s.Well well well, be sure to check out the cinema screen layout before you book. The one cinema with the sofas for chairs is absolutely fantastic as the seating can't get any better than that.
Good infrastructure for the size of the city it caters to.
B.Great experience for the kids. Hadn't been in years, impressed with the new seating, comfy as. Shocked at the prices tho. The snack for two pop corns and 3 drinks $30.50. Plus $83 for 1 adult and 3 under 12. Ticket prices I understood but come on guys the snacks are outrageous. And it's part if the movie experience so of course I brought.
P.Overall it was good. The theatre itself was not too big and the seats were wide, comfortable and had plenty of room for food and drinks.
The entrance to to complex was not very inviting on Friday evening because it looked deserted and the escalators were temporarily stairs. Other reviews I've read say the escalators have been stairs for weeks, it would be nice to see them working again.
The usual high ticket prices and expensive bad for you food that makes going to the cinema a not so regular thing.
L."Liquorice Pizza" in Cinema 7!! Movie, not food. Felt very plush in generously sized, black leather seats. The staff were patient and very friendly, great popcorn - so appreciated in these Covid times. It was an unusual entrance from the Carpark, let's call it nostalgic.
J.Very comfortable seating, friendly staff. Vaccine passes were checked. Pricing was as expensive as expected but good selection of food available, the popcorn was particularly fresh!
R.Running late but I got quick efficient friendly service with time to spare after 10mins of promotional advertising. Seats easily located and they were comfortable and well spaced. Enjoyed "Unforgiven" with Sandra Bullock in a less glamorous lead role than usual.
d.Sat down next to a big box on my right, could not hear right side surround, sound effects, must have been the kissing corner. Seats are awesome, enjoyed the movie, good place, will visit again.
B.Got cheap tickets through cinibuzz (like a free membership program) for family movie, $40 for family of 4 makes for an affordable experience. Place has had a face lift. Big plush chairs in the theatre, the toilets (which used to be very shabby) looks modern and clean. Staff looked happy and were friendly.
Can't say the paw patrol movie was very eventful but the kids really enjoyed it.
A.Good ambiance and good staff ! The new kiosk added makes things easier if you want to eliminate the queue !

A.Great they are still operating thru level 2. Just a word of warning. Make sure u book online don't think u can just walk in and there will be seat available. Wrong. Hope my kids like Shang chi. As I had to miss out 🥺. Part of parenti I suppose.

A.A Great way to escape from either the rigours of life or boredom. Super comfortable seating. Clean Toilet Facilities. Friendly supportive Management and Staff. Easy access (Lift), limited disability plus parking. A great Range of Movies for all ages. Check it out and enjoy the experience.

J.Everything was organised as well as it always is. It's good to see more people visiting the cinema. There was a great choice of films. The place looked clean and tidy, and as we left, 2 staff members came in to wipe down the seats. They are working hard to keep things going. It was a very pleasant experience.

H.First time at the cinema today since the upgrades, and what a vast improvement! I had avoided going to the movies for years because the seating was so cramped & uncomfortable for people of more ‘generous proportions’, but the new wider seats are AWESOME! it was actually a really enjoyable experience, and I will definitely be going to the movies more often now. I would have given a five star review had it not been for the toilets - what they’ve added in the cinema seats seems to have been taken away from the stalls - there was hardly room to turn around, let alone sit down, because the stalls are so narrow!
M.It's awesome. There is wheelchair access, theres a cinema cafe downstairs, theres 2 levels of cinemas, really friendly staff, the prices youd expect of a movie theater too. Popcorn is great, drinks and snacks are great, very clean and hygienic, you will not get lost, the bathrooms are easy to find as well. They dont have those uncomfortable old fashioned theatre chairs, its luxurious leather chairs, sooo comfy. If your a bigger person, it's a guaranteed fit, trust me you wont get stuck. If your bringing a handbag or a backpack then theres a space underneath for it, only you can reach it, theres no way for a thief to reach from the back. Theres also plenty of leg room so your not squishy when someone walks past. This is by far the best movie theater I have ever been too, and I've been to alot.
M.The cinema has undergone alot of upgrades in recent years but still has a way to go.
D.An entertaining experience for the whole family! Couples! Teens! Adults! Kids! Younger and older alike! Variety of movie snacks available over the counter! Upgraded furnishings to cinema rooms with leather seating! Movie guide to advertise the movies coming soon and ones already in cinemas! Lower and upper level cinema rooms! Tickets tend to be bit expensive on certain weekdays/weekends maybe depending on if you have a Event cinebuzz card in your wallet as a possession! Also snacks are an extra on top of ticket price so that makes sense. If you're a card holder/become one then this is how you'll collect the deals and promotions! Every so many movies seen you win a free movie session from points awarded system process! Overall not so many negatives! More positives! Definitely makes for great memories! 😃🙂☺️🤔💯👍👏👌🤞🙏

S.The staff are nice, the facilities are nice. Good place to enjoy a night/day out at the movies. The only downside is there is no toilets by the upstairs cinema as they are all on the main floor.

A.Huge improvements with the remodel. The place is so much cleaner. Bathrooms are much nicer and the new arm chairs with side table are the ultimate for movie comfort. Love it!!!
B.We remind patrons to keep feet off our seats *music from the industrial revolution*. Real easy to sneak in $1 lollies from the Warehouse across the road into here probably because the cinema's food is more inflated than the Zimbabwe dollar. RIP the arcade.Can never be late to a movie here due to the 20 minutes of ads and trailers before every movie. One of the best things to do in New Plymouth.
J.Friendly staff and a much improved seating style but the sound insulation between cinema screens isn't up to much along with piss poor air con, l will be looking forwards to the new cinema in the valley opening in about 18 months time.
S.The upgraded seats are mint but the new screens are fairly small.

M.I love this event cinema, it is comfortable and most nights you can get a seat near the back. The staff are friendly and helpful. I would like to see some healthier snacks being offered even something simple as raw mixed nuts.
C.We came in for the first time this year yesterday as we had a little time to ourselves and wanted to use a gift card that was given to us by a friend.
The cue wasn't super long but they had 1 person serving (and she had a couple of large food orders to do) and 1 lady on the end of the counter talking and lounging back so I can only presume it was to a friend as it would seem inappropriate if this was a patron, and 2 staff floating around in and out of the office not exactly doing much really (from my observations, they may have been set tasks I was unaware of)
Later after reading the white board again I could have queued in the other line as I had purchased tickets and food online. Although there seemed to be no one there to serve (may have been one of the floaters) but it took me a few times to register what the white board was telling me to do.
Maybe the entrance needs a little makeover.
Maybe clear your queues a little faster then go on to talking to your friends and fluffing. It's not a good look to have staff meandering around with patrons waiting.
The seats are a little dated and seem screws are missing in the arm rests, stained seats and just a general dirty feel (alright for most bit I'm a particular fellow). I would happily pay a premium price if you upgraded the facility's a little more.
Bonus was we had the pick of the place as almost no one else in the cinema so found a little spot we liked.
Overall an ok outing for the day.
D.A 7 cinema complex, currently being refurbished 1 at a time.
The 2 newly refurbished cinemas have comfortable armchairs, a deeper space from the row in front so a tall person can't block your view.
A really good movie going experience.
M.I can’t believe the amount of advertisements before the movies I went to over the recent school holidays. The first movie included both ads, movie previews and a short story, 20 minutes at least altogether. The second movie had 25 minutes of ads and movie previews. I don’t spend my good money to see advertisements you see on the TV!!! Other than that I enjoyed my visit to the movies, friendly staff and fairly comfy seats.
E.Alright place now since the upgraded seating. Only problem I have is the very limited parking, there is only a handful of allocated parks under the building but once they full up you need to find a park on the street, it’s ok if it’s a Tuesday night or something but if you plan on going in a Thursday, Friday or Saturday finding a park semi close is very difficult

L.Strange layout, on the first floor of a building above ground floor. To get around the escelators to take you to second floor, you have to go through what feel like stock cattle gates. It's just wierd.
The service is pretty good, food is expensive as like in most cinemas. We were a bit puzzled when we went there on a rainy school holiday, where we thought it'd be completely full. Lots of people out on the street, but we were the only group in the cinema which I've never experienced before.
C.Very comfortable seats, we enjoyed our experience. However not enough staff as we already had tickets and just wanted food.. still had to queue with everyone else....

M.I saw "The Meg" today for only $10 as I'm a Cinebuzz club member (the movie was awesome by the way!). Great to see that two additional cinemas are being built to cater for more film screenings but food & drink is really over priced. Customer service is always good though. ☺️

P.Friendly but wheelchairs jot available so mobility scooter has to go i to cinema, ok on floor 1 nut tricky on floor 2 as have to use wee lift amd scooter is a litt.e too big to fit with ease, plus driving jn is very tight. Disabled loo is faced by a huge pillar witch makes entering and exiting in scooter almost impossible

J.Decent cinema with a range of screens and helpful & attentive staff. The line can get long for a popular film. MasterCard Wednesdays, if you have such a card, gets you a cheaper ticket with small popcorn and drink included.
L.Excellent cimemas especially with the new seats. Shame you often hear loud noises from the movie next door. And why so long fixing the escalator and ramp area... Its been months??
R.A great place to catch a movie of your choice with family or friends. Parking is simple, just park under the warehouse and walk across the road. Rest rooms are always clean and tidy. Join the rewards system and get great deals.
t.the cinema always kind of makes me feel depressed but that isnt yalls fault its jsut the self induced bad memory stream. anyway it's like a pretty lit cinema and like one of the only things to do here so that's a plus. the popcorn is super expensive but also is really delicious so you win some u loose some. I threw up on the floor here when I was 11 and trying to watch wall-ee because I had food poisoning (NOT from the popcorn, from an unrelated source) so i apologise for that in retrospect

C.Okey... too salty popcorn and seats from 90’s are something that can be forgiven... but turning on the lights when the movie hasn’t been finished yet- this is too much. I was just there for Avengers: Infinity War and they turned on the lights as soon as the end credits showed up, which made me and couple of other people leave the cinema... I know Marvel’s movies always have scenes after credits, but I thought it is the same like with Logan - no additional scenes. So I just found out I missed pretty important scenes, because someone decided to turn on the lights..What the hell is going on up there???? UPDATE CHANGED STARS TO 4 BECAUSE THE KEEP THE LIGHTS OFF AFTER DEADPOOL 2

K.The amount of advertisments prior to the movie are rather anti-climactic so going into the movie you can be ever so slightly put off and it makes the movie longer as such. However, for a not too large town it is suffice for what it offers.

C.Actual movie experience isn't bad, seats decent, sound good, staff friendly. It gets let down by the tired, worn and dated facilities that are really showing its age and in dire need of an update.
These are the things that add to the overall movie experience and help justify the relatively high prices. Toilets are a prime example, reminding me of the school loos from the 1980's.
Y.Always love coming to this cinema...the really comfy seats for an extra couple of dollars, is great. Food, drink, air hockey and a few other things...to entertain you.
K.Staff were very good. The venue is undergoing renovations at the moment so bathroom facilities are VERY limited. I'd suggest going toilet BEFORE you get to the cinemas!
