Cool place for walking the dog amongst well established foliage and a series of easy trails. Currently squeezed between the dump and a commercial area. Few creeks and cool off track areas for exploring. Not a large amount of wildlife or bird life. Not sure how long we will have it for as it’s marked to become a mountain bike park.

A natural reserve starting at Broken Hill Road Carpark. This is also one of the starting points for the Colonial Knob Summit walk, which I planned for later. Adjacent to the Spicer landfill. It is an arboretum of exotic trees. And has small easy walkways with interesting names. The sound of a small water stream can be heard at times and very pleasing to the ears.

Beautiful park filled with walking and bike trails. I did the walking trails and can’t wait to bring my bike here.

This is a nice bit of Bush at the bottom of Colonial Knob. Easily accessible for all ages and abilities. Our toddlers can manage the full loop with a bit if cajoling - even if they are tired out afterwards. There are some picnic tables and a big open area to run around in. The birdlife is amazing. Watch out for mountain bikers coming down the trails.

The kids (4 & 7) instantly fell in love with this place, and so did I. The diverse tree varieties, the streams, the native birds. On a nice day, Spicer is a fantastic place for a picnic or some forest exploration.

Beautiful park. Great to take a dog on leash. Range of flora and fauna from different countries to enjoy. Picnic tables in the entrance area. Bike tracks and tracks up Colonial Knob adjoining.

Excellent walking park especially through the Bush. Great place to walk dogs. Walking tracks for all levels of fitness and if you look around the Colonial Knob track, you can find Smurf Corner. A magical place where lots of Smurfs hang out and paint rocks.

Great wee spot to walk kids, play in stream and have picnic. Really close to the rubbish dump but you would not know. Its real clean & no smell

Rode through the Spicer forest to Porirua, had lunch and rode back to Ohairu Valley Road. Such a peaceful and Beautiful ride

This is lovely park I come here early morning once a week with our dogs. The park is full of different species trees from around the world. Autumn & Spring is especially colourful. A great place to clear the mind & plan the day.

Great bush walks. Only sad thing was the noisy machinery operating nearby today. Aside from that, the Park's combination of walking and bike tracks have something to offer everyone!

This is my kids' favourite mountain bike park...mostly because the uphill isn't too steep, and the downhill is well groomed and fun. Popular, but never seems busy so you feel like it's aaallll yours!

It's really beautiful and well located. Easy to access. Not very friendly for people who move with the help of a wheelchair or who is with a stroller because the entry is not big. Apart from that the place offer different walkings, from the begginers to advanced walkers. It's dog's friendly.

Brilliant little botanical gardens that connect directly to the Porirua Scenic Reserve tracks around colonial knob. Signage could be a little better, and parking in the tiny carpark is usually an issue. If using a mountain bike, consider going to the other entrance on Raiha Street.

Great mountain bike tracks and walking tracks through the forest. There are a few areas you could have a picnic too. Small carpark though but never full.
