This is an amazing piece of waterway that was developed by the Royals when they developed the Royal Palms subdivision in the early eighties . Unfortunately it is being planted back to the Papamoa main drain that it was before people had vision to improve it. Council ,driven by central government and iwi are ensuring that nothing English looking should remain although the majority of local residents want it to remain as it is . Let your voice be heard.

Next to the best beach anywhere in the world is our own quite wee papamoa green belt. I spent a lovely holiday lunch time eating cajun chicken salad and watching miniature yacht races on miniature lakes. Doesn't come any better...
