What a beautiful place! The waterfall is a surprise! There are tracks for an easy or challenging walk down to the pools. A deck for photos.

Enjoyed our little adventure in here, loved how quite it was from away humans, but being able to hear the various bird songs. The waterfall is a drawcard too

The waterfall, the stream n the bush walk are a perfect combination. The place is not too far from Akl central so it’s pretty handy for weekend treat. The only catch is that the car park is pretty small. It’s quite steep on your way return to the car park. It’s ok only when it’s dry.

This is an excellent short walk. In wet conditions you'll need strong grippy boots but in the dry, sports shoes are fine. There is a Weta home near the start for the kids to look at and the forest cover is great on a hot day. After 10 minutes you'll reach the stream and then follow that to the waterfall. In Summer there's often not much water but after a day or two of rain, it's quite a spectacle. Hide your phones when you park your car: some thieves haunt the area from time to time.

Decent sized car park. Is a nice reserve with good farm and bush walk if you decide to do the loop or can just do the bush walk and see waterfall and can cool off in swimming area IG📷_leon_04

Exactly like the photos, no filter needed. Short easy walk to the falls, though it does get slippery in places. If you're adverse to getting muddy, best to only visit after a spell of good weather when the track is dry.

Steep trail down to the waterfall and back up, but well marked and easy to follow. Beautiful bush and waterfall and not a long walk.

Lovely quiet reserve with a real old feel to it. Looks like something out of a fantasy novel. Track is muddy and slippery in places, not a good place for mobility devices. No public bathrooms or any other facilities.

It's a cute little place. Walk is easy as. Could definitely have a picnic in here during the summer. Love you can go to local venue and just be in glorious nature.

Brilliant short walk. To get the most, if u haven't got a dog, it will be good to park the car in Clive Howe car park, walk through the private land. A map is attached in my uploaded picture.

Lovely little bushwalk. Takes about 10 minutes to get down to the bottom, easy gradual slope. Easily handled by our 5 and 3 year olds, though it does get a bit slippery after rain fall so take some spare clothes for the little ones. The waterfall is beautiful after a good down pour and the kids enjoyed racing their leaf boats down the stream.

A beautiful gem well hidden. There's very little parking, and the walk is not for the faint-hearted. The rewards are amazing - a beautiful river stream, crystal-clear waters with pools. A wonderful place to take the family.

Gorgeous place! Very magical and definitely worth a visit. You start off with a short walk through a forest and then eventually come to the stream from the waterfalls, and it's truly a great sight. As you continue, you get closer to the waterfalls and you can see stones and trees covered in moss. The waterfalls are cascading, and very lovely to just stand and watch. Not very crowded (at least for us), so you could stay there for a while and admire the gorgeous piece of nature.

This is a fantastic waterfall, the only problem is it is very muddy and the paths are steep, so it's quite slippery even with gumboots on. Roll on summer!

This was a gorgeous wee path. But note it is very very short. So if you're travelling just to walk it, it will probably take less than the time it took you to drive there.
