this place is beautiful! 😍 highly recommend, weather it be for a gift or just a one off pamper day! I've been twice now, once for thee most amazing hot stone massage and another time for a pedicure, and I'll certinaly be back.😊

LOVE this place. Hands down one of my fav businesses in Palmy. Their hair washing station (and weighted blankets) are so relaxing. Toni gives the Best head massages and blow waves around. She always makes me feel beautiful. Helen and the team do a wonderful job. The decor, the service, the fancy chocolate…thank you!!! I’ll miss you ❤️

I had the best experience with Hannah and definitely will be going back. Since moving to Palmerston North 6 years ago I haven't found someone who can cut my hair correctly. Hannah was amazing and explained to me why my hair wasn't working out with previous cuts. My hair is thick and wavey and Hannah did a terrific job in fixing my hair. The customer service is outstanding, the salon is neat tidy and clean, everyone is welcoming and I will definitely be going back as a regular. I had a facial done aswell and I came out feeling like a new person I highly suggest checking these lovely ladies out.

This is my second time at Alchemy and I with Hannah. Hannah is so professional, and makes you feel like a queen from the second you walk through the door. I love my time at Alchemy and I.

I was super impressed with the care and attention I received at my Aroma Essential Facial appointment yesterday. Alchemy & I welcomed me in with a friendly smile. First Impressions count so much! Alchemy & I is truly great! Kerry was very tentative and thorough on explaining with detail what she was doing. I felt so relaxed and really enjoyed my facial with her. My skin felt great after and I definitely will recommend you to my friends and family. Thanks again Alchemy & I, your amazing!

I’ve been going to Alchemy & I since it opened. I always see Amelia for my hair and leave feeling so pampered, she has fantastic skills and is a great person to chat with. All the other girls are also just lovely and no matter who I talk with, they’re welcoming and very friendly ❤️

I have been going to Alchemy and I for almost a year now and Shylo has TRANSFORMED my hair in the best way possible!! Yesterday was my birthday and the whole team was so amazing and made me feel so special as a client! I highly recommend them and have nothing but positive things to say about this place!

Hannah always provides an amazing high quality and professional service every time. She is thorough in her work which I love! Alchemy provides complimentary drinks which are always such a treat and I love the head massages at the end of a hair wash. Best service I’ve ever had at a Hairdresser

Alchemy helps calm my mind and restful space. I have the deep cleaning hair treatment, which is divine. The massage helps which headaches and tension in my neck. Yes, they even give your neck a massage. After the hair washing, they style your hair and they do work magic

Once again Amelia absolutely surpassed my expectations with incredible customer service!! Amelia has a clear passion for hair and pleasing her customer!! She is filled with ideas and has a fine eye for detail. HIGHLY recommend Amelia but I'm sure anyone of the girls at alchemy would provide the same as they all seem very professional and lovely. The atmosphere is always DIVINE!! Thank yall soo much for coming to palmy...soo grateful 🙏

I absolutely loved my experience at Alchemy and I! Shylo did an amazing job with my balayage and her apprentice Toni was such a lovely person, and she did an amazing job with her training. 10/10 recommend!

I had my hair done by Hannah as Shylo (who is fabulous) was away. Shyl called me at home and arranged for Hannah to step in. Such great service she always goes that extra mile for me. Hannah is amazing with colour and did a great job. I went to put a post up at the time but couldn’t get online and then forgot! Thanks Hannah for a fabulous appointment. Today I am back for my next appointment with Shylo which is always great, and I trust her when we try new things. Shylo and Hannah you are amazing, thanks so much and I won’t be going anywhere else! Amelia has been taking care of my hair for months now. She's done wonders with it! Great service and fantastic staff! I've been twice to Alchemy & I and have never felt so pampered in my life. The entire salon is comfort-focused and the experience is tailor-made to cater to your needs and wants. Kerry Anne gave me the best mani I've had in NZ ever and the lash lift & tint still looks great after 2 weeks. She told me every step as she worked, so there were no surprises. Even better, no discomfort! Amelia cut and styled my hair - best cut I've had in years. She really listened to me and helped me fine tune my decisions. I go back to her soon for color. I can't wait!

Shylo was amazing as always. Forever having me leave the salon with exactly what I wanted for my hair. Professional service with a good turnaround for time! And Toni will never fail with her head massages at the basin! A++

Their amazing collaborative approach to your service means you are pampered and looked after every step of the way. Love the store and the layout they have. I had such a lovely experience at Alchemy & I. An absolutely stunning space with the loveliest staff that were attentive and kind. Rosie did balayage on my hair and it turned out great, definitely going back there in the future.

Totally rapted with my haircut done by Shiloh'. Thank you Shiloh. I was charged $90 for a short haircut, which I feel is definitely up there in cost., but advised that my next haircut because I now have short hair ( ?? had short hair when I walked in the salon) will be $75 whilst I am pleased that its slightly cheaper BUT i am perplexed why it was $90 for my first appointment.

My hair came out so pretty. The service was great, I got offered beverages about 5 times. Amelia Rose did my hair and she was so sweet, she gave great advice and did a really good job

Wow I was really blown away by my whole experience! Hanna was welcoming and super knowledgeable and they have just thought of all these little things to truly enhance your time there! Definitely recommend!

The team at Alchemy & I are wonderful. I felt heard when it came to my concerns about my hair loss, and supported when they offered support through a 42 day care plan. I also had a hair cut and blow-dry, and the price was fair - something I know we all enjoy. I'll be booking for a hair colour soon x

Loved my visit! The shop was amazing, the salon was clean and the different areas were really cool! Shylo was the best, very professional and I've never had so many comments on my hair. The hair wash room was an AMAZING experience! The seat and basin were the perfect match. Will 100% be back and the drinks were delicious too.

Highly recommend this incredible new salon. Such an amazing experience from start to finish. Loved the head massage and bespoke interior which takes whole hair experience up a level. No where else like this in Palmerston North and would recommend giving it a go because it really is worth it. After getting my hair done at alchemy and I 3 or 4 times now, I can say with confidence that this is an amazing salon. The staff are all very welcoming and attentive, their service is great and my hair stylist Shylo always does a fantastic job with my hair. Cannot recommend this place enough! Xx

It is a late review, but I had the most amazing experience at Alchemy & I. The staff were so kind, even with technical difficulties it was a great experience. I received a full body massage, hair styling and a blow out, all of which were done perfectly. It was done by Kerry + Shylo who I recommend to everyone. I will be going back with friends and recommending Alchemy & I to everyone I know. 10/10

I had a great experience yesterday with Amelia! I showed her a few pictures of what I liked and told her what I was after with maintenance requirements and she worked her magic and had me leaving there with exactly what I wanted! The salon has such a clean relaxed but pampering vibe about it, and Helen made me the most delicious mocktail - Il definitely be back!

Everything was amazing, the service was top notch and had many added extras like an app that you can request drinks, food, magazines, a phone charger and more straight to your location. They also give a complimentary proper head massage. The actual salon is gorgeous and the people friendly but professional. Shylo was my hair dresser and did a great job on my hair which had been neglected for a good couple of years. Highly recommend!

Alchemy & i is a revolutionary salon. Using state of the art techniques, products and equipment in a incredible environment! They are really paving the way for the future of hair/ beauty salons. I had the most amazing facial at Alchemy & I. It was super relaxing as it included a back neck and shoulder massage on top of the facial. My face was so radiant afterwards plus totally relaxed. Would definitely go again.

Alchemy & I, is an experience like no other. It's not your average hair salon, as it is. so. much. more. The place itself is luxuriously, lavish in both atmosphere and decor. You walk in and are instantly transported to another world. I mean, what other salon can you be served a delicious, expresso martini while getting they most amazing scalp massage, while feeling the comfort of a weighted blanket while your toner develops?😌 Shylo, did an incredible job of listening to my vision and making that vision come to life. I love my warmer, golden tones and she got it bang on! I can't fault any of the staff they were all impeccably dressed and were very friendly and approachable. Matthew the mixologist, also makes a great mocktail for those not drinking or have had your limit🍸I can't wait to book for my next appointment! 🤗

I've had two appointments with Molly at Alchemy & i so far, looking after my finger and toe nails! Alchemy has a lovely relaxing atmosphere and the loveliest staff who make you feel SO looked after and special. I've been so thrilled with the quality of my mani pedis and the attention to detail Molly pays to make my nails look amazing!

Another great experience with Amelia at Alchemy & I; fabulous head massage followed by a great blow dry. My curls are awesome and still in place. I look forward to seeing you again.

Shylo and the Alchemy & I team never fail to disappoint. I have been going to this salon for over a year now and are the only people I trust dying my hair, especially going blonde ! The salon experience is laid back, bubbly, pampering and the people fully complete the experience with their friendly attitudes. My favourite is getting a dye, style, and leaving with a jaw dropping blow out. They take great care in hair by keeping it healthy through the colour process and recommending the best products to keep it beautiful. Will always recommend 10/10.
