K.Got a lot of good memories of McLean park, in 1994 Wellington Olympic made their first Chatham cup final vs Waitakere city unfortunately the referee on the night made a bad decision and Waitakere city won 1 nil. But over 1000 Greeks made the trip up to Napier it was a amazing atmosphere at the game. Really enjoy the occasion.
j. j.Awesome night @ this fabulous facility in Napier. Well organised at the gates moving crowds efficently. Watched a huge morn rising between the goal posts was a major bonus. Good crowd...lots of young & old. Great atmosphere. Need more ladies loo's please.
S.Grounds were beautiful. Atmosphere amazing! Only complaint being on the embankment, there was no way to keep up with the game as there were no scoreboards in view, and no baby changing tables in bathrooms. But overall, a memorable night!!
K. M.Great place to take the family for sports events. Friendly staff who are always willing to help. If your in the office, you might be lucky enough to meet a magpie. The Field/pitch at McLean park hasn't long had a revamp with all new drainage system been put in which makes for better quality turf for both rugby and cricket..
Overall a great heart to hawkes bay.
Rugby, woman's cricket, Men's cricket, International cricket and rugby are all played at McLean park. Very affordable tickets for local derby matches of rugby!
N. S.Great ground. Amazing facilities. Food options are great. Experienced one of the weirdest play stoppages during the 1st ODI between the Blackcaps and India, because the sun was on the batman's eyes 😊
C.Went to the NZ v England T20 last night. Great night for watching cricket. It got even better when the lights came on.. Not the result we wanted but they knew England would not take the silver medals.

F. A. J.A very nice stadium, we went for a cricket match. If you are entering from gate 1 or 2. You can park in Lathem road, or free parking nearby. It was hard to find a nappy changing areas. The toilets for Greame stand doesn't have any nappy changing area station. If you have a toddler and you are sitting in the first row the metal rail in front of the seats are very wide and your toddler can easily fall. It's really nice for grownups though

P. O.I was not overly impressed with the food available. The only options I could see were hotdogs, hot chips & donuts. In a wonderful food producing region like Hawkes bay, I think a healthier variety of quality food is very doable

J. S.Went to see the home and garden show. Its was a great day in the sun. Good to see how technology is changing the way we live. The only issue I found with McLean park is parking. Its quite hard to find a car park around this place .

S. K.It is a nice a place in which we can play cricket match and also Patrice session in ground. It is the most beautiful place in the world after Australia I like the of the New Zealand. The ground is filled up with full air. And there is one reason why some people hate that one if the catch is coming from up it will go to the another place that why they don't like the stadium. McLean park,latam St,napier New Zealand. I like the country.
D. P.Need more screens/scoreboards. We sat on the embankment above the screen and had no idea what the score was. Sound system also needs improvement. Apart from those couple of issues great venue and well run.
V. D.The jewel in the crown of Napier’s suite of sportsgrounds, McLean Park is the home ground of the Hawke's Bay Rugby Union (Magpies) and the Central Districts Cricket Association (Stags). Six light towers light the park for night games. Capacity is currently close to 20,000.
D. C.Wished it was for cricket. This visit was for the Home and Garden Show which was mostly a replay of last year and/or other similar shows. Talked to the fencing guy for suggestions for our place. Very helpful.

p. f.Good venue. However, there needs to be a bar that takes EFTPOS , as you were made to que separately to get cash with a $2 charge per transaction. Maybe that money could be used to buy a bigger side screen

R. s. G.McLean Park is a sports ground of international standards which includes the main outdoor stadium and the indoor Rodney Green Centennial Events Centre. The home teams for this ground are the Hawke's Bay Rugby Union and Central Districts Cricket Association. The two ends of the stadium are named the Centennial Stand End and Embankment End. Its close proximity to the International Date Line makes it the world's easternmost Test match ground.

P.Last time I came and watched nz play cricket they had problems with wet playing surface and after waiting at ground for hours they finally called all play off.Yesterday came again to watch nz.play and this time they had problem with setting sun.Very frustrating for all spectators need to sort this out for future matches For me I don't think I will be back to watch cricket at this venue for quite some time
