An operating hangar with incredible aircrafts on display. Beautifully maintained. Great memorabilia that you can also purchase from the shop. Flying school and cafe are also just around the vicinity.

Lovely historical planes, I enjoyed the 75th anniversary a few years back. It's quite amazing to see replicas from the second world war fly.

Stayed at Ardmore NZMCA - Fantastic views of very busy airstrip & in particular the 4 Harvard's which took off 26.9.20. Ardmore Cafe we visited twice. Such beautiful food & service. Spotlessly clean & luvly, mannerly & attentive staff. Thank u

I went to this here airport and hopped in one of them planes and at first i was not impressed it was just like a car thought whats so special about this then all of a sudden sweet Johnson on a wine barrel the plane starts flying through the air. Was not expecting that it was like being a bird holy days it was weird 5 stars for this new tech still cant get over bicycles let alone these flying machines called planes hot damn.

New venue for the Papakura Swap meet. Not a bad venue, easy access and parking. Just unfortunate, the swap meet wasn't as good this year .. but otherwise, good location.

We time it right for the annual Wings over Ardmore Airshow

Have been here several times for airshows and a couple of flights. It is so quiet on non show days, you can just watch the light aircraft flying taking off and landing. You may even get to see a Warbird on a practice flight. On show days it is so different, so many people, so many aircraft and things happening. Always plenty of choice of food and drink. Find a good spot and enjoy the show. Parking is often backed up on the surrounding roads, so be prepared for lots of walking.

Bit noisy with helicopters hovering overhead for 20+ minutes at 7.30pm and the smell of aviation wasn't nice and seemed to be below the legal ceiling ? ?
