Amazing place to stay if you're a member of NZMCA for $7/person; $10 if hooked up to power and great free showers; washing machines. Dump station and potable water. Peaceful, safe , park anywhere. Beautiful natve bush and nice to park under mature exotic trees in historic showgrounds. Dog exercise area. Farmers Market on Saturday mornings...huge range of food ,crafts and book sale. A wonderful place to stay.

watched our nieces ride in appalling weather. grounds very wet such a shame . great facility but due to the weather and the mud we weren't able to explore much. lots of covered and outside stalls for horses. take your gumboots.

Lovely park like setting amongst trees. But it is a showgrounds and used by others. Such as the the people who bought a motorbike to practice on around where we were parked. Was not such a peaceful place then.

Always popular, Tripoli is known for their coffee -- it is most excellent! But their pizzas are the best thing on their menu, and on Wednesdays they are on special from 11 AM. If you are hungry in Masterton, Tripoli is a great place to check out.

Fun evening waiting for the balloon glow (which didn't end up happening) but an enjoyable event nonetheless and certainly a novelty for the kids being outside for dinner and also being out after dark! A map showing where the various food trucks and activities were stationed would have been good though, my son and I wandered around for ages looking for the face painting and balloon twisting (and then there was a massive line, but free [and really amazing] so not complaining too much!), and had to send my husband out to find Mao's noodle truck as I had no luck and he wanted to get some food too. Overall it was good fun - pack a blanket and/or a small outdoor shelter, low deck chairs, warm clothes, drink/s and perhaps a trundler to lug it all around in though.

Brilliant place to stay if you are part of the New Zealand motor caravan association. To camp here are members only. Excellent clean facilities with toilet and showers at $2 per person. Stunning peaceful grounds to park on, $7 per person without power and $15 with power per person, special rate for couples on power. Farmer's market on Saturday and sometimes the lion's book fair. EFTPOS, cash internet banking available. Excellent staff who make you feel at home. Close to town.

Very good place to stay Has showers toilets @ a dump station. & they let you stay while COVID19 is around. NZMCA won't SHAME on them.I could say more. But this a about the showgrounds.my first five star's HAPPY days..😄🤩🥂

Awesome area in Masterton. A lot of events go on here plus farmers market every weekend. Beautifully kept grounds and nature reserve area.

Good space for campervans including a few powered sites.

A decent size events ground and mostly Wheelchair accessible however the toilets are disgusting, old, spider web ridden. The men's WC toilet was blocked when attempting to use during a recent event. Suggest to prospective event holders dont just supply additional portable toilets, get a WC accessible one also - it's, hopefully more hygienic.

We are NZMCA members and stayed a couple of days ,great grounds,good facilities and plenty of shade but most importantly 2 super ladies in office who were the most accommodating and welcome people.Great ambassadors 😊

Gd parking it is a pity people dont park properly. Behind the grandstand. 2 cars and truck and trailer. 2 dogs walking with out leads and no poo bag. Not NZMCA member.
