E. S.Tickets were cheap because of being an event cinemas member & special was on so $20 for me & my niece. Food was average. Seats good. Bathroom seemed to be reasonable standard of cleanliness. Customer service was okay defs not exceptional. Overall experience was average but would still recommend good whanau environment when I took my niece to see Sing 2 today, so on that note have given my review a 4 star review.

T. O.I recently went to the movies with a few girlfriends and I must say the young staff were wonderful as I was making up my mind what I wanted to buy food wise. They didn't look frustrated as I took my time looking for the best deal. The staff were very warm and professional. Great experience! Well done.

R. H.My wife and I went to an 8:15pm showing and everything was very good.
I had a decent APA for $9, my wife a Sauvignon Blanc or similar , and the counter person was extremely nice and helpful.
Advised us of the CineBuzz card and we ended up going in for about $11/each.
Seats were very comfortable with a reasonable drink holder, temperature of the room was good, and no bleed-over of sound, but I think maybe this one did not have an adjacent screen room.
As a musician, former sound engineer, and audio store owner I am often disappointed with sound systems in smaller town theaters, for logical enough reasons. I found the sound system at Costlands Event Cinema quite good. The super-base was a bit out of balance and over powering, but overall the sound was _very_ good compared to some I have been to in New Zealand recently (Matakana Cinema up towards Mangawhai, for example. Nice theater, seats etc. but horrible sound.)
We'll be going back during our remaining weeks in Paraparaumu.

F. W.I needed to wait for the paint to dry in my new art modern painting studio, bc, the heaters dry up my skin. I can't think of a better placd to watch Spiral the film, so I did, Janet clutched my elbow at 1 point, ive got the marks 😀. This cinema is comfortable, quiet and I couldnt find a better excuse to take her on a date lol 😆

Lost a star due to adds doubling up (boring) and the door being secured open after the movie started resulting in one of the patrons having to go down and sort it out... Staff member should've handled that (lame).

S. P.Usuallly really enjoy going to the movies at Events Paraparaumu. My daughter and I went to the 3.15pm Mary Poppins Returns viewing today. All was going well until someone in the row behind us started kicking the seat. We kept turning around to let whoever know that we could feel it and my daughter finally said "could you please stop kicking the seat". The response was giggling. Obviously it was a big joke. !!! So therefore we did not enjoy the movie, our downtime, as much as we should have. Why do people do these things????
L. H.Local cinema great .... one fault ... not always people on the door , and if someone was dishonest they could sneak in , thats during the day . Cost wise find their , confectionery , ice creams and popcorn priced over the top ...
