Lovely variety of interesting scones and clotted cream (!!). Loads of different teas. Fun and quirky decorations and hats for dressing up. Kids especially would love this place for the fun factor. Adults will love the delicious food and great service.

This is such a lovely spot. The cafe is homely and relaxing and the service is so friendly. Not to mention they have different scones to try every day with delicious homemade sides!

This tea shop is in face a clever front for a real life mad hatters tea party.
They offer a variety of traditional UK foods, pasties, scones and the like.
The interior is full of side boards, hidden teddy bears and most importantly... Hats.
You are encouraged to try on the hats and wear them while you sample some of the 123 (and counting) types of scones they have had on offer.
Oh, and the widest selection of teas I've seen in NZ, including my favourite - Pukka.
This will be on our list whenever we pass from now on.

An amazing place to enjoy traditional english breakfast. There are so many different varieties of teas to chose from. The owner is super friendly and has lots of stories to tell. The scone was absolutely delicious. I don't think I've had a better scone in my life. Please visit this place.

Wonderful afternoon tea, was so nice to have clotted cream. Had a great chat to the owner who makes you feel like it’s a special occasion even if you are only popping in. Great for kids.

On your way to New Plymouth why not stop in Urenui and enjoy a lovely home made scone with tea or coffee in a quirky atmosphere. This little cafe is fun to visit with all sorts of memorabilia especially anything to do with Rupert The Bear. Well worth the stop...

This kooky, funky little place is a must stop at place for us whenever we drive down the country. The savoury scones with pickle are very yum.

This place is fantastic! Probably the best full english I've had in NZ - included black pudding and beans! The service was faultless. I bought scones with clotted cream and jam and brought them back to the whanau in Auckland. Just eaten them and they were excellent! Go here and eat!

Top marks for imaginative and effective decor.
But the coffee was dreadful, needs a barista. Scaldingly hot, and large when I asked for small
The scone held promise as they clearly are proud of the variety, but sadly it was only average.
Great potential though, needs fine tuning.
And a barista who can make coffee!
Great staff, friendly and inviting.

Lovely friendly people. Great coffee and scones. Loved the decor
