J.Staff were absolutely lovely & helpful. The price was super affordable too, thank u! The only let down was the popcorn, we ordered a jumbo box and it was 2/4 uncooked kernals, and please ease off the salt a little. Will defs come back though.
R.Average cinema but the staff is very friendly and very cute (staff in black shirts). Amazing service by clerks: Line, Hafsa and blonde young man who I didn’t get name of. Will visit again and again.
C.Probably one of the best places to go when you want to see a movie on the big screen. Also, there is the games arcade, which will provide you and the kids with hours of entertainment.
N.An average movie theatre. Nothing much excited. Seating is not that comfortable and sound quality is average only.
Only thing I can appreciate is the staff and their hospitality.
S.Haven't been in a while and remember why, price of tickets with the extras like popcorn etc but ESPECIALLY a $7 hotdog and the bread is hard should have just got a sausage sizzle 🤦🏽♀️

K.Bit run down. The price is lowest I've seen in NZ! $8.5 for adult, $6.5 for kids. It's a great way to attract crowds as the WestCity Mall is going down hill with 6 dollar-shops...

P.Cheapest tickets for an event cinemas in Auckland, the cost of food not so much.
Mostly enjoy my outings here, but yesterday found families in our seats.
G.Snacks cost more than our tickets. Facility itself could do with a facelift, we've been going here since it opened (over 20years) and recently have been spoilt by other cinemas recliner seats.
A.Retro vibes! Definitely not as nice as other Event Cinemas in Auckland. But much cheaper. Really needs a refurbishment to keep up with Event standards.
S.Kinda clean. Seats had stains, and bits of food stuck in them, which is kinda to be expected I suppose. Customer service was awesome though. Main reason for the 3 stars
L.Parking is easy and the theatre is accessible directly form the elevator. Not much has changed in a long time though, so a little outdated. It was clean, popcorn was hot and fresh and staff was friendly. Also the arcade is still there which is awesome.

G.While the decor is dated, the Event cinemas are functioning very effectively. There is a minimal queue time and they offer good choices of food at a reasonable cost. There is little monitoring of entry most of the time so security could be regarded to be a problem. The cinema seats are comfortable, offering good views of the film. An enjoyable experience, though needing closer monitoring at entrance to the theatres.
k.Excellent, helpful staff..We accidently booked wrong movie for us and our two kids..the supervisor and manager exchanged our tickets no problem..very happy with the service.
S.Haven't been in awhile but a couple years ago it only cost $8 for movie tickets now prices are the same as other Event cinemas .The location is good tho it's in the West city Mall and close to the food court.
J.Fantastic service from this branch and the online customer service team. I made an error with a booking, the manager called back within half an hour pointed me towards the customer service portal and I was emailed that I would receive a refund within 24hrs. I've been here many times with my kids and wife, never had an issue 😊👍
S.The queue to get the online tickets for Avengers was too long. Need more staff during busy times. Good experience overall.

This movie theatre has done that in an OK way. The seats are not the best I have seen and used at an Event Cinema location, but it is still fine for watching a long movie.
The cinema was reasonably tidy, still a few left over bits of popcorn laying around after the previous showing, but nothing that would put me off going back.
Staff are friendly and efficient. Snacks and drinks seem to have a good selection. Pricing is a little bit high on some things, but about average for a movie theatre.
N.Moderately clean, love the cheap tickets but had someone occupying on my designated seat when I watched Infinity War. One family member then offered to let me seat beside them but had to get out because the person who booked the seat arrived. Had to go back to my designated seat and politely asked to get my seat back. Other than that, all good.
D.Easy service. Lots of self serve ticket machines and atmosphere was superb. Wonderful aroma of buttered popcorn. Different cinema types as well such as Titan XC, premium etc all for a low price. Good sound quality

J.Fair pricing compared to other cinemas in other malls. Has snack bar. Most of the time is quite under staffed and tends to build up lines quickly. Arcades available while waiting for movies. Toilets and waiting areas also very close by. Car park on the same level makes easy entry and exit from cinema.
H.Most uncomfortable seats one can find in all of the event cinemas. They are really small and movie hall wasn't emaculately clean, with bits of popcorn lying around from the session before. People were putting their feet on the seat in front of them, and there were no cinema checks done in between the movies by any staff member.
Toilets weren't clean either.
On the positive side, the staff was nice and friendly,at the counter and ticket prices are one of the lowest you'll find in auckland.
E.I was surprised that they have a place with the old arcade games. That's soooo cool!
J.Reasonably good cinema, starting to look a little worn in some parts. Good parking & good arcade attached. Leave a few extra minutes to get through the ticket queue (sometimes a little slow). Recommend getting your snacks from the supermarket or Warehouse rather than paying cinema rates
J.Recently returning from Japan I wanted to see how much this place has changed, after being served by the amazing tymara I must say this place is amazing, 10/10 service.
The popcorn wasn't burnt and the drinks weren't 90% ice. Movie tickets here were so cheap too I remember coming here as a kid and the prices have stayed the same ever since. Timezone is also located with the cinema so if you're waiting to watch your movie you can have fun with your friends too playing many games like basketball, flappy bird, tekken tag and many racing games.
100% recommend, great service, great food and great movies
T.My extended family don't like this theatre due to their experiences with the smelly lift however it's ok for us. Seats are ok and not had any issues. Wish the food was cheaper but that's an issue with most theatres.
S.Close to home, fun arcades to go on, cinemas are generally clean but I refuse to use the bathroom here 😓. You can also purchase ticket at the cinemas and walk around the mall or eat something until the movie starts. Quite convenient to have cinemas inside the mall.
K.My local movie theater, good prices, though food is typically overpriced. Seats are comfortable but not the best I've experienced. But because of the reasonable ticket prices I tend to go to the movies a lot more
T.It's a good cinema but they really need to make some effort in keeping it clean and not smelling so bad. The screens are not the largest and sound not the loudest but it's ok, shame they charge the same prices as other, better maintained cinemas.
Z.Great movie and we all enjoyed the space and layout. Will go back again with the granchildren it is a safe place to take them for entertainment.

I.Have been coming here for years. Very clean and tidy. Staff are great. Plenty of parking. Much rather come here for a movie rather then Westgate or St Lukes. Keep up the good work

D.Cheap ticket prices. Why can’t all cinemas be like this?! Cinemas are a bit outdated but still ok to enjoy a good movie. A bit of a drive if you’re not from West Auckland but worth the drive if you’re after a cheap show.
P.Why does the cinema at Westcity allocate seats for movies? We went to watch a movie and the cinema was half full and people were sitting where they liked even though they had allocated seats and they wouldn't move. We were sitting in our allocated seats and an usher asked us to move over so that a couple whose seats were taken by someone else could sit in our seats. Just don't allocate seats!!
M.Great price 4 large families, only down side is no aircondition. So it hets to the point it almost feels like you want 2 faint its that bad and they wont switch it on either when you ask a staff member.
R.A bit tired looking, could do with a facelift...popcorn etc. is ridiculously expensive - $8 for a small popcorn... extortion, won't be buying it again...

M.Its has only one waiting line for food and ticket. And quite slow staff so took up most start of the movie. Good arrangement and seating. Seat is bit stiff and base is small so not very comfortable watch.

D.I had an amazing experience here with me and my friend. We watched Annabelle Comes Home, Aladdin, and The Lion King as I visited Auckland and I will never forget my time here.
N.Seats are not that comfortable. Have faced issues with the customer facing representatives before. Better come early and book your tickets. Poor maintainence of the theatres. No other option to go for Indian movies😞
