b.Such an under underutilized and underated hidden beauty of the region!!
An easy 45-50 min drive from the Feilding Township, but so worth it!
Such a pretty spot, would be one of my favourite in the area .
Would be great to see some more picnic facilities put in place and maybe clear out the grass area around it for more eating/parking spots ..along with maybe some steps of something to make acessing the water fall area easier?
Despite that - still absolutely stunning !
A.To get here you can't follow Google Maps because it sends you to the top lookout and says to walk... but there is no track from the top, only a cliff!
You need to enter 'Lagoon Road' to get to the swimming spot and waterfall. Then watch carefully for the yellow sign saying Ruahine Dress Circle Reserve.
The access to the water is quite steep. But worth the scramble. Walk back upstream 100m to see the bridge and the interesting rock shapes.
M.Cool little spot. Google maps took us to the lookout above. The actual waterfall etc is a few kms below. Check out it’s history beforehand to enjoy its atmosphere.
A.Nice little spot with a picnic table, small waterfall and swimming hole. Worth the diversion if you've got a few minutes or more to spare.
d.Swimming hole with picnic table nearby. Waterfall a great feature. Swimming hole is deeper closer to the cliff wall but caution falling rocks.
