Had an appointment with Kim yesterday and she went above and beyond to give me the hair style I wanted. After having so many disappointing hair cuts recently she restored my faith in hairdressers. She treated my hair with respect and I came out of the salon feeling like a new woman. Thank you so much! I will definitely be back. Recommend Kim to anyone who wants a great hairdresser who will listen to their needs.

I've never really been into going to hair salons. But after today's visit, I'm already rebooked for my next cut! Decio is amazing! He is an absolute mind reader. He took the time to ensure the right hair shape for my face shape. He takes care and pride in his work. I truly could not be happier with the result and his service! He also works late nights, so for all you full time working mums who need some down time. This was absolutely perfect. Thank you Decio!

Ladies, you’ve found your new salon! A true gem in Papamoa Beach! I happened to be outside Refinery Studios as they were closing one evening and I admired the hair of everyone leaving the salon. After a quick review of their website and a search on Instagram I couldn’t believe my luck. A fantastic salon within walking distance of my new home! I was full of nervous excitement as I spoke to Decio and he inspected my locks. I watched him intently as he cut, blow dried, cut some more and styled my hair. His precision and focus is unparalleled. He graciously answered all my questions about why he did what he did. I left impressed and feeling like I could conquer the world. Even my husband was impressed and commented on the cut, a feat in itself. And I cannot fail to mention my shampoo. The scalp massage had me blissed out to the point that a few happy tears were unconsciously shed. Months of stress as well as the name of my stress relieving saviour melted away. Her name starts with L! Ask for her. Beg for her. Reschedule if it is her day off. The entire staff are wonderful. My husband, daughter and son are all sporting new dos. There is no reception desk but someone magically appears to welcome you when you walk in. If you just moved here and are looking for a new salon look no further. You can book online without fear. I’m partial to Decio but from what I observed, and I was watching 👀, you will be in good hands with whomever you choose. Call soon because I bet the chairs will be booking up. Just don’t take my spot!!!

I highly recommend Refinery's Decio if you have curly hair! He is the first person that I feel really knew how to deal with curly hair. He translated the haircare into terms that I could relate to and all his tips have made my hair so much healthier and manageable already. He also doesn't turn you into a mushroom! 10/10 recommend. I will certainly be frequenting again.

Love love love!! Kim was amazing! Great Pro service and lovely personality. Good vibe inside! Nice tunes playing to get the toes tapping while you're being pampered. Online booking was a breeze with email and text confirmations and reminders. Would highly recommend and will certainly be a regular!

Just had an amazing consultation with Decio! He took the time to really listen and understand what I was not liking about my hair. When selecting a colour treatment and style he took into consideration my face shape and skin tone as well as how much time I spend maintaining my hair. I'm so happy with the result, I have already booked my next appointment - thanks so much.

Pops is a fab hair colourist. So pleased with how my hair turned out and the products she suggested for after care. My scalp feels healthy.

I came in with extremely damaged hair after much neglect through moving cities and not having alot of care to my hair with lockdowns etc. I was thoroughly impressed by Kim's professional and down to earth approach and advice. She transformed me, shared some wonderful tips, and best of all I left feeling great about my hair again despite the dramatic change which was much needed to get it back to healthy. Went and saw them after a recommendation from a friend. Was up in Papamoa on holiday. Saw Greg the Master stylist. Wow!!! Guys if you are looking for a total precision cut and a primo wet shave he’s the man. Greg thanks mate for the awesome cut n shave. Highly recommend to anyone in Papamoa wanting an international top shelf cut n good ole fashioned cut throat shave.

Needed a new local barber, I decided to give Refinery Studios a go! When I arrived for my appointment with Greg, there was no waiting and straight into the chair. He offered me a coffee making me feel very welcome. He is so precise and made great conversation. I will definitely be returning. Greg, I have found my new local barber!

Really love how meticulous the employees are. A lot of attention to detail and will make you as comfy as possible, offering beers, coffees ect whilst getting hair done. Awesome men's section with lots of top end bloke products and things as Refinery Studios is both a high class barber, and a salon

Highly recommended senior hair stylist Nga. She gave me a brilliant hair cut and great colour. Salon is modern and clean and all the staff are very friendly. I look forward to my next visit. I have also used the barbers for a toddler haircut. Very impressed with their skill and ability to make them feel relaxed.

Everything about this place. I sent my man in for a works experience. Being a bit of a blokey, bloke he resisted... When I finally managed to get him to go in, he loved it! Out the back it was private, he was offered a beer or a coffee had a hot save and a haircut. He had the owner work on him for over an hour, and came out looking and feeling like a new man! I'll definitely be sending him back. Great work from an exceptional team.

Very inviting, I have visited twice now during the holiday season since I recently moved to Pap Beach area, I've used Hair Refinery as a Barbers and I haven't been disappointed, the staff are very friendly and enjoy a good chat, they are very professional and can't treat you enough, I saw a lovely guy called Paul that gave me full treatment and I left feeling awesome, it's always ideal to book however they are pretty open with walk-in's but be prepared for a wait if they are busy. Great Salon/Barbers in my opinion.

Coming here felt like such a treat. The place has a wonderful atmosphere and Nga is just amazing. I didn't really know how to explain what I was after, but she seemed to understand anyway and totally nailed it. I felt like I'd been pampered and looked after, and I walked out of there feeling like a million bucks. I have been living in the area for 3 years, and this is the first hairdresser I have felt like I definitely want to return to.

Such a well designed space, open and light yet great separation between the barber and salon side. All the staff are friendly, I love the greenery and it is well stocked with product and delicious refreshments! I came to Refinery Studios last week and it is safe to say I was very much in need of a fresh look. Infact since moving to NZ from England 2 years ago I have consistantly struggled to find someone who listens and actually spends the time that you actually need to get the fine detail into my haircut. I was so impressed with the professionalism and the eye for detail. Without a question of a doubt I will be using Refinery Studios again and i am relieved to actually look forward to having a nice haircut!!!

Absolutely highly rate my stylist Nga and the Refinery Studio's for that professional tailered to you as an individual experience. It has been many years since I have had a hairdresser who actually makes suggestions and recommendations on what would work and look and feel better on my hair! Nga excelled at this! Gone are the days of a hairdresser just piling the same old same old, month after month hair dye. Nga took charge of my hair and her suggestions are amazing! I completely trust her professional judgment as the results speak for themselves. The salon is beautifully laid out, clean and new! The place completely shines in quality, luxury and standards. I took both my boys hair for a hair cut and one of my boys us asd so hates his hair being cut but they were absolutely wonderful with both my boys and they are super happy with their cuts I've even booked myself in to get my hair done 😊 highly recommended them very professional and friendly and make you feel so welcome.
