What a great base to camp. I had a small tent and spent two nights here over Christmas. It had a small but good outside covered kitchen, good showers and toilets well cleaned, helpful staff and there's so much to do in the area. I biked the Karagahake Gorge to Waihi, well work doing for the history alone. The ride was excellent too. So many cool and unusual shops in town to explore and a beautiful river to chill out by if you want to. The L&P Cafe is good and the walk and view from Primrose Hill was well worth it as well. I'll be back one day for sure.

Always feel so welcome, and after coming from AUCKLAND seeing my beautiful granddaughter they kept the gate open till we arrived only after 15 minutes. We love staying here
