M.Awesome park and walking area, has a cool dog park and easy access to the river. Will be a stop off next time we go through Palmerston North.

A.honestly I wish this park was here when I was younger. this dog park is awesome, with various activities for dogs of all ages and the family. a definite must for every dog to play and meet all their social needs.
J.Great variety for dog walking. Nice views of the river and lots of interesting places to dog walk or socialise. The new off leash area is good and they've done a great job to create interesting agility features.

M.We were from out of town and so we came here with high hopes and did not disappoint! The dog park was massive and really awesome. There was a fenced area as well. There is an access to river and cycling trails. My dog played in the fenced area and then we walked to the river where he had a swim. Great for family and pets!!!

E.This is a beautiful place, lovely to walk in, but difficult to get to. The paths are rough, and difficult for prams, wheelchairs, strollers and walkers. The views of the river and the trees are well worth the effort, though!

X.Difficult for the older folks and the immobile to get down to the river. It would be great for the council to provide a way for people to get to this beautiful place who can't otherwise walk!
A.Our dogs loved this place. It's big with open spaces and mini wooded areas, paths all over the place that look like BMX tracks and a dog park if you don't want to wander. Dogs can be walked off leash everywhere, just don't let them eat the joggers!

T.Great place to walk, cricket and rugby field near by. Dog training yard. Good for dogs, kids, cyclists
C.Situated next to Paneiri park and an easy 1.5 hr return walk from new bridge towards Maxwells line . The reserve is great for exploring the many different tracks and there are toilets in the Paneiri park along with car parking.
Dog walking is allowed and there is a fully fenced dog agility park located by the new carpark.
Meandering through the grasses and native fauna is MB and BMX tracks and obstacles for young and old.
There is a wetlands area which is still in development and along the river is a breeding ground for wild bird life.
G.We have just started walking our new dog here. I find this a really good place not only to walk the dog but to relax and get my excersie to help with my diabetes. Wish I had given the walk ago before
A.Good park, which is still being finished off. Not very well sign posted to get doen to the dog area. The fenced dog park area should be open daily 5.30am-9pm, but was still locked when I got there.
M.Was good. Needs to be more of a playground for kids but otherwise very nice walk and grounds are well kept with easy access to most areas.
L.Such a pleasant place to walk with or without a 🐕 with river or parklike views...even a barbecue area.
T.It's great that palmy has places like this down by the river but it could use some development. It has so much potential and natural beauty but some better parking, toilets, easier access and some beautification to give it a bit more of that Wellington vibe with some sculptures or cool landscaping and paved bits, you know like how they fixed the square up, that'd just make it mint.

T.This really is the hidden gem of Palmerston North. Right down by the river there is parkland and a native Bush area full of birdsong. A lot of effort has gone into this place from volunteers and the council and its really impressive.
D.Down here on a regular basis.
Great place to walk the dog, ride my bike, and spend time with my girlfriend.
It is a shame that a few inconsiderate people spoil it for the rest of us

B.Beautiful peaceful place to stay overnight in yr camper on the banks of the Manawatu river. Lots of lovely paths to ramble/ bike or take a longer stroll on the manawatu coastal walkway accessed from the reserve. Close to town. Friendly oversight by night time security makes this park feel safe. Used extensively by cyclists , walkers and dog owners, it is an obvious asset to Palmerston North. Highly recommend a visit.
