple of days. Friendly owner and very friendly long term stayers. Not that far away from the beach and when you wanna be lazy, you can hang out and relax at the pool.

Stayed one night in a backpacker room as the sole occupant..Tent sites are $17.00 a night.Backpacker accomodation about $23.00 per night.$0.50 for a 6 minute hot shower..So overall rates are very reasonable.The kitchen is adequate and there are cold water washing machines for $2.00 a wash.The owner was very friendly and helpful.
