Ngati Toa Domain in Plimmerton, is a really nice park which has the benefit of open fields on one side and the beach on the other. The playground is not that big, but with all the natural opportunities for fun around, it doesn't need to be. A great park for connecting with the outdoors.

Great overnight camp close to Wellington, perfect sunny day spot with lots to see and do nearby including a park for the kids and sports fields and venues included. Check out the boats at Mana marina and grab a bite near by. Train straight in to Wellington or north to Kapiti coast

Best free campsite in the Wellington area. Sea views. Lots of boats coming and going. Thirty minutes to the city.

Great spot for walking the dog. Best at low tide on the beach as rocks make it a bit dodgy for running the dog. Dogs are meant to be on leash on the playing fields but off lead for the beach. Bit of bird life and a few rabbits in the dunes. Saw a leopard seal once but they are pretty rare. Not the best swimming spot but great for kite surfing. Campervan facilities are limited to one public toilet.

What a great location to have some fun out on the water. Westshore Sea Scouts have participated in the Onepoto Regatta here on multiple occasions and have loved every moment of it.

Has a minimal playground for the little ones but lots of room for them to run about. Pleasant place to bring a lawn chair and hang out by the water on a nice day. Shallow water allows them to splash around a bit when it's warm.

Good area for a easy walk. A lot of sport is on weekends when its fine weekend: no parking space and hard to turn around or wait too long to get out. Three nights camping is allowed with camper van in specific areas. I saw some people fishing and marina is not far.

Grew up near here so it was good to 'return home" Still the same old toilets which are a bit dodgy due to the half door so watch your kids in there, anyone can easily peer over the door.

Fantastic beaches, wide open spaces and play areas too. We love coming here snd spending s bit if quality time together in the fresh air. Ngati Toa Domsin has been set up so that you can make it whatever you want. Picnics, freedom camping, sports, fishing or just having a stroll.

Clean public toilets and great place to spend a night or two in a motorhome. It gets packed pretty early so make sure you arrive early. The spots on the right offer the best flat surface and least amount of wind.

Great park in the middle of Paremata where you can watch rugby, go fishing, there are freedom campers and places for them to berth. And then there's the boating club.. Cool place!

Our first experience freedomcamping. Don't recommend arriving late off the ferry... some of the other campers can get easily offended. Great site. Toilets clean and tidy. Just need to park so door out of the wind as was very windy the day we got there. God bless.

We exercise our dog here. Our dog Jack is blind and having a clear area with no trees is a must to throw the ball for him. Then he can use his nose to find it without running into obstacles. Being next to the water is nice too!

A lovely domain to play sports, follow the walking path through to Plimmerton, play in the sea, camp and walk your dog as there is a dog park there too. There is also a small play area. Porirua Harbour is situated next door.
