Excellent selection of berries, raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, etc, the strawberries are yummy, get some every year. There are jars of delicious jams, chutneys, fresh farm eggs, vegetables, etc. They have a very good collection of gifts for giving, the placemats very eye catching, well you name it they have a great variety. The staff are lovely people, let you browse in peace, only when you need there help they come over, good parking, excellent WEE RED BARN l loved it, will always go back. Thankyou Louise.

Had such a great time working here, made so many new friends and also learnt a lot! Dot and Alan are friendly and helpful people! The staff are awesome and friendly in the shop! And the strawberries are beautiful, the fresh berries in are picked that day (on site) and are super tasty! Definitely recommend!

I worked here for 10 weeks and had a very good time. I met so much wonderful people and I have learned a lot. The owners Dot and Alan were always friendly and helpful to me and the berries are so amazing 😍 I think when you do a good job and you don’t go to work with a huge attitude, then there is no reason to leave or get fired.

Probably one of the best work experience we had since we came to NZ, stayed here for 5 weeks and had an amazing time. Dot and Alan are great. As regards to the bad reviews, I seen these people arrive with no ambition to work, obviously you get treated differently it’s a working environment like any other job you need to actually work for respect, overall highly recommend! Lovely shop with all kinds of berries. (fresh and frozen ones) Great varaity of other fresh fruits and vegetables. Free range eggs. Perfect place to stop on your way to get local products with a good price. Many different sorts of jams, chutneys, sauces, drizzles and vinaigrettes. So If you’re looking for gifts or something new to try you have a whole wall of them. Real fruit ice cream is a must try!

To all the potential workers out there: You probably did the same thing that we did, googled this place and discovered its bad reputation. Let's be honest: It is really undeserved. Me and my friend worked there for 10 weeks, met so many wonderful people and had a great time. The owners Dot and Alan were nothing but friendly and even helped us with our car. Just have a bit of common sense, do your best and loose the attitude. Then there will be absolutely no reason to leave or get fired after one or two days. P.S. The berries are f*cking amazing

(Translated) The fruits are all freshly picked or at most one day old and taste great. The owners were always very friendly and warm to the customers when I was there, and I worked there for 6 weeks. (Original) Die Früchte sind alle frisch gepflückt oder maximal einen Tag alt und schmecken super. Die Besitzer waren immer sehr freundlich und herzlich zu den Kunden in der Zeit wo ich da war, und ich habe immerhin 6 Wochen dort gearbeitet.
