M.Absolutely amazing peice of publically funded fun. The kids absolutley love it and parking is super easy. Sheltered area under a sun shade, perfect spot for an ice cream
B.All sorts of cycling options for kids young and old. Have a crack on the BMX track, or help the kids learn how to follow the road rules on the mini road layout. Plus it’s a great kicking off point to ride to town and back.
G.To those experiencing it for the first time The Taranaki Cycle Park is a hidden gem.
It is adjoining the fabulous Coastal Walkway/Cycle path and caters to everyone from learners to infants to accomplished road and track cyclists. It has been a model for communiities around the country to emulate.
N.Awesome place for little ones, there is a track for kids with give way signs, traffic signals, railway track, speed bumps and more. Very tidy and well maintained. It is fun and interesting way to teach kids road sense. Best place to visit and spend an evening if you have kids.
There is an option to donate fund's too. Good for teaching kids to value public spaces.

C.A great opportunity to ride a velodrome and then ride the road track with its fast downhill section, followed by a tight uphill climb. A good workout in the middle of the Coastal Track.

C.Was a cold afternoon but the kids didn't seem to mind, and were really keen to head over to the cycle park for a play. Hardly anyone else around so we had the place to ourselves pretty much. Just such a good place for the little ones to begin learning about road sense, give way signs, traffic lights and so on, and a great big track for the braver ones to cycle around. Just managed to get into the car before the rain came, we will definitely be back

W.This is an awesome place to bring the kids, young and old. It has a great, soft-landing area to get kids started in cycling, as well as a small off-road course, obstacle course, street course (complete with working lights, street signs, and a round-a-bout). This is added to by the outdoor velodrome, and long course which features multiple routes, and a great downhill section.
We go regularly, and the kids love it!
Next door is an international standard BMX track, which does require full safety gear to use.
J.Lots of different cycle tracks for children and adults of all ages including a velodrome and a mountain bike track! Excellent and safe environment. There's a water fountain at the park but you'll need to bring any snacks you may want with you as there's no shops.
j.Great area. Wonderful scenes and beautifully kept grass and path areas. Special place set up for children to learn to ride their bikes and learn traffic rules. Well done.
E.This is an absolutely amazing cycle park in a carefully selected serene and beautiful surroundings and very next to all related stuff e.g BMX track, kids cycle park with simulated roadside traffic signs.
One can go there by car as plenty of car park available next to it...but the best way to get there could be through New Plymouth's world famous coastal walkway/cycleway. I hope the coastal walk and cycle way would be soon paved up all the way from New Plymouth to this place...and further to Waitara.
P.A wonderful facility, we need to fund lighting for night racing & events. And eventually put a roof on the Velodrome. Maybe?
R.It's a great place to take the kids and the whole family but if you have a baby or child in a pram, be prepared to lift them over the gate, there's no way you can push the pram through it. And you'd be best to go toilet by the playground you pass before getting to the bike park as there are no toilets down there 😟
R.Really great facility for the little ones to run around on their bikes and learn how to ride. There's a drinking fountain and shade provided, but the nearest toilets are 500m away.
j.GREAT FOIR KIDS TO LEAN TO RIDE AND ROAD RULES
R.A great mix of levels from the velodrome to the small off road track and the kids road cycle fun track to the full scale BMX racing track. Have spent hours of fun here with the kids. Heaps of parking opposite and hardly ever crowded. To extend your ride you can also get there easily from the coastal walkway. Either leave from town or park up at Te Rewa Rewa bridge and cycle for about 10mins
m.Great place to take the children to. Super safe and ample space for them to go on their wheels. And for adults to! :)
D.Great place for all the kiddies. Only 2 things that could be done is make the gate a little wider for the larger buggies and perhaps some toilets wouldn't go amiss.
